Nothing inspires me to write poetry more than reading poetry. Literally every time I have ever sat down to read poetry, within 10 minutes I am bent over scribbling notes and annotations and whole sonnets.

Sometimes because I loved what I read. Sometimes because I hated it. Sometimes because I wanted to make it better, make it different, make it mine.

As an artist, there is nothing wrong with seeking inspiration in other work.

I feel like I don’t hear that given enough as advice for writers block..just read? Watch tv? Movies? Find inspiration in media.

Writers block is a lack of inspiration, so go collect more.

Jess is uncomfortable around Lorelei because he notices that it’s weird how pro-Dean she is. He’s uncomfortable because he recognizes signs of parentification in Rory.

I’m just saying:

How often do you meet a teenager who is ridiculously obsessed with going off to college and always has been unless they’re running from something? If anything he could have been cagey around Lorelei cause he was waiting to see if the abuse was worse.

He knows how much Rory eats. He knows that the Gilmore’s have food insecurity. He brings over a giant box of food because he’s gone hungry before and he wants to make sure she’s fed until her mom gets home.

i love it when a character is so clueless but simultaneously uncomfortably aware of everything

Oh it still happens plenty. Issue is, most don’t know how to share it.

Finding someone who only has eyes for you is practically impossible nowadays.

Ilove him more than anything and I have endless side-eye for anyone who disagrees

i love book armand so much. everyone thinks he’s such a fuck up and can’t hack it, but he literally never stops trying and caring. despite it all he hangs out with humans and makes modern art and watches plays and has philosophical debates and rides a jet ski around fighting pirates and builds a mall for his friends to live in. he thinks he’s broken and incapable of love but he tries so hard at it anyway over and over :(
