Ao3 is actually massively culturally important and very very good at being what it is. I’m so serious when I say that ao3 needs to be protected as the anti censorship, by fans for fans, nonprofit, volunteer run, expertly designed archival site that it is. You don’t have to read or like fanfiction to understand that on principle, ao3 is a site that should be defended.

reciprocal murder attempts are cool. and hot. yeah, i get it. but give me two characters who are OBSESSED WITH EACH OTHER. joined at the hip. cannot be apart for more than five minutes. they come in a package that says DO NOT SEPARATE. you try to do that and they start hissing like rabid cats. they would never ever hurt each other. ever. their relationship is filled with grand romantic gestures. every time someone flirts with them they quickly shut them down saying they're taken. monogamous. ride or die. if one of them dies then the other either dies from a broken heart or continues living but feels empty forever. they welcome death with open arms because that means they will get to see their love again.

HELP needed covering rent and bills. Please spread!

I was already kind of screwed over monetarily with my hours getting cut back to about half of what they were but it got worse. Tuesday (09/19/23) I got into an car accident while on my way to work.

While I walked away mostly unscathed I received a minor fracture on my right hand and my scooter (my primary transportation to work) is totally busted.

I only really need about $250 to make it cozily through this bill cycle without facing any late fees.

The fracture is unfortunately on my dominant hand so I can't comfortably offer commission or sketch requests until the splint is off unless you're fine with waiting.

i don't think people take me too serious when i say i'm legally blind. Like, guys I am legally never allowed to drive, I need assistance with a lot of stuff because I can't see. People both irl and online tend to be like "oh but you're not THAT BAD OFF" it's not a thing of whether my eyes are "that bad off" it doesn't matter, they're still blind. i still use magnifying and screen readers. i'm learning braille because my eyes are getting progressively worse and I'd like to be able to still read.

I may not be totally blind, but that's the thing, a lot of blind people AREN'T Totally blind. Blindness is a spectrum. and i don't think a lot of people realize that. And I'm just as valid in my blindness as someone on the spectrum with better eyesight than me, or someone with worse.

(This is OK to reblog. I hope that sighted people who might read this really get it into their heads that blindness is a spectrum...)
