every time simon cries, i cry

but genuinely- i love how they’re writing his character. that he gets overwhelmed, with stress, with grief, with everything. and they let him cry. they let him get upset. he doesn’t just bottle things up- or, well, he does, but we get to see the fallout. it makes his character feel so much more real. simon i love you

see this is what I was thinking about too. and like did he not ever take a break to go to the bathroom or get food (bc he didn’t know his body had been snatched yet) and realize oh shit there’s a bunch of ppl here I don’t know 😭😭😭

I know this is accurate but part of my mind is like “ah yes, a secret third option where everyone is happy and the ending is perfect and doesn’t hurt ☝️” like someone shake me out of it 😭😭😭

No matter what schools spirits will have a very bittersweet ending and it hurts.

Either Maddie ends up alive and she has to say goodbye to the people and afterlife she has grown to love and care about.

Or she ends up dead and she has to say goodbye to her best friend and accept she will never get to grow up or move on. She will have to watch everyone she once knew and loved slowly leave her as they go onto their futures knowing that she will never get to experience that, knowing that she’s forever stuck in a town she hates.

No matter what option the ending will be bittersweet.

Nicole: I told Simon his ears flush when he lies.

Xavier + Claire: Why?

Nicole: Look.

Simon, covering his ears: No.

They need to bring this back because it was literally one of the top best things I swear

Love that whenever Maddie and Simon are talking in season one there is at least one shot to show how Simon looks like he is talking to air, just to remind the audience how ridiculous he looks to others

I’m also obsessed with the way Simon side eyes her like pls everybody is tweaking so hard 😭😭😭
