Last boss seems like the kinda guy to be obsessed with smoking meat. Dude probably spends his time either gathering meat and wood and seeing how different wood affect the taste and shit.
Sometimes I guess he hands them out for others to taste. And so I propose: kuina and last boss bonding over meat and sometimes they invite Arisus and chishiya to taste it but both have the taste pallets of a Labrador. That is to say they couldn’t give a crap if it’s the most fine dining food ever made or actual crap, they will wolf it down in 10 seconds flat
Usagi painting stars across Arisus cheeks, some bigger than others, becuse he wants to remember all those that died in games with him and wants them on his skin (but tattoos hurrrrrrt and low-key probs arnt great to get in borderland) so paintitn them on in white face paint is what he has to do.
Just her softly holding his chin in one hand as she slowly angles his head to the side to get a better view. Chewing on her lip slightly as she concentrates on getting the lines right. The well used brush like ticking Arisus nose because yall have you ever been face painted??? Fucjing tickle hell.
Arisu: honestly sucking toes just isn't fun. Unless its your own obviously Chishiya: not in normal circumstances no Usagi: yeah guys suck some other body part instead Arisu: like the ankle? Chishiya: no idiot the di-
Arisu is the type of lover who goes through the motions of being overly clingy and then almost not clingy enough. He’d go from spoiling his lover, texting and msging them any second he can, making playlists and writing fanfics of his lovers Favorite couples ( not that either are very good). then randomly he’d start pulling away, the play lists would stop, the writing would run dry and the gifts would stop ( not his choice, money is hard to get). he still texts everyday but the goodnight texts fade as his sleeping schedule falls into a whack thing. And he knows it happens, he's sobbed to himself on the kitchen floor enough to know it happens. He’s been broken up with and broken up with people over it for not being a good enough lover. and yet he just cant stop because it comes and goes with the seasons, an unchangeable force of nature .
Arisu: so uhh apparently asking your boyfriend to watch porn with you, create an excel sheet to collect data on things we liked about the videos and things we didn't, finally work out what creates the perfect video in our eyes and then film it isn't a good date? News to me. Arisu:anyway I'm now single someone bring me chocolate and a big hug
Who needs dating when you can cuddle your friends and listen to fall out boy
Arisu: I mean really this might be the most magnificent porn I have ever seen. I mean the audio quality? fantastic, the angles so you can see the hands move ever the tinesr amount? superb. And damn the moves themselves are getting me all riled up Karube: Arisu...your watching a game of chess.
Chouta: what the fuck is wrong with you Arisu
I like to believe that the stars in borderland are diffrent to the normal world. Like yeah the most obvious difference is all the people gone, but if you look close enough the stars are different to. Kinda creapy considering there’s always one constant in life for me and that’s the stars (even if they change you know next year you’ll see the same stars in the same position).
But it also means that contestants can create their own story’s and constellations. And this time it will be personal story’s. And so Arisus like lays on the pool chairs with a usagi one day at the beach and stare up at the sky. Slowly talking and joking about what they see. And Arisus finding two shapes that vaguely relate to karube and chouta so he starts telling her about a random thing they did together back in the normal world.
And then he like cries or whatever and she holds him becuse she’s really kind to him and he’s a big baby and yeah. Or maybe I’m the one crying but either way someone is crying
You know I do think it's interesting how strongly Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) makes the point that bringing someone back from the dead is inherently selfish.
I've seen it elsewhere but not nearly as unequivocally and plainly put. First, we have Majhal in episode 4 - an alchemist so obsessed with bringing back his dead love, he completely fails to notice that she survived and returned to him. And even once the truth is revealed... he rejects her, since she's not the ~perfect girl~ from his memories, but an old woman - an actual person, with an actual life.
And if you missed it there, we then meet Tucker, so obsessed with keeping his lifestyle and success as a State Alchemist he does, you know, that. And then he goes on to become obsessed with bringing her back - but not her, not really, as he straight-up tells Ed in the 5th laboratory - he wants the girl from his memories, the perfect, unchanging doll.
Both times, we see that those obsessed with bringing someone back from the dead aren't interested in bringing back a person, with thoughts and feelings and their own independent life to live - no, they want their idea of that person, the glowing angel who could never change, never grow, and never go wrong. And that also goes for Ed and Izumi too - Ed was so obsessed with bringing his mother back that he ignored Pinako, ignored the family that took him in, and selfishly put his brother's life at risk... for which he paid the price. Izumi lost her ability to have future children, any of them, stuck on a dream on the child she could have had. Both didn't want that mother/child - they wanted their loved ones, the ones they dreamed of, not the ones that were actually there.
Most times resurrection is brought up in media, it's with the lesson that "oh, the cost is too high", "oh, you're disturbing their rest", "oh, they don't come back right." It's rare to see it put so clearly, so obviously, so horrifically that actually, no, even the fact that you attempt it - even the fact that you want to - is an inherently selfish act, that turns your back on life and the living to chase a dream that may not have ever existed.
It's an interesting take on the whole idea, of death and life and memory and obsession. For all that 2003 dropped the ball on the ending, I do love the development they gave to the characters!
I mean they do go on a museum trip in touchstone of ra!
Touchstone of ra? More like touchstone of nah. My life is very happily existing it’s it little bubble where tor never even happened 😄😄
Assigning characters to ways my friends have responded to me asked “how would you dispose of a body” except they probably wont work and the characters know it. oh and I only have 5 friends Arisu: if you had to hide a body how would you do it Chishiya: chop it up and put it in a stew, use as fertilizer Chishiya : also paint the cheek bones for an art project Arisu: love that anything else Chishiya: put the intestines and other weird thingies with bags of old fish, throw it in your next for neighbours pool when their out ~ Arisu: how would you dispose of a body Usagi: probably acid Arisu: Interesting...any specific acid or.. Usagi: boric? Arisu: how would you dispose of a body tatta: find a fresh grave and burry it there Tatta: people would suspect it but I think its fun all the same. Maybe switch out the body's before hand instead Arisu: how would you dispose of a body Kuina: either burn it and say it’s a family members ashes to spread across the sea or plant it under a state flower since they wouldn’t be able to dig it up Arisu: how would dispose of a body Karube: what have you done Arisu: nothing just how would you do it? Shibuki : Probs in water Chouta: But you have to cut the organs first so they don’t fill w air Arisu: surprised you didn't say acid Karube: Acids dont break down organic material very well anyways Arisu: oh Arisu: how would you dispose of a dead body Niragi: in ya tum tum Arisu: of course what else did I expect
