Rules of a Happy, Healthy Fandom

Rule 1, Don’t like, Don’t read

Pretty simple and straight forward. It doesn’t matter if it’s tagged as a ship you dislike or you’re 10 chapters in, if you don’t like it or it disturbs you too much, stop. The back button is your friend.

Rule 2, Properly Tag

If your fic contains anything possibly triggering or squicky, tag it. If your fic is an AU, tag it. If your fic is about a ship, tag it. Vice versa, do not overtag or improperly tag. If your fic is based around Stucky, don’t tag Stony.

Rule 3, Filters are your friend

If the app or website has an option to filter tags, use it. If you need to download an extension, download it. If someone has missed an important tag, you can politely message them requesting to add it.

Rule 4, Don’t harass people for shipping your NoTp

We all have that one ship we absolutely positively hate with every fibre of our being. And chances are, someone hates your Otp with the same ferocity. Don’t harass people over shipping your NoTp.

Rule 5, Do your research

If you’re writing a fic and a plot point or character is introduced you’re not sure how to write, research it! Google is your friend! There are also blogs dedicated to assisting people with certain topics such as @writingwithcolor

Rule 6, Your kink is not my kink, and that’s okay

Chances are, someone gets off to something you hate. And, that’s okay! We all have different and varying tastes!

Rule 7, Feedback keeps content creators creating

Likes, comments, reblogs, and recomendations keep your fanfic writers writing. Where would writers be if no one read their works? Where would artists be if no one bought their art?

Rule 8, If you want it, write it

It’s bound to happen to everyone, you just can’t find a specific fic for a specific ship or it’s that one rare pair no one appreciates like you do. What do you do in this situation? You write it yourself! It may not be the best-written or most poetic or maybe it’s just a pure crackfic, but that’s okay!

Rule 9, Fanon is not Canon

Likewise, headcanons are not canon. And if someone has a different headcanon, that’s okay! Sure, we may ignore canon for fics but headcanons and fanfiction and fanart are not canon!

Rule 10, Fiction is not reality

And the most important of all, fiction is not reality. Writing abuse fics does not mean you support abuse in real life. Writing suicidal characters does not mean the writer is suicidal. Writing glorified murder fics does not mean the writer supports murder in real life.

If you have more positive rules, feel free to add! These are just 10 little rules I find to be very important for a happy healthy fandom. Remember, fandoms are supposed to be for fun! You write that shameless self-insert Mary Sue OC, you write that rarepair smut, you write that 250k slow burn Coffee Shop AU! You make fandom as fun as you want it to be!

Prologue: Collected Miscellany

C.X.K's Note: So closes the setting of reality and so does the spider weave its webs of lies. For those who can see, they will know that The Truth is twisted, they will know about the Web of Lies. History be twisted, truth be changed and above all reality is what I manipulate it to be.

Erayith, home to the two major nations, whereover Gods extend their rule over the nations and protect their peoples using the power bestowed upon them. In the perpetual meantime of an eternity under the sheltered world lying under the watchful eyes of the gods, most eagerly live, without dreaming. Ambition is the driving force, but without dreaming nothing is achievable. In the cyclical lives of the mundane, people could afford to live a fruitless life. Chasing nothing but the butterflies of what they call hope and faith.

Co-existing, living together, Erayith was such a place. Special like no other world as it was capable of housing many lifeforms, dimensions could exist unimpeded, hidden amongst the mortals of the waking world. In the world, spectacular phenomena often happen; spellcasting and magic. The ability to create the supernatural and the unreal, the very allowance for these to be able to manifest in the world was all part of gods’ imposed laws. The humans named this mystical working, giving it the name of maegenic.

Those humans, just like all other humans, lived by the settlement they were confined to, chained to the toiling ground that they first set foot on. But not all of them are bound in such a way; there grew those who dare to wander the lands. The Wayfarers who see themselves praised and admired throughout the lands, yet alone without ally as they explore the uncharted lands, alone. Like travellers, the Wayfarers do not live long in one place, instead moving from one place to another. Yet this constant nomadic lifestyle can be appreciated by the crowd but only a minority can transition from typical lifestyles to this. Such is the same with maegenic, the majority of people possess maegenic in some shape or form, but only a select few may learn to wield maegenic.

Even fewer may seek to understand its profound secrets, to dissect and truly unlock the truth of the world Erayith. For it is thought that maegenic holds the key; the ultimatum to unlocking what Erayith hides. But really, who can ascertain for sure what maegenic truly is? When asked, all that The Gods said was: “Defying fate and changing reality, those wishes ascertain an answer: maegenic. That which creates transformation, changes that which is unideal and corrects the erroneous faults of the imperfect.”

The BTS coven just keep him in a super big cage

It’s not even a cage, it’s like a mini mansion located inside the BTS coven mansion.

The maknaes move the TV nearer to the cage just for that week so they can have movie nights

There’s usually an explosion per day coming out of his “Sunshine Lab”

In which Hobi usually emerges drenched in colour

Jin immediately dumps a bucket of water on him and tells him to “go dry” in the sun

Hobi is working on a “Sope” (his and Suga’s ship name) that the members can use…

Occasionally changes the water colour in the bathroom so that the members shower in green, red, purple or blue water..there are a plethora of colours of course

Sometimes he will just change the lighting in the house itself so members (especially Yoongi) wake up to rainbows dancing across the room

“JUNG HOSEOK WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY ROOM?!”

Yeah that’s probably Yoongi…

Hobi will also put some cute lil fairy lights in his lab...don’t ask me how they don’t get damaged
