i feel like how i think about and characterise lucifer in sexual scenarios it so different from most of the fandom. and that's okay, honestly it's interesting to me to see people interpret a character in different ways, but if you don't like thinking about lucifer romance or redemption arcs then this post isn't for you.

thoughts about lucifer x gender neutral-ish reader thoughts. (reader is describes as having a clit and vagina, this is post is written by a trans man)

so i'm talking about a lucifer who has lost, i think he has to lose and fail at the apocalypse in season 5, he has to be shown he can be overpowered, he has to be shown that his father's plans and prophecies can be changed and are actually just bullshit. so this is a lucifer who still failed in season 5, and gets freed from the cage like in season 11, still using nick's body.

and i like to lean into lucifer's inhuman-ness and trauma because i find that interesting and is that because i can relate to parts of him... yeah sure of course.

i see a lot of interpretations of him where he's written as having had a lot of sex, of having a lot of casual sex with you before any feelings take place, of being crass and crude and and i just... i don't think he's ever had sex. i think he's disgusted by humans and that includes the things they do with each other.

i think he has to fall for you first (poor choice of words, i know).

i think you have to be at least a little nice to him. not naive, you know what he is, who he is and what he's done, but if he's here you're at least going to talk to him, not avoid him, not yell at him every conversation. and he's never really just sat down and talked with someone in a long time.

of course he'll tease you, and he'll try and push your buttons and make you hate him, people are supposed to hate him, you're supposed to hate him, why don't you hate him?

and he hates that he likes spending time with you. he doesn't want to need or want anyone, but of course he craves it. that desire to rule and be worshipped is just his desire to be loved, a craving for what he once had but was ripped from him.

you find yourself enjoying spending time with him, teasing him back, even standing up for him when he does actually keep his word. and it surprises him.

you tell him he can be anything he wants, that he doesn't have to be defined by his past and certainly not what his father says he is. screw the idea of fate and destiny. who are you lucifer? who do you want to be? and he doesn't really know anymore. he doesn't really want to end the world, hasn't for a while now. but he doesn't know what else he could be if he casts aside all the labels he's gained.

he couldn't ever make the first move, if he realises he loves you. and he could love you. you're so warm and full of light, everything that he used to be but isn't anymore. but his grace sings for you. you make him feel like he actually could change, that it could be worth it to change.

and he wouldn't be good on dates. he wouldn't buy you gifts, wouldn't know what a human would want anyway. it's not easy to have him be in public, he's too agitated, too ready to be snarky to anyone walking past, too ready to complain about everything. but let him? be patient with him, let him complain, join in with him, ask him his opinions on things, let him figure out how to be himself and show him he's not gonna put you off.

you would have to make the first move. and if you told him you loved him, he would panic. perhaps even teleport straight out of there. but he'd come back. you deserve that at least. and you'd tell him again. you'd let yourself be alone with him. give some trust to him, let him have you.

he'd be so touch starved. even in this stupid human body, he would shiver if you touched him. ask if he can touch you, if you'd let him, ever checking for your consent. and all those stupid human activities he never understood the want for, he craves them now.

he love kissing you, could get addicted too it, how you gasp and cling to him. sadly he normally forgets you also need to breathe. the first time he realises he can slide his tongue into your mouth and the sound you make is going to stay with him. he's going to replay that in his mind. or even better, he'll figure out how to get you to make that sound again.

he doesn't take sex lightly. he wants to make you feel good. he wants to learn what you like, where your most sensitive spots are, and prod them until you see stars. he's not experienced, but a fast learner, and more than willing to try out whatever ideas of kinks you have. he's actually excited at the idea of learning more about you, getting to do more things with you. for all his lack of experience, he's smug, he knows when he's made you feel good.

he's so good with his mouth. eating you out like he's worshipping you. lapping at your clit, forked tongue twisted around it, almost as if it's trying to jerk you off.

he warps them around you like a cocoon the first time you have sex with his wings out, wants to keep you safe in them, not let anyone or anything hurt you. (he's always worried that he'll be the one to hurt you, even though he never wants too). if you tell him you love him during sex, if you intertwine your fingers with his, it makes him come faster and harder but he'll never tell you that.

with more experience, and the power of searching the internet, comes more adventurous encounters. he learns what he likes. and what he likes is: overstimulating you, making you come over and over again, he just wants to make you feel good, won't like let him make you feel good? especially overstimulating you with his mouth. his ego is still always there, tell him no one else could please him like you, no one could ever make you feel this good, praise him, call him beautiful, tell him he's good, tell him he fills you so well, that he fits perfectly inside you, call him your king or god and he might just come on the spot. honestly just say his name, or moan it, and that does a lot to him. love being deep inside you, legs over his shoulders, or pressing you deep into the bed from behind. he'd enjoying tying you up, the trust that comes with that, letting him touch you and use you (same goes for if you tell him you want him too fuck you in your sleep or fall asleep with him inside you). perhaps being slightly risky, having you in the bunker while others are around, teasing you that you have to keep quiet otherwise you'll be heard, 'so needy for me, couldn't even wait until everyone was gone to have me'. surprisingly, likes it when you mark him. he's as much yours as you are his, it makes him reassured that he's wanted.

but i'm just a soft boy who likes the idea of someone who's been hurt learning to let people love them and be able to love others idk maybe you think this is all super out of character for him and that's okay. it's all just my opinions and headcannons on a fictional character.

They all wanted the same thing, and were all incapable of being kind enough to flinch first and end their misery.

It starts with Gabriel. Lucifer runs into their wayward brother first, and instead of playing tough in a losing battle and then running away with his tail between his legs, Gabriel barrels toward Lucifer’s embrace to say hello after an eternity of them both being isolated from their family.

They find Raphael hand in hand with one another, their brother stationed to watch the Earth and god it’s so lonely down there and Raphael craves paradise and his family so bad that when he sees the two of them have not only reconciled but are coming to him open minded to simply stop all this and be that sure does feel a lot like paradise come true.

All three of them would have then met Michael on the battle field, and he wanted to say yes to Lucifer so badly when it was just the two of them alone, and now he’s got to stare down all three of his siblings who just want to stop. It would stop, Michael would walk off the board with them, they’d find paradise.

But no one was willing to flinch first, to give the devil a chance to plead his case.

I really think we as Folks Who Make Things and Folks Who Like Art Writing Poetry Music Comics Other Things need to explore zines. And I mean ZINES. Nothing glossy. Nothing fancy.

Very. Cheap. Zines.

I've been threatening mentioning I was going to create a guide on how I'm going to approach this -- and I'm going to -- but I am also realizing in the writing I Do Things Highfalutin because I am who I am + had a career in graphic design.

Let's talk about how you can make a zine very cheaply and very pretty.

STEP ONE: SUPPLIES

Very bright paper. I like "Astrobrights" because they are absurdly bright. Here is a link in a store I like. I buy a lot of paper and envelopes from them. You can generally find Astrobrights in big box office stores. It prints on laser printers and ink jet and photocopiers.

Very bright envelopes. What's that? Astrobrights has envelopes?! AM I SOLVING PROBLEMS let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Letter paper is 8.5" x 11" and is the most common size in the united states (overseas folk will have to use this advice with a grain o'sea salt and search yer own waters).

A9 envelopes are a letter sheet folded in half.

A2 envelopes are a letter sheet folded in half, then folded in half.

#10 envelopes are your common long envelopes, letter paper folded in thirds.

Pick the size you like.

If you want to get big and fancy, Tabloid is 17" x 11" -- so double a letter sheet. This gets tricky to work with but is neat in sizing.

STEP TWO: ZINE CONTENT

Do you know how to use InDesign or similar program? Use that.

No? Use Google Docs or Word or whatever other program and ramble.

Want something special? Write out some or part with a sharpee or pen.

Mix and match both.

If you are feeling fancy, design it like a booklet -- mock up a sheet of blank paper as if it were a brochure. If not, just design it straight up and down like a letter. There are no zine laws.

STEP THREE: ZINE PRINTING

Print at home on your home printer.

Don't have a printer at home? Print it at work (don't get fired)

Can't? Your local library may be able to help.

You need 1 copy on white paper.

FedEx Office has photocopiers. Your local library may too. Or your job.

Print 1 copy of your zine on white paper and then photocopy the rest onto colorful paper (or white paper, it be yer zine seadog).

Or print everything on the color paper if you have access to free printing, that's fine too.

The photocopy setup is purely "printing tends to cost more than photocopying."

If you want to slash prices, print 2 per sheet and have FedEx office cut them for you, this will cost $1 - $5 depending on how many sheets you are dealing with. This is for when you're doing a LOT of zines at once.

Or use their manual paper cutter yourself for free.

STEP FOUR: ZINE STAPLING

"Long reach stapler" is what I recommend. There are a few varieties. They tend to be $20 - $30.

Or just use 1 sheet!

STEP FOUR: ZINE POSTAGE

A single first class stamp for 1-2 pages. If you get up to 3+, go to the post office and ask them to weigh a comp you have assembled.

This is a guideline.

It's a really good idea to check at least once how much your zine weighs just in general. Post offices have scales. And are pretty. And have stamps.

STEP FIVE: ZINE MAILING

This is actually the most difficult part. Label printers exist with various costs -- if you're starting out? Go with printable labels.

Your office supply shop will have them and they'll have templates you can drop in the customer addresses.

Save yourself time by using this label as the thing that seals the envelope -- don't lick envelopes.

A key tenet to staying in business is constantly reviewing physical (and mental) labor and stressors and reducing them as much as possible.

Return address labels are intensely cheap in literally every online printer, google "return address labels." Make sure you have this because at least a few of your shipments will come back to you.

STEP SIX: ZINE PRICING

Okay here is where we get uncomfortable because we're talkin' coins.

Prices are based on above links. You can get whatever paper you want, so this is guidelines. All numbers rounded up.

Payment processing ($0.30) + $0.05 sheet + $0.15 envelope + $0.66 first class postage = $1.16 base cost

$1.16 + 2.9% of $1.16 payment processing = $1.20

Plus taxes. I'm not getting into tax figures YOU DO THAT (just say 30% for easy math, this is not saying "your taxes are 30% or that mine are" I am saying "I am going to factor 30% for this equation to complete this guide".)

I did not include the mailing label (it will be $0.01 - $0.05 depending on how fancy and how many you buy) because you have the option to just write things and also it fits into the rounding of the above.

If you use Patreon, include your fees. Probably replace the above processing fees with your patreon processing... fees? I don't use patreon I don't know how it works.

Retail option 01: $1.50 - 1.20 = $0.80 gross - 30% = $0.09 / net / zine.

Retail option 02: $2 - 1.20 = $0.80 gross - 30% = $0.56 / net / zine.

Retail option 03: $3 - 1.20 = $1.80 gross - 30% = $1.26 / net / zine.

Should it be $1.50? Should it be $3.00? MORE? LESS?! That is for you to decide. Base it on what your zine contains, how long it takes you to write/draw/etc. it and how you want your flow to be.

STEP SEVEN: ZINE FREQUENCY

When my shop launches, it'll have a zine once a month. We are going to offer a subscription option + a "I just want 1" option.

You can do a zine monthly, or every few months, or whatever.

Keep in mind that the purpose of doing this is to break the dependency on social media marketing.

KEEP IN MIND AS AN AUDIENCE MEMBER TO A CREATOR YOU LIKE THAT THEY ARE DOING THIS TO BREAK THEIR DEPENDENCY ON SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING.

If you have a lot of energy and an audience that comes to your shop a lot? Consider doing a zine monthly.

If you do not have a lot of energy and/or your audience is tapped for cash frequently? Considering doing 1 zine per season.

Consider 2 zines a year if that works better for you!

We habe: a depressed angel who doesnt believe in god anymore. Gets angry when drunk. And has daddy issues. We have 2 codependent brothers, one is the vessel fkr Lucifer and the other fkr Micheal. One believes kn god, the otjer doesnt. One wants tk give up, the other doesnt. And both are incredibly depressed and would kill for each othed. And the surrlgate dad who lost the abilty tk move his legs, had tk kill his wkfe again. And wants to give up but doesnt cause he promised his oldest son. What is funny about this? Castiel basically. Hes incrediblt snarky, blunt and doesnt get human customs. I love him. Hes alsk mean and angry but its understandable. I mean how would you feel if you broks out of a cult to help a guy. And his response ks to give himswlf up to that same cult. Its also the only show where thwy curse out angels, god and the whoke world. And somehow live. Even thoufh Sam has died 3 tines. And Dean has dies 2 timws (not coutnint the tine loop). Irs also thw only sjow where they get to shower an archangel using sprinkles

THATS why sam winchester is lucifer’s true vessel.

it’s dean-and-lucifer hours ~

the most black-and-white winchester party line is that people are good and monsters are bad, yeah? lucifer, though, looks at human beings and sees mainly the potential for them to become demons. humanity itself is flawed, but human souls have the potential to become demonic, and so to lucifer there isn’t a huge amount of difference between a human and a demon. from this perspective, the black-and-white winchester party line makes no sense: humans aren’t a distinct category from monsters that can be categorized as morally different. “people are good and monsters are bad” would have no meaning to him.

this is another one of those things that underhandedly complicates the “monsters are bad” idea that doesn’t really go anywhere overtly but is very much there. like, imagine you’re dean, and your whole life is spent figuring out who’s a monster and who isn’t so that you can kill or save the right things. then you meet some vampires that don’t drink human blood; you find out sam has demon blood and isn’t as clear-cut human as you’d be comfortable with; you go to hell and are on the path to becoming a demon yourself, etc etc — and over the course of all this, your definitions of “human” and “monster” start to blur. and then you encounter this Thing that looks at these two separate categories you’ve built a whole life around keeping separate, and goes “this is one category. not only is the line between human and monster blurred, there’s no line at all.” 

and dean couldn’t even really deny that without contradicting himself! he is the one who repeatedly remarks that he doesn’t get people, that monsters are easy but people are just fucked up. the monster of the week episodes that turn out to be just people are some of the scariest on the show, and dean barely hesitates before treating those 100% human people like any of the non-human entities he dispatches on a regular basis. those people aren’t on their way to becoming monsters; to dean, they’re just full-on monsters, period.

so lucifer shows up and takes that idea that has been floating around for four seasons and goes all-in with it. this is the hill lucifer is willing to die on, that humans and monsters are functionally the same. 

meanwhile, lucifer fits dean’s most basic definition of a monster: he’s a non-human entity that kills people. does lucifer consider himself a monster by this point? hard to say, but whatever he thinks he is, he thinks he has the authority to make the kinds of decisions dean has been making all along about what types of beings are good and what types are bad, and to kill the ones he deems bad. 

what ends up happening here, imo, is a total deterioration of what “monster” even means. there are several definitions, and nobody can meaningfully agree on them, and according to some of them it’s possible to move from human to monster or monster to human or to be partly both or to be fully both at the same time — and it all just stops making sense. dean and lucifer are not characters who are at all equipped to learn anything from each other, but it is just interesting to look at the similarities between their perspectives and what that does to what the show is saying about monstrousness.

paradise lost satan really said “i tried to do something and i failed, and now i realize that i was always destined to fail, and i want revenge for that but i also see that my every effort to spite authority will just satisfy that authority more. so i guess i will just be as good as i possibly can be at the role that i now know i was always meant to play, in which the more i succeed, the more i’ll disgrace myself. i cannot escape. i never could have escaped. i am going to be the adversary, and i am going to destroy myself, and there is nothing i can do about it. ok. ok. let’s get started.”

exactly what i was rambling ab a few days ago on discord with my friends (i know there might be some errors and some stuff i said that may be wrong or could be phrased better but it was just a ramble between friends, nothing serious and im too lazy to rewrite it all)

I find it interesting how in Hell’s Greatest Dad Lucifer says « Who also happens to be your blood », referring to how angelic blood, his own, flows inside of Charlie’s veins.

Lucifer feels so threatened by Alastor because of his relationship with his daughter that his argument is to bring up the fact that they’re blood relatives. A lot of us know how sometimes blood doesn’t make everything and you can part ways with your family no matter what flows in your veins but he used it as an argument as of why he, Lucifer, is the actual father figure.

All he says in this song is that he’s gonna help her, he’ll be there and will give her anything, but on the other hand Alastor says, to reason, that he already helped her, he already did so much for her and was present in her hardest times. Charlie has an actual reason to eventually see Alastor as a father figure more than Lucifer during that time of her life. The only « valid » argument Lucifer has in this song is their blood bound. While Alastor has an actual bound with Charlie that he created through ups and downs and by supporting her dream from day one like he says it himself.

Also little note at how Charlie only reacts to Alastor’s words, not to her own actual father. Not even to mention the whole clip where she’s eternally awkward in Lucifer’s presence but very at ease with Alastor. Lucifer really did lose this battle but absolutely not war, I expect a lot of father-daughter bounding in s2.

my favorite ship dynamic is betrayal. not when they betray each other but when one or both of them turn against their cause, their principles and/or loved ones for the other. bonus points if the person they're abandoning everything for didn't remotely expect it. ultimate declaration of love. "you mean more to me than everything i ever believed in. i am more loyal to you than my conscience. i love you more than the thing i would die for."
