It was a part of a kickstarter and they were kind enough to offer non-pride packaging so it would be more accessible. These are lesbian roses and agender calla lillies. Even silent acts of rebellion like this feel great.

I find it increasingly difficult to put effort into convincing people I'm still a believer.

It used to be a normal and subconscious process for me. You just say what you know you're supposed to and that's the way you will always be. It was casual survival. Now, I'm outgrowing this persona. I feel more and more like an individual who can actively have their own thoughts without guilt, and then having to turn around and restrict that hurts. I spend so much of my time having to listen to their drivel and act like I agree, despite the now obvious logical fallacies and bigotry.

I don't know how much longer I can even let the mask i show my family "be molded by Jehovah".

idk i guess there’s just something terribly lonely about growing up in an environment where people love you well enough, sure, but only the parts of you they want to love. they look at you and they see something they could love, if only you were a little different - a little happier, a little straighter, a little more complacent. so they take those traits of you that they like and they treat that part of you with love and kindness, and they take the rest of you and leave it for dead, all while talking about how much good they do for you

Had to sit through a talk on blood this week. Love how they insist it's a religous descion, yet barely read any scriptures because the evidence is so weak. Instead we got 25 minutes of anecdotal evidence and irrelevant and/or misleading quotes from "scientific articles".
