((…. I don’t like making posts like this- I feel very guilty making posts like this- but I was just in a car accident today. I haven’t been informed anything from my insurance company on if my car is even savable- but all I know is I have a $1000 deductible on my vehicle that I need to pay in order for them to fix my car if it is fixable. He couldn’t help but laugh at how offended the hero looked. It was the truth though! Rody was way more experienced with lying and being believable. And they were Deku’s friends! How could Izuku possibly lie right to their faces? It was way easier for Rody in this situation.

“Wha-” Out of instinct, Rody leaned back against the wall of the closet, but was unable to escape the hero’s grasp. He could feel his shirt collar being pulled down and it caused the hidden Pino to squawk. “What are you doing Deku- Hey- Hey!” Rody’s hands were gripping onto Deku’s shoulders, but even with all his objections, he didn’t shove the other back at all.

  Honestly Izuku was a bit offended with the implication that Rody was making, sure he may not be a delinquent like Rody but even he was capable of lying! Ok he wants to make this so called lie believable then he is going to make it believable by not making it into a lie.   The greenette was on Rody in a matter of seconds, grabbing him by his jaw with one hand to turn his head to the side while his other hand tugged on the collar of Rody’s shirt enough to expose his neck. Leaning in to leave a noticeable mark on the brunette’s neck even after he would straighten himself out.

"Maybe he did mean to say that." A shrug. "Maybe not."

Rody knew first-hand that Deku was on another level with his quirk. Whatever it was... It allowed him to do a lot and was definitely fitting for a hero, but so many other quirks were also well-suited for the job. Not every hero had a power-type quirk, and that was okay.

"Of course I do. I know you can. You’re only going to keep improving and become an even better hero as time goes on.” He shifted a bit in his seat. "It's normal and completely understandable that you want to do so much more. It's just not attainable right now. But it will be eventually. All you can do is keep working harder and get stronger so that you can do more later down the line. You have to focus on the present since that ultimately affects your future."

Phew, that was a lot. He didn't have a sincere talk like this often.

"Eh, but what do I know, right?" Rody gave a shrug. "I may not be a hero myself, but I did mean every word I said."

Ochako's hands turned to fists at her sides, brows furrowing before she shut her eyes. Of course he was right but...it made her feel like...she wasn't enough. "I...can't even make the life of my parents easier. And I don't want to feel like...like I'm not a good heroine." She sighed and opened her eyes. "It's just...I've seen how fragile this whole world is and I wish I could do more, even if I can't do anything for myself."

She put on a sad smile. "I guess that's a silly thought, huh?"
