Happy birthday Varian!!! (Might be a little late whoops)
I know the animation industry has been going through a serious rough patch in the past 10 years. I just hope the medium and the artists making it can get the respect they deserve someday soon. So I wanna take a moment to spread a reminder of the powerful emotional scenes we've gotten from animation in the past 10 years.
*insert Mariah Carey doing the "it's time!" meme here*
Okay, my shitty graphic design skills put aside here is the official prompt list for this year's Varigo Week!!!
Day One - "Because I love you idiot!"
Day Two - Empty stomach
Day Three - Inspired by song lyrics
Day Four - "I'm just so tired"
Day Five - Bad habits
Day Six - Listening
Day Seven - Free day!
So this is just a fun, silly challenge week to celebrate our favorite Disney rejected ship with no limits or rules. EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE!
I ask- nay, I implore you to PLEASE DO NOT USE AI FOR THIS! The whole point is to show your love for these silly little gay scientists and just using a computer takes all the heart out of it. It dosnt matter if you don't think your good at creating, whatever quick doodle or cheesy fanfic is a hundred times better than whatever a computer can come up with. Please, I promise everyone will love it just don't use the fucking computer.
Anyways, yeah this doesn't really have any other rules, just to have fun. The dates are June 8th through June 14th and you don't have to make something for everyday (but that's why I post this a few months in advance to give people time to prepare) so absolutely no pressure, just do as much as you feel like doing and you can do absolutely whatever you want to participate like fanart, fanfic, cosplay, animatics or anything else you can come up with, it's free game people!
When the time comes, tag it under VarigoWeek2025! (You can tag me too if you want to but it's not necessary) and if you have any questions or want more details feel free to ask me on my blog or comment and make sure to reblog to spread the word<3!

Tw: blood?
I once fell into a hole in the side of the road and now there's a sick af scar on my leg
I also have a scar on my elbow from when I slipped in a puddle at age 7, landed on gravel and then got trampled by other kids who didn't notice me. I walked back to the classroom (this was the last day of school) with my arm bleeding and they just gave me an ice pack. I went home and found out they didn't tell my mum
Idk how to tag people sorry :/
it's so weird to me that everyone on this website is a human person outside of their weird internet niche so rb this with a random bit of your lore
I have a headcanon that her father was a mage, so after she died she would follow in her footsteps while still putting astronomy and math in the forefront because without those she wouldn't know what exactly to do with the magic. Came up with a whole magic system, maybe one day I'll post it
important question, does Nuru have magic?
I know in some fic’s she’s written as having magic but not usually till like near the end because she realises she can use it.
(just wondering because then I have some drawing ideas)
just for clarification:
disliking parts of the way rapunzel’s character was handled in the show =/= disliking her.
movie!rapunzel means a lot to me personally, and i absolutely adore some aspects of her character in the show. i think she’s loving, creative, funny, intelligent, and she tries her best to help the people around her.
if i have a critique with her in the show, it’s because i believe that isn’t how she’d behave as someone who went through the events of the movie. or maybe i look at how she acts for one episode of the show, compare it to the foundation they’ve established in an earlier episode, and find that they contrast one another. my criticisms are for the inconsistent or out-of-character writing, not for rapunzel herself. i understand she has flaws; i just wish they were addressed properly and that she didn’t always have to be in the right.
you’re welcome to reblog this if you feel the same way.

Low-key feel like Var and Hugo should be swapped in this one
do you and Varian have Starbucks/coffee orders?
I honestly dont really like Starbucks, since i drink my coffee black and bitter (like the Gods intended) and their roasts really suck and cost a bajjillion friggen dollars, @goggles-varian on the other hand? Oh boy.
His coffee order is a monstrosity of sugar. It's some wired mocha cookie crumble latte chino frappé with a billion other things that I apparently always order wrong (even though its not my fault hes practically inventing a new element with that shit) that I just call "diabetes in a cup" and the one time he gave me a sip, I recoiled and it took me hours to get the taste outta my mouth.
I prefer my coffee to be made at home (and when we do that, Hairstipe just mades creamer and sugar with a side of coffee) so yeah.
Blonde bitch out! ✨️🏳️🌈💅
sometimes you gotta write a full-on ghost story reducing the 14-year-old antagonist of the first season of that dumb tangled spin-off show to a vengeful cryptid, because that’s what everyone saw him as
and make said story told by a princess whose state of nonexistence is even more severe than the other fictional Disney princesses
while sitting around a campfire with a well-intentioned 12-year-old pyromaniac, a thief who’s going to betray them, and the exact murderous cryptid she’s unknowingly weaving her tale about.
it’s gonna be called “fear is the heart of love”, and if i ever finish it, i’m inflicting the ao3 link upon you.
do not repost my art pls
Cassandra's moonstone form, with my own version included as well. Since my version of the story takes a different approach, an outfit change seemed appropriate. Plus, a moonstone form that looks like it's on the verge of crumbling is honestly a cool visual.
reblog if you’re a writer who’s very terrible at responding to comments from your readers, but has read them all and loves and appreciates each and every single one of them very dearly
