art is that wonderful thing that makes you take out what you have inside and doing it if it's enough, for me it is because that's how I get everything.

Make art for yourself!! Art should be indulgent and fun and be the things you want to make. I think because of the big push for representation in mainstream media (which is important) people feel like their personal art now has to be there to appeal to a wide audience and give others the exact content and representation they want to see, but that’s not true at all.

If you’re not a big company controlling the media, you should never be held to that responsibility. If you represent marginalized experiences or want to tell certain stories it should be because it’s important to you, not because others demand your art be that for them (plus it’ll be more authentic and genuine that way).

The line between personal art and mainstream media unfortunately gets progressively blurred due to social media connecting everyone, but they are ultimately two different things and people should be allowed to use their personal art to explore their own or other experiences, make sense of themselves, or just have fun and be indulgent without any expectations to uphold to satisfy a larger audience.

Personal art should not exist to fill the roles that is expected of mainstream media. Your art exists for you and it’s your communication tool.

{it's been a while! Honestly I've lost some motivation for this blog because I don't really get interacted with a lot, but I still want to post things I enjoy, so that's why I'm still doing this! Also i've been a bit delayed in my life, unfortunately I'm still waiting for this event to pass, I haven't even had time to draw, which kinda sucks, but I've been trying to find the time to!

So, StoryTime!

This is Dibs first bite on Zim! But this wasn't Dib first meal, he had drank from plenty of people, only people who have committed heinous crimes, he doesn't want to feast on an innocent person. But he knows one day he won't have a choice.

So, this was that one day. He was incredibly weak, he could barely stand straight and was on the edge of fainting for the third time that day. Zim became extremely worried, the feeling frightened him a bit but Dib was first priority. It had been a month or two in since they began to date and Zim had offered himself plenty of times to sustain Dib but being that Dib is Dib, he declined everytime. He didn't want to hurt Zim.

So when Zim offered that day and Dib said no, Zim forced him to as he shoved Dibs face into his shoulder. Usually it's from the neck, but the spot didn't matter right now, and Dib couldn't fight his instincts and drank from him. He was a bit upset but did so anyway.

Zim enjoyed the bite more than he likes to admit.}
