T Journey Journal Entry #3

Time Since Start: 5 days

Oily. I am nothing but oily. Like at this point I better be careful before the US tries to invaide me for “freedom”((: Usually if my mental health gets bad I know I can go one day without a shower and my hair and skin will feel fine. But now? I’m not sure that’s possible. There’s so much oil on my skin and face and hair that I’m sure later down the line I’ll have to shower twice a day. Not in the sense that I’m complaining by any means, I knew this was gonna happen I just didn’t know it would be the first thing to happen on T. Haven’t noticed much else besides continuing to feel more awake and all that. Although, have been waaaaay hungrier as of late, much to the detriment of the ingridient house Mamá and Mr. Tennessee have cultivated((:

Speaking of, hopefully talking about Mamá won’t be a part of every entry, but it does remind me of a comment she made at Christmas. Mamá being herself means Christmas is usually filled with more practical gifts, socks, chones, so on so forth, and one of those gifts were shampoo and conditioner. It’s a brand that works well for my hair but she threw in a comment about how my younger sister (who got the same type of shampoo/conditioner) and I had “gross oily hair”. Kinda threw me for a loop bc I’ve never heard her talk ab any of us like that. She meant it as a joke or throwaway comment but that was just, uncalled for.

Senate Democrats are trying to gut Section 230

4/18/2025

Section 230 is a law passed in the 90s that gave birth to the modern internet. Without it, the internet as we know it quite literally would not exist.

Gutting part of Section 230 is why there was a tumblr purge in 2018 which led to a domino effect of making the internet worse. This was written in SESTA/FOSTA.

Senators Dick Durbin (D) and Lindsey Graham (R) are introducing a bill that would “sunset” Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Section 230 is known as the “26 words that created the Internet.” It essentially allows websites to host users’ speech and engage in good faith moderation without being held legally liable for every post users make. Without it, platforms would have to choose between ducking lawsuits by pre-censoring "controversial" content or abandoning moderation altogether. Smaller, decentralized platforms like Bluesky, Mastodon, Signal, and Reddit would likely be tanked by lawsuits, while Big Tech companies like Meta, Google, and X would survive, solidifying their monopolies

There would be no more organizing protests like Tesla Takedown online, no more posting about abortion resources or trans healthcare, and no more independent media. With the Trump admin escalating attacks on immigrants, students, journalists, and protestors, we can’t afford to lose online organizing spaces and access to information. Tell lawmakers: hands off Section 230! (link below contains petition and more details on the law)

(I know it seems like pressuring congress doesn't work, but this is how KOSA was defeated 2 sessions in a row. IT WORKS.)

Burn your own CDs, mend your own clothes, rent all of the books and movies you can carry at the library. Feed the birds, don’t mow your lawn, grow your own food. Love openly and honestly, give yourself patience and time, feel the emotions that you want to feel. Let yourself live in the body you have without being told to change it. Be openly and unequivocally yourself, revolt against your government, challenge preconceived notions of what you should be.

PSA

This is The Adjuster (Robin Hoodie, Guy That Shot the CEO, etc.):

PSA

And this is Luigi Mangione:

PSA

And yes, they are both super cool and hot as fuck but remember, they are two different people. The Adjuster has not been found and Luigi was never involved in the shooting.

Do not talk about them as if they are the same person and do not further spread the idea that Luigi is guilty.

yesterday when working with my case manager, she went through a long checklist of my comprehensive needs to refresh our treatment plan. as a part of the questions she was asking me, she asked for various areas of my financial struggles, including if i was able to afford social activities such as hanging out with friends, going to the movies, etc. as part of my necessary purchases. the question was specifically phrased as "Do you have enough money every month to be able to afford social activities?"

this was not proposed as a "luxury". the question was not phrased as "Do you have enough money every month to afford luxuries/luxury purchases?" this was listed with the necessities like food, housing, medical needs, transportation, bills, and clothing. this made me burst into tears when i realized it was considered a necessary part of everyone's mental and well being. my case manager told me that not a singular person on this planet deserves to have to "earn" the right to socialize, interact with leisure activities, or to do things that bring you personal fulfillment. your money does not, and should not entirely go toward survival and practicality. it will ruin your mental health.

to any poor person who has ever been told that they don't "need" or "deserve" social or leisure activities or that your money "needs" to go 100% toward survival: they are straight up lying to you. it is a fundamental part of your mental health. don't fucking listen to them.

from @.mprnews on Instagram.

Not sure how many of y'all saw this, but the combined misogyny-ableism-transphobia was off the charts. I am glad that he did get his top surgery, has support, and that its pursuing it's goals to advocate for other disabled + trans people.

Imagine walking for miles beneath a merciless sun, each step a battle against exhaustion. The empty water containers in your hands feel heavier with every faltering step, but you press on through rubble-strewn streets, driven by the desperate need to find clean water for your family.

Your vision blurs, dark spots dancing at the edges, and your heart pounds with the effort to stay upright. The heat is suffocating, your limbs tremble with fatigue, but you force yourself forward, refusing to give in. Then, without warning, your strength gives out. Your legs buckle, and you collapse onto the burning earth, dust rising around you as darkness claims your senses.

For most in Gaza, each day is a battle for survival—but for fifteen year old Ahmed Aldani, who is chronically ill, the struggle is far more severe. His body is being pushed to its limits by the relentless strain of hunger, pain, and exhaustion. He needs urgent medical care and a chance to escape the nightmare that has become his everyday life.

Every task, no matter how small, has become a struggle for survival. Just a few weeks ago, Ahmed collapsed while walking 3 kilometers (almost 2 miles) to fill water—his body having difficulty sustaining the effort, in desperate need of medical care that, without financial help, is out of reach for Ahmed and his family.

Born amidst conflict, Ahmed has spent all fifteen years of his life enduring the effects of war. The development of his teeth and hair were negatively impacted by toxic gas his mother inhaled during a phosphorus attack while pregnant with him in 2008. The recommended treatment—dental implants—is far beyond his family’s means, with each tooth costing around $1,000. But without treatment, the pain and exhaustion will only worsen.

Ahmed’s family has been displaced more than seven times in the past ten months, their savings drained just to stay alive. They now live in the southern part of Gaza, jobless and with no access to proper medical care.

This GoFundMe is a lifeline, both for Ahmed’s survival and for his family’s chance to escape Gaza and access the medical treatment he so desperately needs. The goal is to raise $50,000 to cover travel expenses, medical care, and a chance for Ahmed to finally rest, heal, and grow up without pain overshadowing every moment.

Ahmed needs your help—now more than ever. Even the smallest donation can help bring him closer to the care he needs to reclaim his health and his future.

You can donate to Ahmed's GoFundMe campaign [HERE].

Ahmed's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters, and is (#198) on their list of verified campaigns.
