Since kai's name has to do with both fire (Scottish I believe) and water (hawaiian) I do wonder if Ray and Maya were like "hey it's a 50/50 shot which element he gets" and then when he was very clearly fire they chose like a very distinctly water name for their second kid

all i want to do is write that one fic that takes people’s breath away and kinda lingers in the back of their minds. i want to write something that makes people want to make art and play with my versions of characters or in the universe i created. i want to be able to create worlds that feel real enough to walk into and write lines that stick with people until they forget where exactly they heard it because it lives in their bones now.

What if you have so many projects that some of them could very well never see the light of day again-

They're my children but I have too many and I can't keep up with them all h e l p

One should always have at least 2 craft projects going. That way, when one of them is messed up and misbehaving, you can switch to another, and let the first one sit there and think about what it's done.
