Wait, wait, wait, Merlin AU where instead of coming up with disguises as Dragoon and Dolma, Merlin and Gauis just pretend there's this magical spirit called Emrys who helps out. Because like Emrys is basically magic incarnate, right? so it could be easy to bs the idea that magic incarnate has no physical form.
Anyway, so now whenever magic help is needed they're like ah get Emrys but thing is Emrys needs a host to help out on the mortal plane or some bs like that and he always possesses Merlin. Thus allowing Merlin to help out without Arthur realising Merlin is helping out.
Plus then if they ever run into the druids and they're like "yo Emrys we love you" to Merlin, he can just be like "oh yeah he possessed me and dragged me out here the other day, they think I'm him oops".
Also if they're ever in a pinch then Merlin can just use magic and be like "ah looks like Emrys was around then".
Plus instead of the tavern excuse, it upgrades to the Emrys possessed him excuse whenever Merlin's off doing something.
Eventually it reaches a point where 'Emrys' has just saved them all and Arthur has completely had it with this magic spirit that keeps stalking him, possessing his manservant and dragging his manservant off into dangerous situations so instead of thanking him he just stands there yelling for ten minutes and Merlin is just trying to keep a straight face the entire time.
how could u not be
i’m just sayin
Me: *sits down across from the Merlin writers* Right guys, some amazing writing here, but I've got a few issues with it...
Me: Now, Lancelot dying, wasting a good character there, he's not really dying for a great reason, missing out in all the fun adventures he and Merlin could have together given, ya know, he knows about the magic
Me: Which brings me to my boy Elyan, again great potential to have nice character arcs with Gwen, some family backstory to flesh their characters out, also, his death doesn't contribute anything to the plot, ya get me?
Me: Okay, and Gwaine dying at the end. Now, Elyan was tortured by an Aether by Morgana and lived so why would Gwaine die here?
Me: Finally, and this a biggie- Arthur dying. We don't see Albion united, we don't see magic returned...The whole prophecy is just lost if he dies right at the end
Me: I guess what I'm saying guys is, are all these character deaths really needed?
Merlin writers:
i wish learning was fun again :/
I’m so tired of the goddamn school system making me and everyone else forget that we actually like learning. Like, humans are curious!! Kids are extra curious!!! We love to learn new things! I watched nature documentaries for fun when I was younger!!! I devoured books! But our school system teaches kids that “learning” means crying your eyes out if you don’t memorize eighty things within two days and I hate it so much!!! You are literally ruining the brains of children and teaching them to hate learning!!!

I love the raven cycle so much it actually pains me…especially the little things.. like orange juice runs at 3:32am, or ronan casually chucking noah out of a window, or ronan’s raven being named after a freakin’ machine, the murder squash song, ronan pushing adam in a trolley, blue and ronan calling each other ‘man’ and ‘bro’, gansey and his boat shoes….just, the raven cycle man
