i love them i can’t 😭😭😭
people should understand the absolute joy in just wondering about whatever the fuck In-ho and Jun-ho could do because they are siblings. Like In-ho could've one day just thought of dropkicking his younger brother who's entering his teenage rebellion years and told In-ho he looked like a grandfather even in his mid thirties. There might have been a time where they were tickling each other and laughing and In-ho stopped because he realised he's a grown ass man and Jun-ho made fun of him for it which got him a smack on the head. In-ho could've accidentally thrown out Jun-ho's favourite pair of shoes and Jun-ho nearly pulls out his brother's hair as he's complaining about what a terrible older brother In-ho is for doing that and In-ho lets him. They would have the "no don't cry you can hit me back just don't tell eomma" moments

It's certainly interesting to think about the fact that Gi-Hun and Sang-Woo envied one another.
While it might be obvious to see why Gi-Hun would envy Sang-Woo given his credentials; Pride and joy of Ssangmun-dong, top of his class, SNU buisness graduate, valedictorian, etc. It might not be as obvious to think what Sang-Woo envy Gi-Hun for.
I think the answers relies on what society considers a "successful man"
This is usually measured by these factors: finances, career and family.
While certainly on a superficial level, Sang-Woo reach far greater than Gi-Hun in terms of career and finances, Gi-Hun had a title that Sang-Woo didn't.
Husband and father.
They shared the experience of both having success in their careers and having that taken away from them, and their finances were fucked over because of it.
But, unlike Sang-Woo, Gi-Hun was a "complete" man. Even though they both "failed," Gi-Hun had a daughter that would thrive regardless of the bad decisions he made. His legacy would live regardless if he had a career or not.
Sang-Woo only had himself and his achievements, and he lost everything.
Even though he seems quite disinterested with the idea of having a girlfriend (more than likely he is a closeted gay man) it's the fact that Gi-Hun build something everlasting, even if it didn't require any special titles. Just the will and the love.
If instead of reaching for something beyond his league as it is to become a multimillionaire, he focused on the "small and trivial" things, he might have built something of importance, something that wouldn't die along with him.
He envy the fact that Gi-Hun, with the contrasting careless attitude, could build that for himself. Could be materially more successful than he is.
i miss him 😔
Takes place in the same universe as this: (x)
Gihun is the one who suggests they get a pet.
Sangwoo refuses at first but he is immediately outvoted by Gayeong, Cheol...and his own mother!
When they go to the shelter, there is one dog who nips and pulls at the hem of Gihun's shirt. Gihun turns around and sees that it is a puppy with one leg missing.
"She chose us, Sangwoo!"
They adopt the puppy and named her "Lucky."
Lucky is immediately greeted with pets and kisses the moment they get back home.
Sangwoo initially acts indifferent toward Lucky, claiming he only agreed to adopt her to make everyone happy and he "isn't much of a pet person,” but the family catches him sneaking treats to her within the first day.
Lucky becomes particularly attached to Sangwoo’s mother and the puppy ends up following her around the house and curling up at her feet whenever she sits down.
Gihun, being the softie he is, lets Lucky sleep in his and Sangwoo's bed on the first night, much to Sangwoo’s dismay, except when he wakes up, Lucky is curled up against Sangwoo instead.
All of the beds in the penthouse have ramps attached to them so Lucky can easily get on their beds for cuddles.
Much like the kids and Sangwoo's mom, Lucky is incredibly spoiled. Both Sangwoo and Gihun buy her an absurd amount of things, including gourmet dog treats, an orthopedic bed, a custom-fitted harness for better support, a toy box overflowing with plushies, and even a personalized name tag that has her name on it.
Lucky goes to obedience school and every time the trainer mentions how good she does, they always take her out for a treat.
They make sure she gets all her shots and she is groomed whenever it's needed.
Whenever Sangwoo and Gihun need to concentrate on work, with Sangwoo on reviewing contracts for their real estate firm and Gihun on developing new recipes for their restaurant chain, Gayeong and Cheol are always happy to keep Lucky entertained.
Lucky becomes very protective of their family, especially Cheol and Gayeong, barking at anyone who gets too close to them at the park.
Sangwoo and Gihun have become that couple who put their dog in a stroller.
Lucky has an uncanny ability to sense when Sangwoo or Gihun are stressed, always nudging her head under their hands to force them to pet her.
One day, while strolling through the park with their furbaby, Sangwoo and Gihun catch the scent of dalgona. Gihun freezes as anxiety rushes over him, but Sangwoo’s touch and Lucky’s warmth help him steady himself, allowing them to continue their walk home.
Whenever it's raining and Sangwoo's too consumed by the negative feelings to even leave the bedroom, Gihun is there by his side and Lucky is curled up on Sangwoo's chest.
The family isn’t religious, but they still celebrate Christmas. So on their first Christmas with Lucky, one of the presents has her name on it too.
Gihun loves talking to Lucky as if she understands everything. He often narrate his day to her while cooking, and Sangwoo finds it incredibly adorable.
She has a habit of bringing her toys to Sangwoo’s mom who is always happy to play along.
Gayeong and Cheol always match Lucky's energy and the three are always playing together.
When one family member goes out, Lucky waits by the door until they return, wagging her tail so hard that her whole body wiggles.
Despite Lucky’s missing leg, she is the fastest thing in the house.
On their anniversary, Gihun surprises Sangwoo with a framed photo of their whole family: him, Sangwoo, the kids, Sangwoo's mom… and Lucky, front and center.

Hey hey, as a librarian, can I just say don’t pace yourself at the library. I get a lot of customers saying “oh I shouldn’t get too many books out at once” but like you should!!!! Max out your card, take everything we have on a subject you’re interested in, make a book fort in your home. We love that shit! It doesn’t matter if you read them or not; just take them for an adventure and bring them back whenever they’re due!
For public libraries, one of the ways we secure funding year to year is lending. Governments don’t want to fund more books if they’re not being used and the way we measure use is by issues. Regardless of whether you read it or not, whether you have it for a day or a month, if you issue it to your library card, we get the stats! It makes the library look good!
Help your local library; get books out even if you know you can’t read them all!
