So true. Looking back on this series as an adult - or a not twelve year old - has made me question a lot of what happened in this series. Still love it with all my heart though. Can’t wait to properly re-read and be completely horrified!
Honestly I think that Tanith and Skulduggery’s friendship is CRIMINALLY underrated in this series. They are so unhinged.
They really said “hey why not?” And decided to illegally co-raise a teenager for YEARS together in spite of barely knowing each other. They’re both hyper-violent and get mad when they can’t punch things for long periods of time. They try and kill each other a LOT. A WHOLE LOT. And they just…don’t care the next time they see each other. These were the people that decided that it was alright to use a thirteen year old as vampire bait and to NOT come with backup.
When all the Teleporters were dying off and there was only a few left, Skulduggery fully trusted that Tanith wasn’t the one killing them while not trusting just about ANYBODY ELSE. But yeah, this bounty hunter lady he’s known for two years cannot possibly be the culprit.
When Skulduggery is yelling at Valkyrie for hanging out with a vampire after he got back from the Faceless Ones dimension, everyone else was too scared to say anything EXCEPT for Tanith, who told him to shut the fuck up.
She also saw him turn into Vile while they were all in Dimension X? And as far as we know, she HASN’T TOLD ANYONE??
There’s more as well, they are such a crazy duo. They aren’t even codependent on each other and yet keep coming back to team up with each other, even if all safety and reason would say to probably not trust the other. Why do we not talk about them more.
no but like. Norman actually wanting Peter to be his son in law is so fucking funny. Like “if I can’t swap kids I can at least have him marry into the family” kind of vibes. he’s such an asshole, he can at least be the unintentionally funny kind
norman osborn, reading a newspaper: I’m so glad you and peter have finally made it official
harry, spitting out his coffee: sorry, what?
norman: come on, no need to hide anymore, son. thanksgiving at your apartment and your special someone will be there? obviously it’s peter. you’ve been enamored with him since high school. I thought you would remain repressed, so I’m impressed you made a move.
harry:
norman: I briefly considered adopting him but this is close enough
harry, realizing this is the first time norman has ever approved of his life choices (even tho he and pete r not actually dating): right ha ha ha me and peter two love birds
norman: make sure he takes our name when you get married
Happy day of Trans Visibility!!!
ITS HER DAY!!!
I don’t have time to rewatch. I don’t have time to rewatch. I don’t have time to…
Hmmm… maybe I can fit it in somewhere. I’m already up to season three, so it wouldn’t take that long, really…
I love these two so much, especially when Rumple is actually being loving and not gaslighting and lying to her. I stand by Enchanted forest Rumbelle - the best version. Also, this dance scene warms my heart. Probably my favourite scene of them outside of their first episode together.

I agree. I love Hordak, but can accept that he did terrible things and should help rebuild what he destroyed - eg. assist with Beast Island like in canon.
What I cannot stand is when people let Catra get off scott-free because of her trauma, only to damn Hordak for the same reasons! If Hordak goes free, then of course so does Catra - that’s fair. But if Catra is immediately accepted into the rebellion with only a couple of glares, but Hordak supposedly deserves to burn in Etherian Hell, you have a case of favouritism.
I don’t even hate Catra! I can enjoy her quips and believe her to be fun. But I do draw the line at calling her a ‘girlboss’ when she exploits his disabilities while she manipulates him. While this is typical villain behaviour, no one seems to be able to critique her actions while liking her - she’s a traumatised child (unless she’s being hot, in which case she’s most certainly an adult), incapable of intentionally causing harm, no matter how gleefully she does it.
The fact that the writers take Hordak’s trauma and give it to Catra to illustrate its horrific consequences - which Catra fans will use to enable her - while condemning Hordak, is so very frustrating.
It is a bizarre way to view the show, considering how similar the two characters are.
Starting from now on, everytime someone says they can’t forgive Hordak and his background is no excuse, I will be like
“Oh so you think Catra has to suffer for her crimes too, right?”
Or even “Oh so you must want Catra to apologize for the things she said while chipped, right?”
Because I still can’t believe there are people in the fandom who completely excuse Catra’s actions but the moment Hordak does the same thing he has to suffer and doesn’t deserve redemption.
in this essay, i will explain why queer people are obsessed with goth couples that are infatuated with each other & how they are the standard
I think it's way too skipped over that Mr. Compress had decided to also kidnap Tokoyami because he witnessed how powerful Tokoyami is. Bro really was gonna bring an extra child to join the club.
I’ve reblogged the Black butler characters, and now I reblog the Gotham characters - do you see that I am easily amused?
No joke, these are so accurate.
It’s nice to see some of the smaller, season 1 era characters, like Gertrude - I often get caught up in the season 4-5 section, especially with the whole Jerome and Jeremiah thing. Am currently rewatching season 2 on TV (because it’s airing on TV for some reason), and I forget how much I love this show!
silly thingy for pride month hehe :3
[muttering feverishly] I need to chase that man around my gothic manor in a silk nightgown
Am I reblogging all of these so that I have them saved somewhere in order to print them out and put them on my wall? Maybe
