Forever By Alekseev Is Probably One Of The Most Painful Songs I Have Ever Heard. The Dramatic And Intense

Forever by Alekseev is probably one of the most painful songs I have ever heard. The dramatic and intense music that manages to be nostalgic, heartbreaking and soothing all at the same time, his voice that changes through the song and expresses so much, the lyrics.

Let's analyse the lyrics just for a moment.

It must be something that we call love Wherever I go, I'm coming back And time cannot knock me off my track This resolution is final

PLEASE. I don't know about you but I can feel the pain etched in this beautiful declaration of love. It feels like, I will always come back and never forget you no matter what I do, I can’t escape from you. and the way he says "something that we call love" MMMM. Like, I have no idea what this feeling is but it must be love.

But there's more.

It must be something that we call love It's when you're craving to say her name And my reality seems to break Apart with her arrival

Like, guys. If this isn't the declaration of self-destructive love I don't know what it is. Her presence alone is enough to make him doubt everything he knows, it brings him into a whole knew reality molded by her. Also, the use of the verb “crave” says everything by itself: utter desperation and need.

Let’s go on, we’re in for the whole ride.

No need to worry, rain falling down It's our happiest story and there's no one around We will go for it and I know you'll be mine forever

The first line. Sang with this soft voice, it gives me a sense of resignation that is shown with the representation of rain. I feel like he’s saying don’t worry, just accept it, you can’t change this like you can’t stop the rain. “It’s our happiest story” oh my god. It can’t go better than this, it’s the best we’re gonna get. Resignation again, resignation everywhere. And we will go for it, you’ll be mine forever. Is he talking about death? For me, he is.

Windows wide open, flying so high Both of us roaming through a magnificent sky Rain keeps on falling and I know you'll be mine forever

There’s freedom in the acceptance of one’s destiny. That’s all I have to say about these lyrics.

It must be something that we call dream When all you told me, I know by heart The type of beauty I call supreme And how it's driving me crazy

This knocked me off my feet. This is the turning point of the song. He introduces a crucial word: dream. An idealized love surrounded by the madness its intensity arouses, a morbid need that suffocates reason. Again, the absolute idealization of her beauty and the terrific awe it inspires in the last two lyrics.

And we’re down to our last lyrics.

You'll always sing me something new I will always follow When I first saw you here I knew That I was blind before you

AND THIS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN AND ENBIE COLONELS IS THE ULTIMATE DECLARATION OF LOVE. I mean, singing has always been an act of love for me, a storyteller who comforts you at night with a soft voice and tales of forgotten lands. He seems a lost child who has found his sweet north star. And that last fucking line. I die. It represents such a worship that could and will redesign his entire world, such a worship that makes of her the only truth.

If you have read so far thank you for enduring me and sorry for the pain. Forewarned is forearmed. :’)

Pale Blue Dot

Pale Blue Dot

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us.

On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.

The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there –on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena.

Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light.

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

One thing I noticed is how many of Bungo Stray Dogs antagonists project their beliefs and emotions onto their opinions of others.

Mori expects backstabbing because that’s what he would do.

Fyodor expects Dazai to have the same feelings about humanity as a whole as him.

Verlaine expects anger, both from Chuuya (during the N fight) and from Rimbaud (during the self singularity scene).

Koyo thinks of Kyoka as a fellow “flower of darkness”

Fukuchi expects Jouno to want to join him.

I guess the line “Evil expects Evil of others” is a more important line in terms of analysis than I initially thought
