I'm gonna start on the other dragonets! I think I'm gonna do starflight next
Here are a few of my wings of fire beta ocs. I'll make another post abt the others.
Which one is ur fav?
You can take inspiration but please do not copy.
Do you have any Pantala tribe head cannons?
Oh yeah! I headcannon that ailkimgs have prehensile tails as dragonets before cocooning and having a semi-prehensile tail afterwards like opossums! Oh and silks I think would be much taller than hivewings and would be like constantly hunched over in “respect” for the hivewings.
And I think hivewings would have tails like insects and two fingers and one thumb on front talons and just two on back! I also think purebred/royal hivewings would have pure black eyes like insects!
Honestly for leafwings to me they are like the opposite to icewings? Like if a icewing is a caribou then leafwings are the deers of the tribes? Oooo and I love giving them diff leaf patterns! I also give them frills shaped like leaves!
Starflight is done!
I was honestly a little intimidated by him because I wasn't sure I would end up happy with the design but I ended up happy with him in the end!
(I had to edit the design after I posted it so I had to repost it, sorry it's out of order)
Here is the art for @captaindunkan who suggested I do pingu! I hope yall like him! ^^
I love experimenting with styles and rn I’m really on a streak!! ^^
I made pingu a sea/ice hybrid who was born without his forearms or talons, he is perfectly healthy and has learned to use his wings as substitute for his arms! ^^
Aaaaah the benefits of having a second set of upper limbs.
Im gonna do a lil challenge where I turn characters/ppl into Wof dragons! ^^ what do y’all think I should do first??
This is why I don’t write medival stories-_- because I know shit abt history and there is way to much for me to want to research about it beforehand -_-
when fantasy books describe the cloth of Quant Farmpeople’s clothing as “homespun” or “rough homespun”
“homespun” as opposed to what??? EVERYTHING WAS SPUN AT HOME
they didn’t have fucking spinning factories, your pseudo-medieval farmwife is lucky if she has a fucking spinning wheel, otherwise she’s spinning every single thread her family wears on a drop spindle NO ONE ELSE WAS DOING THE SPINNING unless you go out of your way to establish a certain baseline of industrialization in your fake medieval fantasy land.
and “rough”??? lol just because it’s farm clothes? bitch cloth was valuable as fuck because of the labor involved ain’t no self-respecting woman gonna waste fiber and ALL THAT FUCKING TIME spinning shitty yarn to weave into shitty cloth she’s gonna make GOOD QUALITY SHIT for her family, and considering that women were doing fiber prep/spinning/weaving for like 80% of their waking time up until very recently in world history, literally every woman has the skills necessary to produce some TERRIFYINGLY GOOD QUALITY THREADS
come to think of it i’ve never read a fantasy novel that talks about textile production at all??? like it’s even worse than the “where are all the farms” problem like where are people getting the cloth if no one’s doing the spinning and weaving??? kmart???
Silly Game Time: "If you see something, say something." Well, today I saw a squirrel, and so I'm saying that. What have you seen today?
