Here’s a bit info about our process: After sketching, Jonathan inks line art and shading over a non photo blue copy of the sketch. Then I split the image digitally into separate layers in photoshop and illustrator.

This started out as a simple drawing of X-Key with permanent markers. Then I decided to color it ...then one of the members of the team looked at it and told me "You should add a background." Short version; I ended up spending a lot more time with this pic then I planned, but it was a fun distraction. Sharpie and pencil, colored in photoshop.
