This is literally post-Naboo Maul. to mee
"Anakin was manipulated by palpatine" "palpatine groomed Anakin to become his apprentice" do u ever think about how palpatine came from a planet with a history of young queens who were democratically elected, got his own massive political power with help from his sith master and not by his own merit, then took advantage of padme to achieve greater power bc he knew she'd do anything to save Naboo from the crisis he initiated?
Like obvs there's a lot of things that make palps a Bad Guy, but I just feel like crimes against Naboo, Naboo's culture and history, and padme in particular are too often overlooked. Padme was not naive, she just didn't expect the man who represented the interests of her whole planet (and 35 other planets also btw) to have organized an invasion of their shared home world. Justice for my girl
Qui-Gon Jinn apologist not in that I defend him but in that I’m always apologizing for his shit
I love love love the Jedi Apprentice series for obi-wan backstory bc it adds so much to his character... But to do that for him and ignore the fact that padme has the same depth to her (if not more!) is really disrespectful imo
it does bother me how deeply people will mine obi-wan's child soldier trauma that comes from a dubiously-canon book and isn’t referenced at any point in the movies (or shows), but straight-up never talk about padme's child soldier/queen trauma, which is half the plot of tpm and while maybe clumsily followed-up on, is nonetheless a real genuine part of her character included from the start
i <3 menial tasks. for srs.
i feel like luke would be very nervous to tell din about his family but then he realizes it doesn’t matter bc din doesn’t even know who darth vader is and also doesn’t give a shit
the way that history must weigh upon the mind of the living in order for anyone to move forward….
padme saying “i don’t know you anymore” the key to it all maybe..she’s fought with anakin before, she’s witnessed him do terrible things, but she’s never felt like she didn’t know him. their backstories parallel each other, they both had stolen childhoods, padme would’ve felt like anakin was one of the few people in the galaxy who could understand her—and in turn, she one of the few who could understand him. her “i don’t know you anymore” comes with an implied “and you must not have known me as as well as i thought, because this isn’t what i want.” she’s mourning the loss of her first (and really, only) real connection to another human in that scene. is it a little fucked for her prioritize that connection over the suffering of others? well yes . but also very romantic ...
So I was going through a drawer of stuff from when I was little and I found this…
I say Jungkook bias because all jk stans are hot and a little evil
I know I'm not the only one to notice this, but osha's tattoo is incredibly similar to the BTS logo ...Osha is a space ARMY? Sparmy? Probably Jungkook biased imo
