i would love to explain everything in my room to someone i have so many stories of why and what things are
my secret agenda is actually just to sit in your room and show you my favorite songs while you explain different things you have on your wall or your desk to me
sometimes i just think of dan and phil living their shitty late teens/early 20s years where they didn’t have any money and they kind of had the worst parts of being prominent online (no privacy, invasive fans, judgement, homophobic slurs thrown at them constantly) but didn’t yet have the money that would later come from it and how many nights they must have spent in that first manchester apartment with the bed pushed into the corner of the room and barely any furniture and how us-against-the-world they must have felt then, in a different way than they do now, and how it’s reality for a lot of people that those growing pains years just kinda suck but dan and phil got to do through the sucky broke struggling what is the future even gonna be scary years together and idk man just fuck i love them
concept: we’re in a small house in new england and because the house is really old we end up snuggling. it’s snowing outside and there’s a power outage so we put out a lot of candles. we fall asleep in a blanket fort we made on our living room floor and wake up to cold air and bright sun.
They share food and bite off of the same side what are they trying to prove? They love? They are completely comfortable with each other?? Boyfriends??
dan and phil are a social experiment designed to torment single gays with their love
it’s not summer, but imagine it is summer and the sun is still golden and your and her are riding your bikes back to your house after a picnic. it’s lovely and then you go home and decide to make s’mores and there’s mosquitos and lightning bugs everywhere but you don’t mind because you’re happy. you and her are happy together.
The moon is a lesbian and the sea is her girlfriend. Change my mind.
dark academia on a budget
(because not only rich people can be dark academics)
-thrifting with friends for old sweaters that someone’s grandfather must have worn
-getting second (or third or fourth) hand books and reading the notes that other people left in them
-making sure everything is tidy and clean, no matter what
-adopting a minimalist aesthetic
-or making your own decorations (which then makes you better at lettering and art)
-sitting in a local cafe and buying the cheapest thing so that you can study there (and making sure that you tip as much as you can)
-reading poetry online, printing your favorites, and posting them on your walls
-taking as much of your family’s clothing that they’ll let you have
-rotating the same few shirts, pants, and shoes without anyone noticing
-a lack of jewelry (because there are more important things)
-sitting outside at a park to read or write
-looking outside windows on public transport while listening to somber music
I've survived a lot of things, and I'll probably survive this.
