Me Describing What Six Of Crows Is About

Changes- 8th year

Hello all!

So I thought I’d share with you this little piece that I’ve put together, this is my first time writing something of this length so I apologise if it’s not that good. Also I’ve seen lots of pierced!Harry things circulating on Tumblr so credit to anyone else who has written something along these lines.  

Leading up to his return to Hogwarts for his eighth year, Draco had prepared himself. He’d been prepared for the endless taunts, for the bullying, for the physical assaults but what he hadn’t prepared himself for was the change Harry Potter had gone through. You’d assume that saving the Wizarding World would be enough fun for a lifetime right? Oh no. The Saviour returned with his messy hair tied into a bun, tattoos covering his arms, piercings and an incredibly fit body. Draco knew he was fucked. The tattoos seemed to tell a story whilst oozing confidence and the piercings, well to Draco they made his mind run in many places it shouldn’t. On anybody else these would be intolerable but on Harry Potter they were divine. Draco believed that the endless bullying was probably less of an impact than Potter.

Day in and day out Draco found himself letting his gaze wonder back to the one and only Mr Potter. Draco wasn’t an idiot, he knew that Potter must have been aware that he’d been ogling him for the past week. But who wouldn’t? Harry practically had the whole Hogwarts population simply falling at his feet. Draco, however, refused to be another one of Potters “fans”. He was just simply appreciating him. That was bollocks and even Draco knew it, he would happily do anything Potter said if it meant he could stare at him for a second longer. Not that that was all Draco wanted to do mind you. Who was he kidding? He wanted Potter, he wanted to feel the icy metal of Potter’s lip ring in his mouth, he wanted to trace every inch of Potter’s tattoos. It was sinful, but after all Draco is no Saint.

then you miscontrued and misinterpreted what i said to make it seem like i agree with you, which i fucking don't. you broke the fucking good faith, and here i was thinking that maybe this might turn into something fruitful. just save me the trouble and tell me from the start that you are a fucking brat who can't take no for a fucking answer ever.

first of all, this post has never been about "ending the circle of violence" or whatever the fuck that shit show of an ending was trying to say. it's an irrelevant point to make that came out of nowhere. do you have a habit of stringing along every thought you have in your head and try to make it fit your narrative or did you never get the chance to learn critical thinking?

secondly, you are assuming that if i'm critical of the show i can't ever agree on any of its message. you assume that just because i don't agree with certain character arcs it means i have to be disagreeable to every single fucking thing said in the show. so basically i can't like something and be critical of it at the same time? so media literacy is dead now? say that again three times in your head, do you not find it fucking ridiculous?

and now, at this point of the conversation, you decide to throw in the "nuanced character" argument and accuse me of being performative, while this fucking conversation has never been about characters to begin with?

and whether or not i agree with how the show ends doesn't invalidate any of the things i just said, and if you can't grow a fucking brain cell big enough to comprehend that, then we're done here.

It is WILD that you say “selling drugs and engaging in gang turf war does not make you not a citizen” as if that changes the fact that they’re still CRIMES.

I mean, if your logic is that Zaun is technically part of Piltover and thus falls under Piltover’s jurisdiction… committing a CRIME under their jurisdiction means you can suffer consequences from your actions. No? It doesn’t MATTER if you’re a citizen or not. Being a citizen doesn’t give you free rein to do whatever you want! You have to obey laws!

If I’m a citizen of a city in America, and I do a crime, the police of that city are allowed to take away my rights as a citizen. That’s what being a citizen in a functional society MEANS!

Everyone complains about how annoying film students are to know but you don’t really understand the depths of film student hell until you’ve been in film classes

-The kid who tried to convince the professor that men’s rights activists were good and like feminists because he thought the class was too focused on feminism and it wasn’t fair

-The girl who was inspired by an ISIS attack to write a romantic drama about a woman who falls in love with a terrorist

-The guy who didn’t know “beat” in a script meant that you paused the length of a musical beat and would hit the table every time he saw it

-“My character is a kind, likable, smart, funny, talented jock that everyone loves. His weakness? He’s too perfect and popular.” “What’s his character arc?” “A girl who doesn’t like him learns to like him.” “But how does he grow and get better?” “Oh he doesn’t.” “What’s his flaw?” “He doesn’t have one.”

-The professor who asked us to argue one side of an argument or another for our papers but only let us use references that agreed with her opinion

-The guy reading aloud my script and didn’t understand that “he runs his hand through his hair anxiously” meant his own hair so he started anxiously running his fingers through the other guy’s hair

-“My character is based on me. He’s a nice guy who doesn’t have a lot of friends, he’s smart, girls don’t really pay attention to him and he’s never dated or had sex. … He’s not entirely based on me actually I shouldn’t have said that.”

-The professor who had us watch porn for homework then again in class while high schoolers were visiting

-The guy who was a super atheist who only wrote movies making fun of religion and took zero criticism because no one “got” his ideas

-“It’s about a society where robots have taken over all manual jobs so society is in upheaval as half the population is out of work. My main character is a super hero.” “Is he fighting against the rich people like Robin Hood?” “No he’s fighting the unemployed rioters.” “… That’s a bad idea.”

-The guy who wanted to be a voice actor so found every excuse to do his horrible voices in class with his favorites being a cartoon Asian accent and jive talk

-The time we had to be in groups and write a kids story and the group that unironically wrote about a scared bunny who learned to be brave and that playing in traffic is fun

-The film writing professor who didn’t know what the word climax meant in relation to plot points in a script and said she didn’t think films had a concept of having a story climax and it only happened in books

-“That reminds me of this time I was in the Louvre on shrooms…”
