Warehouse 13 + text posts: part 1. [Part 2]
Thank you for everyone’s advice on which Shazam comics to get. ⚡️
horrific article from the bbc broke last about israel detaining healthcare workers, stripping them naked, and beating them for days on end. we already knew israel was doing this to palestinian detainees, but to be deliberately targeting medical personnel--doctors and nurses and medical assistants on the ground trying to heal wounded palestinians--and then literally torturing them are on levels of cruelty i can't even begin to compute.
a humanitarian law expert in this article calls the footage coming out of this "concerning." i call it the terms racists love to throw baselessly at arabs: barbaric and inhumane.
reminded of this post again, and i am so saddened.
Its not about growing up. You are a child, holding hands with your mother at a festival. She tells you to stay put. You listen, because she is your mum. You stay. and stay. and stay. The sky gets dark. People are staring. You are taken to home after home. Some people dont like you. Some people dont treat you kind. Some arent bad, but arent great either. They all dont fit. You run. No adult believes in you. Its you against the world. It's always been you against them. You run. Youre taken to another family. Same as the rest. Most likely. Possibly. The kids are okay. Maybe the adults are decent. Youre still gonna run at the end of the week. Actually, next week. Maybe once the kids birthday passes. Maybe once the holidays kick in.
You are a child. You never really got to be one. You are just learning you can. be one, that is. That you have time. That they support you. Youve never had that before. Not for a long time. You are scared, to both have it and lose it.
Something is wrong. Your magic is unstable. You wake up as someone far older than you really are. You cant trust yourself. People are depending on you. You dont want to lose them, but know that if you dont have something they want, that theyll pack up and leave. You are a child, but not for long.
This is not about growing up.
Hey, I was wondering if you could find this fic where Peter and Tony go to a cafe and they are sitting inside a booth? and then Peter spots Flash and his friends but doesn't tell Tony and then Tony goes somewhere and flash comes and sits near Peter and starts insulting him but then Tony comes back. I know it's quite specific but I have tried searching this fic several times but I just can't find it. Please help me.
Not sure, because it’s just Flash and it’s from his perspective but it could be:
Observing by Dunvillo
"No. No. That wasn’t possible. There was no way that Peter Parker was telling the truth about his so-called internship. There is no way that Peter Parker knew Tony Stark well enough to grab ice cream with him. There was no way that Peter Parker knew Tony Stark. But before Flash could even remotely dismiss the idea, Tony Stark grabbed his two ice cream orders and sat down next to Peter Parker."
Flash is at the same ice cream shop as Tony and Peter and decides to eavesdrop. AKA Flash witnesses Tony and Peter being domestic af.

what’s the best way for peter parker, college student, to show his idols that he’s completely serious about his training?

Regina Mills is finally back home in America after serving 10 yrs in a high security prison in Mexico. She was paroled on good behaviour. Her crime? Having her husband murdered in a “botched up hi jack” whilst vacationing in Mexico. The hi jacker - Sidney Glass - turned her in after he was caught and told just how many years he’d be serving for his crime and so he cut a deal after he realised she never really did love him. So Regina goes to trial and pleads guilty by reason of self defence - she claims that it was an arranged marriage to a man old enough to be her father, and in which she had been tormented to 8 years of marital rape and severe beatings. She’d finally had enough when nobody would believe her so she took matters in her own hands and orchestrated this ho jacking when a planned business trip to Mexico came up. The Mexican courts were not sympathetic to her reasoning and gave her 30 yrs in a high security Mexican prison.
So now she is back in America, and makes her home in a new town where nobody knows her - Storybrooke, Maine. She’s looking for a quiet life away from the press and prying eyes.
After just a couple of days of settling into her new home, she finally braves the grocery store and whilst waiting in a queue to buy her things, the person behind (Dr Whale, perhaps?) her recognises her and starts hurling accusations at her. Emma, the off duty sheriff, is in store doing her own shopping with her son Henry. She hears the commotion and goes to investigate. She recognises Regina and comes to the rescue and stands up for Regina. She then waits for Regina to pay for her things and escorts her to her car in case she has more trouble with Whale or anybody else. She even offers to follow Regina home just in case. Regina is hesitant but then accepts after she sees Whale exiting the store and eyeing her. It turns out that Regina lives in the same apartment building as Emma and Henry. They become friends and Regina slowly let’s her walls down and confides in Emma. Emma has her built in lie detector and knows Regina is telling the truth when she tells Emma that she did what she did in self defence. That Leo had once beaten her so badly, she was left incapacitated for days and locked in a room with just bread and water. She knew one day he’d kill her so she decided to kill him first. So they start out as friends and then more…SQ happy ending.

When Penny Parker saved Morgan Stark she didn't expect anything to come of it. In fact, she'd learned not to expect much of anything from anybody after returning from being dust.
She hadn't counted on Tony Stark's inability to let a little thing like finding and thanking the person who saved his daughter go. Or on his determination to save her right back.
