Summary Oneshot: Donnie has been crushing on you ever since he has met you. You’ve been crushing on the smexy nerd also. Then puns come in. Donnie started it, but you finished it.

Oh yeah it was happening. Once was a small competition and now a full on war. A pun war of course. First you, the boys, and April were all hanging out. You all watched movies, ate pizza and hot wings, and then Donnie spoke up. It made you completely freeze.

“Hey Mikey?”

“Wassup bro?”

Donnie had a small smirk on his face and his brothers knew that smirk.

“How do you throw a space party?”

Raph huffed, “Mikey please don’t ask how…”

Mikey ignored Raph and was actually curious about what Donnie was saying and asked, “How?”

“You planet.”

Mikey sat there for a moment, then he got the pun and his lips made an ‘oh’, meanwhile April giggled at Miley’s reaction and Donnie’s pun. Leo only smiled while Raph rolled his eyes and groaned, but that got him an elbow to the side by Leo. You prepared for this moment. You were the queen/king of puns. You picked up a piece of pizza (with the most cheese) and snickered.

“Bro that was cheesy…” You said, taking a bite of your slice, smiling.

“Oh no not you.” Raph groaned, yet again earning another elbow to the side from Leo.

April knew you for a long time and she knew that smirk on your face. She was already pulling out her wallet. Meanwhile Mikey snickered and Leo chuckled, shaking his head at you two. Donnie was shell shocked for a moment. Did you just call his pun cheesy while also making a pun? He had nothing to say, still in shock, making you smirk. You grabbed a small ketchup packet from April’s lunch, throwing it at Donnie.

“Come on Donnie ketchup.”

Donnie jumped and looked at the ketchup packet. Ok so this is the way it’s gone be? A smirk started to play a way on Donnie’s face slowly.

“The yolks on you. That pun was a load of crop.”

You tried your hardest not to let out a giggle, but you didn’t stop the smile from forming on your face. Oh yeah, it was on.

“Let’s act like Adulterers here.” You spat back.

April covered her mouth with her hand, trying to stop her giggles. Leo was only smiling, while Mikey kept snickering, but he was so close to laughing. Raph rolled his eyes, but secretly you were good at this whole pun thing. It was really punny. Donnie shook his head at that one and cleared his throat. He picked up the small bucket of wings.

“Try not to wing it?”

You snickered and picked up your soda can, “Wow that pun was soda pressing.” Taking a sip afterwards.

Mikey was already laughing and April still fought to keep her giggles laughing. Leo kept chuckling and a small smirk was shown on Raph’s face. His smirk got larger as Donnie gulped. Mikey then whispered to April.

“Bet my money Donnie wins.”

April scoffed and whispered back, “Please y/n is champion…”

Donnie had no idea what to say, but then weakly said, whilst picking up a slice of pizza, “Do you wanna pizza me?”

Your snickered and quickly grabbed a small packet of salt, “Oh Don don’t be salty.” You held up the packet of salt for him to see.

Donnie rolled his eyes, “I am not salty!” He pouted.

You faked a pout and picked up the small packet of pepper, “Aw, here, let me pepper your evening with more of my puns.”

Donnie huffed, but he smiled. He had nothing. For once he could not come up with anything. April smirked as Mikey whined, giving her twenty bucks. You smirked in victory. Then picked up a slice of pepperoni pizza and pointed at it.

“My puns cannot be topped.”

Boom! Mic drop bitch.

Donnie nodded, impressed, but he would come up with more puns! He will! Leo finally let out small laugh, while Raph full on grinned. April smiled, mentally celebrating her own little victory as she held her knew twenty bucks. Mikey just laughed. In the end Donnie held out his hand towards you, now a friendly smile on his face.

“Well done.” He said as you both shook hands with each other.

A small blush was starting to form on your face, but you nodded, “Not so bad yourself.” You said, smiling.

Donnie chuckled and the rest of the night you both had huge smiles on your faces. Oh but this war wasn’t over. Donnie was gonna win. He was competitive. And if it meant researching puns all day and all night, then so be it. Secretly he just loves talking to you…

Hmm… Reader is a sweetie pie who ALWAYS wears Turquoise. Leo has a huge crush on her. This can either be angst (Reader dies, blood all over Leo) or a fluff (Reader seeks comfort bc every happy person sheds tears too, and he figured out she was upset by feeling her tears?). Simple: Wearing a Green Tea perfume. He likes the floral scented perfumes you wear, but his favorite is the ‘Green Tea’ style of perfumes. 

Complex: Being motherly towards his brothers. He loves watching that side of you, it makes him notice how amazing of a mother you’d be. It warms his heart.

RAPH

Simple: Wearing his color. Especially if it’s lipstick or a tight little dress. As long as he gets to touch you.

Complex: When you watch him work out, he’ll show off constantly. Flexing his muscles, letting out small pants or grunts. He likes watching you get heated up over it.

DONNIE

Simple: Scratching his shell. He loves the feeling of your nails against his shell, it’s so relaxing and he always churs.

Complex: Fixing something of his. Just coming over and fixing a mistake he made, watching just how smart and clever you are.

We know I love both Donnie and Leo, but when it comes down to it I think it depends on the day.

Today is a Donnie day. I'd love to wake up in the middle of the night to the smell of coffee and walk into the kitchen to see a fresh cup but your husband nowhere in sight. You find him in his lab downstairs, head resting against his arms and a screwdriver still in his hand as he let out soft breaths.

Nights like these would be common with him, and you'd rub his shell to wake him up and lead him slowly back upstairs to your bedroom to get some sleep.

Leo on the other hand would go out for early morning runs. He usually woke up a few hours before you, but sometimes he'd wake you up and insist you join him, even volunteering to carry you.

So there you were, still in your pajamas hugging his shell with your eyes closed as he kept across the rooftops. When he came to a stop he patted your hand and told you to look. He always found the perfect places to watch the sun rise, yellow fading to pink and then purple that stained the clouds as the city began to wake up.

You nuzzled into him as you watched, grateful to have such a peaceful moment until it was time to return home.

I'm feeling down today so how about a depressing ask. What if the guys knew something was wrong with their crush and when they finally ask/get it out of them their crush starts crying and in the most serious tone says, "I just want it all to end, I just want to die..." Leo: his jaw would drop just a little when they fall against his shoulder, body racked with sobs. he’d pull them close instantly, forgetting completely about how nervous he used to be having them close, how his face would heat up uncontrollably… he’d only care about making them not hurt anymore. he’d rub their back and let them cry, saying over and over again, “please don’t die. the world wouldn’t be the same without you.”

Raph: he’d take hold of their shoulders say with all the tender seriousness in the world, “Listen. I know things suck right now. But” he’d poke their nose and make em giggle just a little through their tears “you have to promise me you’ll NEVER let anything make you feel anything less than completely worth it. ‘kay?” He’d hug them fiercely. “Cuz you’re awesome, and if I believe it, then… no one else’s opinion matters. Cuz…cuz I’m awesome too.” Cue more tortured laughs.

Donnie: he has an enormous vocabulary, a huge vault of memory that holds thousands, maybe even millions of iotas of knowledge. He could spout off any sort of advice he wants… but let’s be honest, Donatello knows what it feels like to be without hope. He looks at them with the most heartbroken look, and just opens his arms a little. His crush slams into his bear hug, and they sit there, buried in each other, letting sorrow wash over and through them for a while.

Mikey: he’d say “oh baby cakes, no…” he’d rush forward and wipe the tears from their eyes, offering them a tiny smile. “whatever it is, i’ll help you through it. pinky promise.” he takes their hands and attempts to entwine his huge last finger with their finger. he’d grin, but the smile would fade when he saw their sad  features. he’d stroke their cheek real gentle, and whisper, “we’ll get through this. YOU will get through this. You can do it.”
