This damn football bs won't leave my mind
Got soooo many 17776 things that i'm thinking about. Finally drew Louise's wife, Anne. She's a QB from Asheville, NC. They met while playing for Washington and have been married for 3600+ years (as of 20020).
P.S.: I'm working on a website for all my 17776 lore and art stuff. Gonna release it as soon as i'm done!
Lore details about some games below the cut cause it's kinda beefy
About the Arcade League:
It's a league i created that focuses on National Park Games as well as fast-paced exciting events. Very nature centered. In the lore, it was thought up by Louise after watching her wife compete in the 17850 Smoky Bowl (see my other post for the flyer). More info about this will be on the website!
On the new games!
Mammoth Cave NP Game idea suggested by @cloudyishdays! I kinda went crazy about this concept and so at the moment i'm writing a rule book for the game. In its current iteration it's a two-team (Bass vs Cardinals) possession game (sort of like Halo's oddball). I'm still sorting out a couple of rules. The full edition will be on the website i'm working on.
Both Louise and Anne compete for the Bass in the MCG!
Joshua Tree NP game idea suggested by @satell1ght! I was so excited when i saw the suggestion in the tags since one of my favorite musical artists got illegally partially cremated there (gram parsons!!!!!!!!). Did some research and the date of the start of the Joshua Tree Game is August 10, 19360! over 17,000 years to the day of JTNP's creation on Aug 10th, 1936.
On my next idea:
I'm thinking about a football game on Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. The game would initially be on the Pontchartrain Causeway bridge but when the ball inevitably goes out of bounds it would commence a second game on the actual lake (which will involve speedboats)..
Sooo that's my yap for today.... more coming
stop drawing for others. don't draw for yourself either. play video games
finished the aforementioned niche artwork just now - 17776, what football will look like in the future
human JUICE headcanons including:
aviators (because he's just all that), scruff and long hair (pretty old, and he's all that), and muuuultiple layers of clothing (jupiter ICY MOONS explorer). just a big guy in general with fittingly square/bulky proportions
that's actually so cool
do you think in the pokemon universe specific species of pokemon get like featured in tv/movies or meme'd in the same way certain dog breeds do and then for like a year everyone goes out and wants that specific species of pokemon but doesnt do proper research into taking care of them and in a few months time theres like, peoples houses burning down because lil jimmy needed to have a slugma to take really terrible instagram selfies with to caption 'slugma balls'
need to know if there are invasive pokemon

a poison type pokemon trainer I designed last year! she’s a makeup artist… in a hypothetical game she’s an NPC you run into periodically that gives you new player customization options if you beat her
i’m still trying to formulate Thoughts about 17776 but chiefly the one i keep coming back to is how it comes off, to me, especially at the last chapter, as sort of….forcefully positive? thinking of juice’s rapid-fire answers to all of nine’s questions. the way there’s no explanation, or things are only glossed over. humanity solved war? really? we developed technologies that fix any disease or injury, prevent them from happening at all, even, and they’re just everywhere? no one has to work, but money is still at least partially a thing? whole cities and states and countries are underwater, but it’s okay, they all lived and relocated and continue their cultural practices?
this sounds like criticism. it’s not intended as criticism. i find it endearing, honestly. i feel as though jon bois is telling me “shut up. shut the fuck up about realism and violence and selfishness for one second. humans are creatures of play. humans are good. this is a story where humans are fucking good, and there is fucking joy, for once, so stop asking questions.”
so, okay. i’m not questioning. i’ll live in 17776 with him. and i’ll even take an interest in football
Omg!!!!!! It’s her!!!!!!!! Not traced just heavily referenced
i need to burn him
