Rody ducked into an alley way that was a safe distance away from the commotion but close enough to keep an eye on it. He set the kid down carefully, crouching down to his eye level with a reassuring smile on his face. "Everything's going to be okay. We'll get you back to your parents. Just hang tight, alright?"
The brunette pulled out his phone to call the police. He put the phone up to his ear, his foot tapping while it rang. Hearing a loud thud caused him to peek around the corner of the alley to check on Uraraka. His eyes widened in concern seeing that she had been knocked into a building. But seeing her bounce right back eased his worries... a bit. How the hell were heroes so durable?
The kidnapper was ready to walk away after she made contact with the wall, but stopped in place when she yelled. He quickly turned around, crouching down to dodge for extra caution as he aimed his arms toward the debris. One hand produced a forceful blast, directing one of the projectiles back to Uraraka. The other hand produced a vacuum-like suction and caught the second projectile mid-air as he made it come towards him. With a quick turn and switch of hands, he propelled the piece to where Rody was peeking his head out from. He didn’t forget about her comrade.
Time flew by like the wind. Between classwork and trying to help Rody feel accommodated at UA, Ochako had barely enough time for herself!
But she decided to ask Hatsume for a new upgrade to her uniform and was passing the hallway when she noticed Rody's door to his guest room stood open. Sneaking a peak, she poked her head in but to her surprise he didn't seem to be there. Had he simply forgotten to close the door?
Scratching her head, she continued on her way to Hatsume when her stomach growled. Although she had a small lunch a few hours prior and wasn't very hungry, she still wanted to eat something.
I guess I'll meet Hatsume later.
With that thought, Ochako made her way to the kitchen to see if she could find a snack.

Deku shifted the conversation to focus on Rody that fast, huh?
“No.” A pause for dramatic effect. “I guess there was this one time during one of the jobs I took on. I needed to yell out a code word and... well, you can imagine my embarrassment when it cracked while being surrounded by a bunch of criminals that could beat my ass.”

"Maybe because you are one-" Rody mumbled real quietly, holding back a laugh. All tease, of course.
“Wha-?! Rody!” Izuku gasped, fake-offended. Unfortunately, his voice cracked over Rody’s name.
Rody knew fairly well himself that he wouldn't have been able to outrun the villain either. His parkour and running abilities wouldn't do him any good in a situation like this.
His grip tightened the moment they blasted forward. Even if he had prepared himself, the suddenness of the leap managed to catch him by surprise. Rody couldn't help but glance back and look at the damage the villain caused in their previous standing spot.
Holy crap. He shut his eyes tightly as the hero moved back and forth. This would all be over soon. They would get out of here. There was nothing to worry about.
With his sense of sight gone thank to his eyes being closed, Rody had noticed that the villain’s quirk gave the slightest audio cue. At the sound of the quirk being fired again, he couldn’t help but peek back.
The attack was coming quick. Was Bakugou aware of it? Was he going to dodge? Why was it taking longer than the previous times for him to move?
Out of instinct and panic, Rody's mind had decided that there was no other option.
He let go.
He kicked Bakugou away while doing so, making sure that they were both out of the line of fire. Without a doubt, falling from this height was scary, but Rody was hoping that he could cushion his landing well enough with his parkour knowledge.

It figured that he’d be stuck babysitting when a villain attacked. Now he had to get this extra out of harm’s way while taking out said villain. “‘course I got a fuckin’ plan, what kinda stupid-ass question is that?” He did not, in fact, have a plan at the moment, but he was working on one. At the moment, they were hunkered down waiting for a chance to move without getting blasted into pieces by their quirk. At least there weren’t any other civilians in the immediate area he had to worry about.
Flexing his fingers, tiny explosions crackled off in his palms. Their cover wouldn’t hold up forever; it was already starting to wear away under the constant assault. But as easy as it would be to just go out and start fighting them, the place was becoming structurally unsound. His explosions could make it collapse and crush them all--it was lucky that the villain wasn’t doing that already.
Crouching down, he glared over his shoulder at Rody. “Get on and hold on.” It was the best option for now.
Pino flew back towards him with a loud chirp. It caused Rody to look up since she had only been flying around silently before. Something must have caught her attention.
Rody froze in place at the sight suddenly in front of him. His heart felt like it was going to leap out at any moment. He was so happy but so so worried at the same time. These emotions were stirring up within him and needed to be let out.
"..Izuku."
Rody prepared for the hug once he saw Deku take his first steps. Upon impact, he stumbled back a bit but kept them both up right nonetheless. His heart shattered at the sound and sight of Izuku sobbing. He quickly wrapped his arms around him, giving a tight, comforting squeeze.
It didn't take long for Rody to start tearing up, burying his face into the green mess of hair, holding him even closer.
"...Y-You had me worried sick..."
Izuku was tired. Exhausted, honestly. Physically, emotionally, and any other type of exhausted that existed. After Uraraka managed to convince the civilians to let him rest at U.A., the last of his adrenaline drained from him. He could barely stand, so it was no surprise when his male classmates lifted him into the air and carried him off to the bath.
Though, as he was being carted off, he managed to glance around at the familiar surroundings of the common area. Though he’d been away for nearly two months, it felt more like an entire year instead.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted an oddly familiar pink bird flying across the living room. There was no way, right...?
There was no way he was here...!
He was just hallucinating from exhaustion. That had to be it! Still, Izuku could feel his heart ache as he was pulled into the bathroom.

you want the uncontrollable giggles, lighthearted kisses on noses, cheeks and foreheads. dancing to bad radio music in your underwear at 11am after a movie night that ended too late. it’s the same song you screamed along to in the car when you looked at them and realized for the first time that you fell in love with your best friend and you see it in their eyes that they feel the same. you’ve decided that life is too short to spend it loving what doesn’t make you happy.

wait brb gonna go bite some short kids ankles
Wait. Who's the short kid- Off he goes to check on Roro and Lala.
Rody listens to the story as it goes, an amused smile on his face as All Might is, of course, mentioned. Cute.
Rody waves a hand. "Nah not boring." He shifts his weight, keeping his gaze on Izuku. "At least it happened while you were a kid. My siblings have done stuff like that before, eating or licking things that they're not supposed to. The questions is, are the products you use for the shower still All Might themed, just in a new scent?"
📗 Ah, so Rody wanted to talk about that? "Y-yeah. Not my proudest moment..."
Cue a waver in his laugh and voice. "Y-you see, it happened when I was about three or four years old. My mom was giving me a bath and she ran out of All Might shampoo or body wash," he couldn't recall which, "right in the middle of it. So she just used one of her own and it was apricot scented. It smelled really good since the All Might one was banana scented but it was so faint, you couldn't tell.
Now, according to her, she let me sniff the bottle and uh... well, I remembered it smelling just as sweet as candy so, I guess, my kid brain thought it would taste the same." Kid brain was wrong. "She told Kacchan's mom who must have told him because he asked about it the next time we saw each other.
That's kinda what made me start using apricot shower stuff too." Gaze shifted away for a moment. "I hope I didn't bore you with that."
"I at least wanted to get a few more correct... But I shouldn't leave it up to a quiz to show how much I actually know about you."
@rody-soul said: "To be fair, I actually got a 6/10... I clicked rabbit but the website shifted and made me click dog, I swear."
Izuku smiled at Rody. "It's okay! I believe you, Rody!" He chuckled a little. "I still think a six out of ten is really good even if Kacchan says otherwise."
