Design notes for Farren, an OC from the story I’m currently writing! He’s always been one of my favorites to write cause he’s such a himbo, but his design always gave me trouble, so I sat down and threw this together.
It’s kinda random, but I hope y’all think it’s interesting nonetheless! I might come back and put down my inspiration/reasoning behind all the elements at some point lol
Literally cannot emphasize enough that my #1 writing advice is to stop being afraid. Stop being afraid of sounding too cringe, or too stupid, or too horrifying, or too horny, or too weird, or too much, or too little, or too you. You need to put your entire pussy into your art. Sure, it won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you keep yourself to the blandest tamest safest roads possible you will be of no one's tastes, not even yours.
my experience with transmasculinity is just: I like being a boy but in a girly feminine way which is me just reclaiming my femininity while embracing my newfound self as a boy because Ive always yearned to be a boy but not in a way that's seen as hyper masculine(because I was already seen that way for being black) but in a way that's cute and happy and desirable to others and myself.
Just new two more!!

Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.
Funky traditional OC sketch with a quote from the story I’m writing!
There’s a buncha mistakes in this one but oh well
You will not use AI to get ideas for your story. You will lie on the floor and have wretched visions like god intended

Don't think about writing as just the act of getting words down on a page.
Brainstorming ideas. Daydreaming about the characters. Researching the world they inhabit. Trying to come up with a fucking title.
If you only count the time you spend sitting at a keyboard, you're not giving yourself credit for all of the work you did leading up to the moment when the story is finally clear enough in your mind that you can start putting it into actual words.
