Pairing: Poe Dameron x reader (female pronouns)

Summary: When you are captured by the First Order, Poe is out of his mind worrying about you as he knows he has hardly any time to rescue you before it’s too late. Luckily, you share your husband’s uncanny ability to piss off distract General Hux.

Warnings: Swearing, very brief mentions of violence. This is mostly just sass.

A/N: This is inspired by the opening scene of TLJ, but doesn’t actually contain spoilers for the movie.

You groaned as you finally gained consciousness, only to find yourself strapped to some sort of metal board, propped up to keep you vertical. Steel bands kept your hands and feet still, and the largest band was uncomfortably tight across your torso.

Taking in your surroundings, you concluded that you were definitely aboard a First Order ship; if the restraints and the dark, dreary decor didn’t give it away, the pasty looking General standing a couple of metres away definitely did.

“Hey handsome,” you offered when he failed to speak. His expression somehow soured even more, to your surprise.

“I am General Hux of the First Order,” he told you, his voice cold. “You will tell me where the rebels are.”

You furrowed your brow in mock confusion. “The who?” you asked innocently. Hux scowled.

“The rebels.”

“Where are they?” you repeated, still wearing a thoughtful expression. You almost dropped your facade in favour of a grin as you noticed the jolly ginger General clenching his fists in impatience.

“Yes.”

“On a ship, I’d imagine.”

He was obviously gritting his teeth now, to your satisfaction. “Where. Is. The. Ship?”

You shrugged innocently, before grinning.

“Fucked if I know, mate.”

Poe struggled to keep up with BB-8 as the two of them sprinted towards the main hangar, the rest of Black Squadron hot on their heels. You had been captured, and there was no way they were wasting a single second in their mission to rescue you.

As Poe climbed up into the cockpit of his X-wing, his eyes landed on the holo image of you that he kept above the controls. His heart ached at the image of you smiling, not a care in the world. He could only imagine the kind of hell that the First Order was putting you through.

Hux was slowly losing the will to live.

You batted your eyelashes innocently at him as he pulled a blaster from his belt.

“This gun could kill you before you get the chance to scream,” he threatened, raising the weapon to aim at your forehead. You raised one eyebrow.

“And there was me thinking you were happy to see me.”

He ignored your comment, and stepped closer to you.

“What information do you have on the man known as Dameron?”

You felt your heart falter in fear at that question; you’d seen firsthand the First Order’s hatred of your husband, and you’d be damned if you’d let them hurt him again.

“Dameron?” you repeated, frowning slightly. “I know that name, describe him?”

“Excuse me?” Hux spluttered indignantly. You shrugged.

“Well, I know of two guys called Dameron. One is a very flexible stripper on Coruscant, the other’s a Resistance pilot with abs for days and a voice that could get you pregnant. Which one is it you’re referring to?” you added innocently.

Hux’s eyes flared with anger as he struggled to think of a dignified way to respond. You smirked subtly; you could practically hear the cogs turning under his greasy hair, and you wouldn’t be surprised to see steam coming from his ears at any moment.

“The second one,” he eventually hissed, his face going red.

“Aw that’s a shame, the first one could really help you brighten up this place. So, what do you wanna know about the Resistance’s hottest pilot?” you asked, smiling politely.

Poe held his breath as he chanced a glance round the corner and saw two armed stormtroopers guarding the door, behind which he could hear General Hux’s voice raised in anger. He couldn’t hear any sound from you, and he wasn’t yet sure if that was a good or bad sign.

“Enough bloody games!” Hux yelled, grabbing your jaw roughly and making you wince as you bit your tongue. “You may think you can ridicule me, but you cannot! I am General Armitage Hux, of the First Order!”

“With a name like that, you don’t need me to ridicule you,” you wheezed, earning a harsh slap across the face. You held your breath as you heard the faint sounds of a struggle outside the door, thanking the Maker that Hux didn’t seem to have noticed.

“You will tell me where Poe Dameron is, or I will kill you where you stand,” he growled, once again holding the blaster to your temple. You sighed in defeat, loud enough to mask the sound of the door hissing open.

“You really wanna know where he is?” you asked, putting on a falsely heartbroken tone.

“Yes, you fool!”

You smirked. “Duck.”

His face contorted in confusion. “Wha-?”

Poe’s fist flew out of nowhere, sending the General sprawling to the floor.

“You took your time,” you commented casually, as your husband set to work releasing your bonds. He chuckled.

“You’re not easy to find, sweetheart. He didn’t hurt you, did he?” he added in concern as you stepped out of your restraints, stretching your legs and wincing. You smirked.

“I think I did more damage to him.”

Poe grinned proudly. “That’s my girl.”

Taking your hand in his, he set off at a sprint through the winding corridors of the First Order ship towards where his X-wing and Black Squadron were waiting on you.

“Seriously though, what took you so long?”

“Oh shut up.”
