the tumblr renaissance of house md is so funny but it makes you wonder what other 8 season procedural drama where the main character uses his highly specialised skills and intelligence to solve cases no one else can whilst having a highly co-dependent relationship with his best friend that aired in the mid-2000s that we have forgotten about 🤔🤔

psych is such a good take on a modern detective bc most detectives r like grrrr 😡 I’m an uptight grumpy goose who the world has worn down 😡 I’ve seen more terrible things than u can even imagine 😡 don’t insult my intelligence with your blathering. and shawn spencer, a bisexual adhd whirlwind w daddy issues, is like ‘ew a dead body. gross! let me put on a silly disguise and flirt with the suspects. maybe do a dance. by the way it was the nanny I knew that like ten hours ago but needed to dramatize the moment for the bit’

Player A: For this campaign, I'm of playing an inquisitive rogue who regularly passes of his high perception and investigation as divination magic and helps the city guard.

DM: Ok, that sounds interesting, I like that.

Player B: I'm an alchemist artificer who has a large knowledge of potions and poisons, trying to sell his own while working with A on the side.

DM: Ok that's cool, I like that direction

Player C: I'm a gunslinger fighter who works in a high position for the city guard and is often at odds with A.

DM: Wait a minute...

Player D: I'm an oath of devotion paladin who works with C and has a bit of a soft spot for A despite having a very high regard for the law, even holding her own family to it.

DM: Hold on...

be kind to kids (yes, this includes teenagers) who identify as nonhuman, otherkin, fictionkin, therian, alterhuman, or a furry. they are living their life the way that makes sense to them. they don't deserve an "i told you so" if they grow out of identifying that way later on. they don't deserve to be asked "aren't you too old for that now?" they don't deserve to be laughed at and mocked online. children forming a wolf pack aren't hurting anyone. kids who want to meet other kids who identify as nonhuman aren't embarrassing.

kids need a sense of community no matter who they are. kids deserve the right to identify their own feelings. kids are allowed to express parts of themselves adults find "embarrassing". adults are allowed to do all of these things, too, but it's become routine for folks online to mock literal children for embarrassing behavior.

identifying as an animal isn't embarrassing; what is embarrassing is being an adult and picking on literal children. who cares, it's not hurting a singular soul. let them explore identity in ways that make sense to them. identifying as nonhuman isn't a danger to anyone else. they aren't hurting themselves. let them identify as a nonhuman and explore what that means to them. let them live their lives.
