If I may pull some last nonsense because It's 3 in the morning and I am feeling very yappy, Night is very "Captain Ahab from Money dick" coded. Chasing down something vast and in her obsession sealing her own downfall.
It is very funny to think about the Starclan cats remaining just going "We are doomed, we have lost it all, our hubris shall now be eternally damne-" sees the ball of issues that is currently running the dark forest and having a breakdown "Oh.... Well, maybe we won't be that doomed after all."

i'd agree that sounds very Night, the main idea (?) behind her character for me is self-destruction/downfall as a result of the cycle of destruction/violence etc, like i use a snake a lot in her art because that originated from ouroboros imagery lol.
and honestly that is pretty much exactly how it goes.. T_T so sad. rip dark forest.

Instagram - Most Popularity (19k followers! A page with 800 comments! Flocks of excited kitty-cat-book readers! But for all its success, Instagram is one buggy platform. And it sure ain't friendly to artists!)
DeviantArt - Most Discourse (Boy, do deviants love to argue! Never before have I seen arguments that made me more uncomfortable. Yet the sweetness of other commenters compels me to stay!)
Webtoons - Most... Uh... There (Why did people keep asking me to upload my comics on Webtoons? What kind of audience is there for a Warrior cats fan comic? Why do I only update every 5 months when I remember it exists? I'll never know!)
Tumblr - Most Unhinged (I couldn't have guessed that some silly side project would result in such wild theorizing! Or such crazy dedication! It's really something special. Let's hope they don't cool down anytime soon!)
ComicFury - Most Functional (Though the readership might be small, this is one smooth website! Great for uploading, reading, binging... what can't ComicFury do? Just make sure you know what you're clicking on!)

looking through old story notes is funny because I forgot alpenglow used to have a happy ending
yknow on the topic of the pmv im making, I don’t think finch ever tells night what she did to get banished to the dark forest. she might have personally accepted it, but how could she admit that to night? what could she possibly say? the whole reason she did something horrible was in support of night, who in her eyes doesn't deserve to be in literal hell. what night's doing is good, right and selfless.
whereas finch? she's doing the exact opposite. she's just a monster fighting for liberation that she doesn't even deserve.
