and all for the sake of belonging
The fact that Eren has prepared a scenario for armin with the places he wanted to go AND ONLY DEDICATED TO HIM.... I'm not crying :')
nooo i don't think about hange spending their last years on being a commander with loads of responsibilities and rather boring duties compared to their fun experiments and brilliant researches which they had enjoyed very much hahaha im not thinking about that at all!!
Humanity’s Strongest Soldier
shoutout to taigen for being the most expressive character in the entire show.
you will never not know whatever the hell he is feeling or thinking at the moment because he will literally tell you (either very earnestly like when he traumadumps to mizu or very sarcastically which is the other 99% of the time he talks to mizu) or you will see it plain as day on his face.
this is the textbook definition of a man wearing his heart on his sleeve. look in the dictionary for what a "simple man" means and you will find taigen's face there.
like once you cut through the massive ego and pompousness he uses to mask his own insecurities and traumas, he is literally just some guy. he's not evil or stupid. not super kind or super smart either. an asshole but not the worst there is. he's incredibly skilled but he's not the strongest ever or even the most skilled. he is literally! just a guy!
y'all can hate him all you want but let's be real, taigen is actually the most relatable character out of everyone. like this man is POOR, he is PATHETIC, he is COMPLAINING ALL THE TIME, and most of all he is OBSESSED WITH MIZU. if that shit ain't relatable idk what is.

no one will ever understand you because how could they when everyone is so different from each other and even you, yourself struggle to recall your past thoughts, your emotions and when you reach them they are all blurry and re-shaped and mirror your current mindset; you'll try to make sense out of them but you'll fail because you are moving forward , changing without understanding a single thing about yourself nor others
I need you all to understand how insane it is that Mizu literally almost dying and being overpowered by hundreds of men is placed adjacent to when she let herself be intimate with the man who would eventually betray her. The way those scenes were cut was intentional in the way that yeah, Mizu was just reminiscing of her old life in how she became the ‘monster’ she thinks she is, but it’s also how it implies that IT FELT THE SAME TO HER. Being vulnerable has ALWAYS led to life or death ultimatums, so much so that now she associates them all together. Revenge or love, what’s the difference? Are they not the same? She doesn’t have the luxury of allowing herself that intimacy, because the love has always been tainted by betrayal and that betrayal has always led to bloodshed; her or them.
it may not seem like it but i think he has a really high emotional intelligence. he knew what kind of a person mizu is and he sensed that he must stay at her side because you know, she'll definetly need him. it's just mizu herself didn't know it yet so he had to prove his point :)
+ off topic but besides admiring mizu and seeing her as a master, as a friend, ringo chosed that path for mostly himself. like, he saw a lot of new things, places, people. learned so much and felt useful. he probably experienced way more stuff than he had in his previous lifestyle. i feel like gaining a close friend and helping someone to be great are just bonus points
thinking about how Ringo was so insistent on being Mizu's apprentice that he fr still followed her around after she literally threatened to kill him
