i thought it would be cute sharing my witchy morning routine in here, it could be a nice idea to give some inspiration to others and also to know me better since i don’t share much about me in here hehe
- first thing’s first, i get up and stretch a bit, i open my window and let some fresh air in
- then I go pet my sweet familiar and give him some treats
- i make myself some green tea and add a bit of cinnamon and honey for protection
- i normally drink my tea in my balcony to connect a bit with the nature that surrounds e, if you have a garden then you’re so lucky haha
- i check my daily activities on my bullet journal
- i do my skin care routine (all products are vegan and cruelty-free) and brush my teeth
- i put my workout clothes and jog for 15 minutes
- after that i wind down and take a long shower, i take the opportunity to charge my rose quartz with the running water. i also keep my crystals (the ones that are water resistant) next to me
- then i love to listen to some music and dance in my towel, I’d like to think that’s something Aphrodite would be proud of hehe
- after putting my clothes on, I hop into the sofa and read listening to the sounds of birds (if you have been following me for a while you already know that I’m a big bookworm)
- then I take out my familiar to a park and that’s basically it!
thank you for reading this far, i love all of my followers so much (◕‿◕✿)
note: i don’t go to school for medical reasons until september :( i’d like to do a post about it someday x

I know a lot of baby witches have trouble with finding where to start out so I complied a list of good resources for the absolute beginner witch!! Hope this helps ❤️🌿

Witch terms pt.2
Witchcraft symbols

Herb master post
(smudging is a term from Native American that is not an open practice, smoke cleansing is called Smoke Cleansing, smudging is closed as well as white sage and san palo, important Native American herbs)
I would definitely look into what are closed practices, as to avoid any cultural appropriation as many things like ‘honey jars’ or hoodoo powders are actually from closed or semi closed practices. It is important to know where these come from and it’s cultures as to avoid closed practices appropriation and to use some things like Nazar or chakras to know the significance and actual history and if you can work with them or not. Especially with spells or Deities or anything new.
Some closed practices info (not all of the closed practices in the world)

Protection magick
Protection magick pt2
I would wait to do spells until you have all your information and research and do protection spells for your first spells. Also I wouldn’t do blood magick, as it is very powerful and can have major consequences if you don’t know what your doing, and spirit work or any work with deities.

I would definitely also look into some history of witchcraft and paganism (not just Wicca to the 1960’s history, but of the growth of witchcraft in the Renaissance era as well as traditional magic with the Greeks, to Celtic etc, as the impacts of those occultists, as some are very problematic like Crowley), as well as the impacts of other cultures and practices like Hinduism, Native American, Jewish Mysticism etc on modern western spirituality and giving that homage back to those cultures e.g chakras, yoga, spirit animals (closed practice), smudging, dream catchers, Kabbalah etc

i don’t have access to most witch resources (herbs, crystals, divination tools, etc) so i often opt to incorporate simple witchcraft on my daily routines:
chanting a spell as i take a shower to cleanse my body and re-establish a layer of protection (great for witches who associate with water)
use spells to help my skin be clear and healthy as i do my skincare routine
draw sigils on foggy surfaces (eg. mirrors after a hot shower)
pour good intentions into my cooking (health, prosperity, etc for those who eat it)
enchant my drinks so they can help cleanse my body from the inside
get permission to eat edible offerings to impart the energy, strength, and wisdom of my deities/guardians/etc
use part salt water when i mop the floor to cleanse my space regularly
enchant my money so that when they’re with me, they keep my finances prosperous and when i use them they’ll help me earn more in the future (you can also enchant them so nobody can use them for “bad” purposes, curse those who steal it, etc the possibility is endless)
enchant and charge my detergent so when i wash my clothes, any energy that negatively impact me that stuck to them will be neutralized
use glamour spells when i put on my make up
cleanse my living space using smoke from incenses (usually ones i’ve offered to my patron deity, after getting their permission) and establish a layer of invisibility protection
use novels and textbooks i have for bibliomancy
basically enchant everything and anything cause there are no limits to this!
This part is separated into “deity categories” where I will only be listing the deities in each category because they may overlap and I unfortunately don’t have the time to go through every single deity, if any interest you by name feel free to look them up, but the categories should be helpful if you want to find a deity in a specific category, there are 15 deity categories from the website I used and I want to make sure my sources are good, so any feedback with corrections or additions you think I should add to it are greatly appreciated, especially since not every culture is represented in every category :)

Candle magic is one of my favorite type of ritual, because it is relatively simple to setup, and non-expensive. You just need a candle, and fire to light it up. If you want the spell to be even more powerful, feel free to carve symbols or sigils on the candle before lighting it. Then sit down, observe the flame, and think about a question that is worrying you.
–
⚪ White candles: healing, purification, innocence, meditation, peace
⚫ Black candles: strength, negative energies, resilience, self-control
🟤 Brown candles: intuition, animal protection, stability, decisions
🟣 Purple candles: ambition, power, focus, concentration, inspiration
🔵 Blue candles: happiness, calm, laughter, relaxation, harmony, water
🟢 Green candles: luck, love, fertility, birth, health, success, earth
🟡 Yellow candles: imagination, divination, intelligence, energy, air
🟠 Orange candles: authority, changes, control, support, versatility
🔴 Red candles: love, brave, blood, passion, death, sex, fire
–
🔥 Candle will not light: the question cannot be answered anymore, because things are already in movement, you cannot turn back now.
🔥 Strong, stable flame: the answer to your question is “yes”.
🔥 Weak, small flame: the answer to your question is “no”.
🔥 Dancing flame: there is chaotic, undisciplined energy present. You need to focus and meditate before taking any decision at the moment.
🔥 Crackling flame: spirits might be present in the room, and they would like to speak to you. Be open to their message.
🔥 A lot of smoke is coming out: the universe is helping you cleanse yourself and your room, leaving space for new opportunities and energies.
🔥 Candle will not go out: the spirits are telling you that the ritual is not over. Ask yourself if your question was the right one, or if there is anything that needs to be further discussed.
