Question for lord Dionysus!! How’s the wife? :]
Ariadne beloved…
He spends the rest of the time musing about her.
I hate overthinking
Someone pointed out a flaw and now I can't unsee it so I no longer want to draw and finish the reference for Poseidon. I don't know why do I care so much about people's opinions and I hate that I do because this shit happens.
Dang it, why is Max asleep when I need him
So after pondering for a bit how can I make my kelpie more original than "a little bit of every Poseidon" (because that feels like I'm stealing) I decided: "to hell with it". So now to make him a bit more distinct I'm adding one of my favorite things in character design: a hair fade.
I wanted to make him have color changing hair but after seeing Messy-Moon already use that idea I sat in my chair to really think about it. So I came up with making my Poseidon blonde with a fade to light blue, to make it kinda look like calm water fading into the beach sand if you know what I mean???
Anyways I'm cooking a digital design-
Finally made a Dionysus design! Explanations below the cut
In some myths Dionysus spends some time in India / Egypt, so I drew his outfit to be an antariya from the Vedic age (1500 BCE), which was around the time the Odyssey takes place (Mycenaean Era - 1600 - 1100 BCE)
His hair was inspired by a lion’s mane, and the long braid acts like a tail - so it sways and flicks based on his mood. He also has ears hidden somewhere in that fluffy mane LMAO
I gave him horns because two of his sacred animals are bulls and goats :)
He has rosettes patterned on his shoulders, face and back, though it tapers off near his hips. Leopards are one of his sacred animals too!
He has bangles from the Vedic age as well as beads and jewelry from the Mycenaean era. The serpent armband is also because it is a sacred animal to him too.
I made the beads colored in reference to the transgender flag because he’s a queer icon!!!
The belly piercing and grapes were just because of the parasites telling me to do so
If you have any other questions my ask box is open 👀
Hebe Anon again! :)
Hebe is a daughter of Zeus and Hera, does youth and stuff. Personally she's one of my favourites even though she's a minor deity.
Copypasted from Google: Hebe is a daughter of Zeus and Hera, and the divine wife of Heracles (Roman equivalent: Hercules). She had influence over eternal youth and the ability to restore youth to mortals, a power that appears exclusive to her, as in Ovid's Metamorphoses, some gods lament the aging of their favoured mortals.
Been procrastinating this for a while but I love how it came out
She's a coquette girl. Yes she looks young yes she is childish but she is a woman. And I hc that she had a crush on heracles first
pls if there's a myth detailing how they got together PLS TELL ME ABOUT IT I WANNA KNOW EVERYTHING
Peek A Boo! I plan on doing a whole series of Famtheon comics addressing the lives, relationships, and pasts of my designs for the greek gods. So keep your eyes peeled for more in the near future!
