Oh my god you're so real for that. I can see it now,,,,(the drawing is exclusive to my mind, sorry kachow)
I'm thinking of Sanses and Papyri in pretty dresses and now I'm giggling over how pretty they would all look. I think I'm gonna scroll to find them in the dresses I know they'll all slay in
Souls
Let's talk about souls. So I wanted to work on distinctions and really grasp how they're different and similar between Monsters and Humans. Below, I speak as if this is from like- a journal entry. These are all my personal headcanons really or interpretations, and I'd love commentary or your opinions on it as well!
One distinction is that the soul and the heart are different. One is physically visible to the human eye, it helps function the body and pumps blood. However, the soul rests around the heart and is practically invisible unless a Monster (and once before a human) pulls someone in for an encounter or if the soul is safe enough to decide to expose itself. Before, there used to be Mages, humans who possessed magic that was learned from the Monsters. But, as time has gone on, there have been no reports of humans being able to see their soul without the presence of a monster. Monsters, being made entirely of magic, are the only ones able to see a soul through encounters or through the consent of another. Showing a soul is very intimate, and is only ever exclusive for partners who share a very strong bond and are “mated.”
It is very important to state that Humans are the only ones with Soul Traits™ while Monsters mostly have no distinct reason why their magic is a certain color. There is suspicions that it may be due to a monster having something akin to following a soul trait, the amount of LV they have, or how their environment has influenced them. Of course, this would have to explored later on when reflecting on Undertale and all of its AU’s.
Now back to exploring Souls as a whole.
No matter if you are a human or a monster, If the body is sick, so is the soul. It's hardly ever severe, but there are ways to make the soul unhealthy at times without the body becoming sick. The differences between Monsters and Humans is that only Humans have soul traits and thus are the only ones able to make their soul sick in the way that it affects their personalities. Humans also can be physically sick without it being due to their soul, as their body is separate from their soul. If a monster is sick, they cannot alter their soul or personality, and this means that they are actually more vulnerable because their ailments are directly because of soul problems. Rarely does a monster get sick however, since they have been underground and thus have an environment that sustains them.
Every human has a little bit of every trait, but what makes one stand out is the amount of a trait being in a person's soul. At birth, a human soul is almost a milky white, much like a monster soul, but overtime colors will appear based on each child's experience. If a soul is already a full trait without other soul colors being visible, it is a rare condition and simply means that the child had this occur through a random selection of circumstances. There is no way for this soul to change unless something extreme happens, but that rarely occurs just as how full trait souls occur in children. Traits can be easily influenced within children, but it is harder to have this change into teen hood as it's normal for there to be two or three soul traits that mainly drive the teenager without excluding other traits that may be prevalent in general. When the human reaches adulthood, the most dominant trait ends up staying whether it later ends up corrupted, used in excess, or remains as it originally was. There may be evidence on the soul that can show that there is another trait that drives a human to behave a certain way, but there has not been enough study on the human soul beyond what monsters have studied and what humans have studied within restricted opportunities. After all, to expose a soul is not only a very private, intimate experience, but depending on the age and sensitivity of the patient, it can be easier to damage a soul through physical contact as the soul becomes more prone to its environment.
Now, what are the differences between too much of a trait, corruption, falling down, or going against a trait?
Too much of a trait will cause it to overflow like a liquid, often affecting the individual's personality. It's not as detrimental to the human as losing a soul trait or corrupting it, but it can lead to higher risks within the human. It is easier to reverse the effects, however, but it takes time. Depending on the soul trait, it can be harder to reverse the effects before the human may run the risks of endangering themselves. As times have changed, it is also reported to be a more rare occurrence for a soul to excessively overflow, and actually is more common for a soul to be corrupt or for a human to go against a soul trait
Going against the soul's trait will lead to discoloration of the soul until eventually, the soul will turn grey. If a soul is discolored but not grey, there is a higher chance of fixing things. But, the more discolored a soul is, an individual is more likely to be physically or mentally ill since the soul has a strong influence on a human's physical body. It is harder to heal from this, as often enough it can cause a human to be more stubborn about their ways and make it more challenging for the soul to recognize itself.
To Note: Through experience, a soul trait may be slightly discolored or brighter than usual, but it only minimally affects the human and can be repaired through other means. Both of these situations can be just as damaging as the other, but they can often lead to two options: Corruption or Falling Down
No one understands how this happens. It is when the soul starts to crack and often enough will lead to the human soul to be twisted into something else. This is the most rare ailment that will cause a human to become someone else, and change the soul permanently into what is known as the soul trait Hate. The soul starts to almost wither and crack, a black underneath that starts to almost paint the soul or chip it into a pitch black that is almost practically irreversible. Corruption leads to this soul trait and this has influenced a lot of mages when the war on Monsters caused it in the first place. It not only altered their personalities and interests, but even their magic. However, because recorded history of what happened has been lost to time, no one knows what exactly the abilities were that stemmed from Hatred. It is exclusive to Humans and thus is one of the reasons Monsters have such a fear of them, though more specific details of this sickness has blurred over the years until misinformation led to Monsters assuming that Humans in general are dangerous despite the state and conditions of their soul. Not quite Human and definitely not Monster, being corrupt has never been reported to occur in full within recent years. The only recorded time a Human was ever fully corrupt was when the War against Monsters occured. After all, Mages had magic and this is rumored to be why this was the only time Hate has ever become a Humans soul trait. Though, it is noted that Wars between Humans have been a result of political figures and civilizations being infected with the sickness that leads to the cracking of Humans within early stages of Corruption.
Falling down is not exclusive, as it can affect humans and monsters alike. Falling down is entirely when the Soul starts to lose Hope. Whether it is through a monster or a human, what happens is that the soul will start to wither or “dust.” It starts to drain HP and the strength within the body, thus making the Monster or Human more vulnerable and weaker. It is suspected that it does not affect the use of Magic within a Monster, but HP and their Hope scale will decrease. A perfect example is Undyne vs Sans. Sans has 1 HP, and even if he's strong, in the Pacifist route he comments on just giving up. This leads to me concluding that this is why he not only is the only one to dodge attacks within the game (not including fandom interpretation), but he also seems to be a more depressing character who seems to be nihilistic/apathetic. He's more vulnerable to Falling Down, unlike Undyne. She quite literally forces herself to fight because her Hope for the underground and Determination to fight drives her. So, for Monsters, it's entirely based on their experiences. For Humans, it is also based on their experiences, but their Soul Trait has a huge play on how vulnerable the are to Falling Down. Kindness, Patience, and Integrity traits are the most prone to it, while Determination, Perseverance, and Justice are less likely to experience Falling Down.
Closing Notes: With my next post, we'll explore all the souls based on their rarity, their perks, and their risks. Again, this is all personal headcanons. Thank you for reading :-)
Which one do you think is the best trope/your favorite and why?
I actually wanna know for research purposes and because I really love talking to you guys when I can, makes me feel less like a weirdo hidden in the corner of an antique store
- YN being best friends with one of the Papyri or Sanses that after they lose their home, they invite YN to stay at their place with their "cousins?"
- YN working at Grillby's or Muffet's and they meet one of the Papyri or Sanses and from there strange interactions and friendships bloom (with the end resulting in romance)
- Y/N is friends with a pair of brothers and has to confront them when they suddenly seem agitated about an "unexpected visit from their cousins"
- YN is living with their roommate and their "multiple partners" because of money issues and this leads to a slow burn where you may or may not befriend the others or something more
- Similar to the one above except you're new when moving in and maybe something changes like you being friends at first with the human or that you're working for them with or without the other human appearing
- The last flavor of the roommate trope like above EXCEPPTTT there's not another human involved so the characterization changes dramatically. (I'm looking at you There's Still Magic when it comes to Vanilla/Sans😭 love you though)
- Something else entirely where the plot may involve the same or less amount of skeletons that can follow that "anti-harem" trope but it doesn't involve roommates or at least has a creative difference that makes it unique!
The solar eclipse is happening today around 12 for me, I would like to think about how each skeleton would react in my roommate au. Might make a post later, do you guys think I should? (I'm gonna anyways because I like to self indulge and I love my cringe)
I exist to please and I exist to be cringe for free babes, thank you (I'm normal I swear)
Magic and the wonders of Flavor & Scent
Below, I have written my personal headcanons for the color, scent, and flavor for the Sanses. These are the ones I have for the x reader roommates. If you guys wanna ask for personal requests (wink wonk) then don't be afraid to ask.
I'll put it under a suggestive tag as well just in case some of you may want to avoid those. I don't outright do 18+ often, but the comfort of others is important so bam, this is a warning. Anyways, enjoy!
Vanilla: His magic is more of a light blue. It smells of frost and pine while his magic tastes of light vanilla. It's not too overpowering, especially since he doesn't use it often and he has good control of his magic
Powder: His magic is a powder blue, especially since US is more of a pastel world to me. His magic smells of spearmint while his magic tastes like blueberry and cotton candy. It has a bit of a smoother taste
Red: His magic is a dark, crisis red. It smells of burning wood while his magic tastes of cherry limeade. His magic is stronger in tastes due to his LV
Saint: His magic is a cornflower blue despite his red eyelight. His magic smells of veviter and sandalwood while his magic tastes of vanilla and apple. It has a bit of an overwhelming tastes due to his control of magic
Carmine: His magic is carmine red. His magic smells of frost and mint while his magic tastes like red raspberries. It's stronger in taste but smooth, a little overpowering
Razz: His magic is a blue-french violet. His magic smells of sugar and of something electric while his magic tastes like blackberries and dark chocolate. His magic tastes overwhelming with a smooth, strong flavor. It happens to have a tingling sensation afterwards due to the raw power he is on the brink of constantly losing
Wine: His magic is a wine red. His magic smells like pomegranate while his magic tastes like almond and wine. It is not too strong and it happens to have the smoothest in tastes since his magic is under extreme control
Dust: His magic is a slate blue violet shade. His magic smells of leather, citrus, and slightly of tobacco while his magic tastes of vanilla berry and slightly metallic. It's a bit of a tingling sensation afterwards since he has an overwhelming amount of LV. The reason for the hint of citrus is because of Pap's magic being fused with Dust's
Closing Notes: please remember that if you guys do have any asks, please specify and keep it within just x reader since I don't do any other types of shipping on my blog. Thank you for reading and please don't be shy with your asks. I prefer fluff content but the occasional suggestive themes might appear, especially if you guys have requests :-))
Any favorite foods or drinks?
My favorite drinks would have to be peach soda or monster energy drinks! Papillon, Rosa, and Mango are my favorites.
As for food? I really love Thai food and overall Asian cuisine even if that means having to look for authentic restaurants around my town :-))

Sleepover with Stretch
It had taken ages for him to get ready to come over, especially since he had to sneak out of the house. It wasn’t that he didn’t want Rus, Cash, or Coffee to join, but he knew that recently you’ve been feeling overwhelmed. You usually visit the house to see him and the others, but the other day he remembered you offering a sleepover at your house. Of course, he was about to call the others to see if they wanted to join, but he was abruptly cut off when you threw a pillow at his face. You just wanted…him. Just him. And you. Together. Alone. Hah. Hahaha. Stretch had to bury his face in the giant bumblebee plushie he got from you when you left because he couldn’t snuff out the blush on his skull when it registered that you were specifically just wanting him to come over.
The poor skeleton had to mull over and analyze why you only wanted him, but he couldn’t come up with any rational idea, especially since he had a big fat crush on you and felt too embarrassed at any idea he had. Still, he packed his bags and was able to sneak out yesterday to the convenience store for quick and easy snacks the two of you could share. He debated getting his favorite pocky, but he thought better of it the moment he thought about it for longer than two seconds. Now here he was in his bedroom, slinging his bag over his shoulder as he checked the time on his phone. Everything has gone smoothly, and he was going over each item in his mind just to make double sure of what he needed. He packed the snacks, he packed his pajamas, his toothbrush, his Nintendo for Mario Kart, and he even packed his favorite stuffed animal, the bumblebee you bought him. So far, he hasn’t forgotten anything!
Well, he couldn’t plan the intruder teleporting past his door and straight into his room. “Hey, Stretch, Powder was wonderin’ if-” Ah, yeah, that’s going to interrupt his plans. He didn’t even have time to throw his bag into his closet at a cartoonish pace, nor did he have time to teleport the moment he registered the tall and imposing figure that was Rus. His eyes darted up to meet his stare, the other skeleton’s eyes widened and his jaw parted mid-sentence.
“...”
“.....”
“.......”
“.......................uhm-”
“Are ya goin 'somewhere?”
The question was simple, but it caused Stretch to start sweating. Play stupid, idiot!! “....no…?” “...no?” Not that stupid!!! He wanted to slap himself, but it was too late. Rus carefully analyzed him from the top of his skull to the bag that was slung over his back. He could see Rus putting two and two together as he looked down at his phone where he could easily see the text messages between you and Stretch. He carefully pulled his own phone out, and Stretch just stood still as Rus took a picture. Only when Stretch heard the click did he react. Almost desperately, he reached forward and grabbed Rus by his shoulders as his phalanges dug into the thick material of his black coat. “Rus, Rus please-” “Where ya goin?”
“Rus, look- please don’t do this-” “Are ya runnin’ away?” He saw how Rus seemed to be judging his way of packing as he asked that. “What? No, I-” “A sleepover?” Rus took his phone away from Stretch’s reach as he pathetically tried to grab it from him. Only at hitting the right target did Stretch slump forward in defeat. “...Maybe,” He finally admitted, his voice turning softer as his nerves increased. Rus didn’t say anything for a moment, at least not until he said your name. “Huh?” “Is that who’re gonna go see?” He at least had the decency to ask, even if it was obvious. Stretch, like the other Papyri variants similar to him, struggled making friends. Especially ones that would have a sleepover with him. He nodded at the question, and Rus seemed to be debating on what to say next. Rus placed his phone in his pocket before sliding his hands in his jacket and looking around his room. Rus took a few steps towards his desk placed beside his bed, only to carefully grab Stretch’s camera and handing it to him.
“Okay.” “Okay? Stretch took his camera with both of his hands absentmindedly, tilting his head to the side when Rus decided to look at him again. “Yeah. Make sure to take some pictures. Ya can hang em up on yer board over there,” He raised his hand to the bulletin board Stretch put up a few months ago over his drawing desk. Stretch glanced back at him, nodding his head slowly but with uncertainty. “You're right, that sounds like a good idea!” He grinned, but he still didn’t understand why Rus was being so relaxed about this. “But…you’re not going to tell the others, are you?”
He saw the way Rus shrugged his shoulders carelessly, making a noncommittal grunt. “Nah, you’re allowed to spend time with ‘em alone, that ain’t my business.” Stretch narrowed his eyes at him, which only made Rus look away casually. Aha! He pointed at him accusingly, knowing full well that he was their tell tale sign that he wasn’t telling him the full truth. “Then why did you take a picture?” He shouted, but not too loudly. Rus grinned mischievously, his eye sockets crinkling slightly. “That was just black mail, is all…” "Blackmail?! Rus, Rus I thought you were my friend!" "I am," Rus was chuckling now, placing a hand over his mouth. Stretch was about to rant about his utter betrayal, but that glint in Rus' eyes told him what Rus wasn't sharing. "...What do you want?” Rus placed his hands up in mock defeat, smiling even bigger now as he tilted his at him and turned away towards the door. “I’ll find something ta get ya to pay me back with, don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me,” “Rus! Rus I swear to-” But it was too late. Rus teleported out of the room as quickly as he had arrived, his small nyeh-heh-heh a mocking reminder that Rus knew his secret sleepover.
Stretch grumbled under his breath, placing his hands over his face as he tried to collect his composure. Hey, at least he knows Rus won’t tell the others, right? Ugh…He doesn’t know how Rus is going to get him to do him a favor in return, but at least it wasn’t Cash that ran into him. Cash was horrible about his blackmail, that awful prune. He was friends with the both of them though, so he knew that they would both be a little bit more merciful towards him. Right? Right?? Wait, wait wait wait. Stretch straightened up, jerking his head towards the door as he set his bag down for a few moments. Rus came in here because his brother wanted to know something. “Rus-! What did Powder want to kn- Oh you know what, forget it! Powder-!!”
It looks like he's going to be a little late to the sleepover...
You drew,,,drew the cat,,, you're soooOOOOOOO-....

I didn't know what exactly to put, but I brewed something up as some x reader! If you want some more Killer don't be afraid to ask for specifics! Thank you for being my mutual and for reblogging me for stuff, you're so cool. I hope you like the gift, I haven't written something about Killer before! Enjo

“What's the matter, doll? Do you not like it?”
He was cruel, or at least was supposed to be.
You felt his hand pressing against the small of your back as he pressed his cheek against your shoulder. You said nothing, your eyes dragging away to meet his sockets. You could see the faint white outline of what was his eyelight flickering, faltering.
You didn't have time to say anything as you were pulled off your feet, resting limp in his arms as he pulled you onto his lap. His phalanges traced around your tummy, rubbing them sweetly as he tilted his head with a wavering smile. You could tell that he was nervous.
What was in your hands was a stuffed animal, small and soft. A gift, he said, that reminded him of you. You felt your eyes water slightly as your fingers pressed into the cats cheeks, your lips parting. When was the last time you have been given a gift?
“Woah, hey, are you crying?” Killer's voice dragged your attention back to him as you looked at him. You could see the smears of black on his cheekbones seem faded as he must've wiped it away to keep the cat plush clean for you. He pulled out some tissues, something he always kept, and he handed it to you.
“I didn't think you'd cry! Did I do something wrong, doll?” “No,” your voice was shaky as you accepted the tissue, only barely using it before you promptly pressed your face against his chest. You could feel the way his bones stuttered beneath the weight momentarily, caught off guard.
“I-I really like it, thank you,” Your voice wavered as you pulled the stuffed animal to your chest, clinging onto it as you tried your best to hide your embarrassment. You didn't see his expression since you were hiding your own, but you felt his hands slowly wrapping around you as you felt the tension in his bones ebb away.
You heard the chuckle he let out as he nuzzled his face into your hair and felt the small spark of magic he must've used to kiss the top of your head. One of his hands trailed up to cup your cheek, squishing the warm flesh as he coaxed you to look up at him. “Thank the stars that you do, I would've had to kiss you better if you didn't,”
You snorted slightly, feeling him lean forward as he peppered your cheeks with small kisses. You felt that your face was dipped in warmth, flush as your teary eyes remained. “Then why are you kissing me now?” “Because I still plan to kiss you, is all,” He cooed mischievously, a smirk forming.
You wanted to throw a retort back at him, to joke about how he must really like kissing you to make so many excuses. However, you felt your eyes widen when he pressed a tender kiss against the softness of your lips. It wasn't his usual type of kiss, something so tender was reserved for a skeleton like him. You softened the same way he did as he pulled away, his thumb rubbing under your eyes as he wiped away a stray tear.
“You're evil,” “Guilty as charged,”
You couldn't tell that he was more nervous than he let on, even if the signs were subtly there. He was afraid you wouldn't like the gift, but seeing you get emotional just opened his mind to more possibilities. You're too sweet for him, he wants to just spoil you until you're just as rotten as he is. Instead, he said nothing about his plans, and he remained content with being able to just hold you as he felt your weight shifting to rely on him.
He liked when you relied on him.
