BloomClan too received another omen from the Seelie Court a moon after their ill Prophecy. While Ebonyfrost and Hawkdust were faced with an odd sleep, apprentice Cricketleaf had a vision akin to a nightmare…

What does it mean for BloomClan when something buried becomes restless?

When did you find yourself right at the mouth, Cricketleaf? Is it still called as such when it begins to crack and groan, as if opening a maw within a maw? When eyes glitter from the throat of the maw?

Definitions aren't exactly an importance when a jet black paw rips itself free from the crack and claws into the edges as if holding into its own life. Then, another crack and as fossilized bones trickle free from the stone so comes free a large paw, with toes that stretch like the legs of a spider moving as if it each was a tail. The toes too cling to the crack's edge with blunt claws. There is no peaceful fading back off to the world, there is no gentle fall back to the sleeping body. Awakening is like being thrown onto a frozen lake's surface and crashing through the ice, the sight of the two paws seared into the cold.

He blinks his eyes open. He is now right back where he started, as if his running was just a fruitless task from the beginning. Cricketleaf is frozen eternally. He cannot take his eyes off of the cave as it begins to crack and shift. Words cannot be used to describe what is happening, but perhaps that is the point in being shown this. Something unnatural is ripping itself free from its cracked prison.

Spelunkers sent to the tunnels below, unaware of what lays beneath their paws. What will they find? What does it mean for BloomClan and the Seelie Court? And will these strange visions reach above the earth to unsuspecting warriors?
