I'm Getting The Hang Of Doing Human Drawings. I'm So Proud Of Myself.

Commissions are open and I FINALLY got around to make a price sheet! I guess the threat of starvation really pushes you to get your arse in gear :’D  Help me not die by ordering some art from me! You get some pretty swanky art of (mostly) whatever you want and I gain sustenance. Its a win win right?! Can’t afford one? WELL you would be doing me a great favor by just hitting that there reblog button so others can see! If you WOULD like to inquire or purchase something you can send me an ask, a message, reblog this saying “Yo Hex gimme some of that sweet art boi.” and we will go from there.  I start my first year of collage on the 29th (my move in date, classes actually start Oct 1) which is 3 weeks away at the moment. Those books in the comic aint lying either! As a special FX art student I will be required to take anatomy, psychology, and the fundamentals of robotics along with alot of other things.

Commissions and Unprofessional Artist Behavior

Before I get started, a quick preface:

This post doesn’t apply to all artists.

This post doesn’t apply to all customers.

This may not be your experience, but your experience is not universal.

With that out of the way, let’s get started. This is going to be a very long post, so let me just give you the abstract:

Any artist who takes commissions has an obligation to behave in a professional manner and treat their customers’ time and money with respect. Just because art is a creative endeavor that does not excuse abusive business practices, and it’s wrong to take advantage of a customers’ good will. Doing so weakens trust in artists as a whole and harms the entire artistic community, especially new artists just getting started.
