She doesn't appear in a lot of fanfiction, but she's usually cold, blunt, and aloof until something happens to make her warm up.
I don't think she's like that.
Her first (chronological) appearance was in "Grudge Match" when she was shown at the Robot Rumble. She seemed to be friends with the other fans - she was shown to sit with some of them, laugh, and gossip, so she has no problems socializing with people who share her interests.
In "Partners" she's shown to not want Kim's help on the project, but lets her help after Kim admits to going over her work and looking up about half the words to understand it.
(She also had no problems autographing a picture for Professor Allenford when he asked.)
So, it appears that she was more impressed that Kim tried than if Kim had understood immediately.
And, since she appreciates people trying, it's probably not an issue of thinking herself above those less intelligent than her, it's an issue of not typically having a partner who even tries to understand what she's doing.
She had no problems with Kim after Kim put in the effort to understand her project.
That probably doesn't happen a lot, which is why she was dismissive at first.
But she is shown to have friends, or at least people she likes spending time with. And she is shown to be kind to people when they actually try. She doesn't require people to have the same natural intelligence as her, just to be willing to put in the effort.
I'm sure everyone, at some point, has understood having to carry a group project on their own. And understood the hatred of group projects that comes with it.
So, if she's a bit cold and distant at first, I can't really blame her.

Also, even Ghoulia's texts were in "zombie", which isn't actually a great representation of non-verbal people.
The non-verbal people I knew, keeping in mind they were nowhere near as intelligent as Ghoulia, were still able to type and write.
G1 Ghoulia didn't have that. It sucks that there's no non-verbal representation, but g1 Ghoulia wasn't a great representation.
And the creators acknowledge that. So they changed it. Because they want to do a non-verbal character authentically.
One of the show runners even stated that this was the reason.
And, I still believe Ghoulia does represent some kind of disability.
In "Growing Ghoulia" she talks about how difficult it is for zombies to earn points at monster high because they're not as fast as other monsters.
That sounds familiar...
In "Flaunt Your Skeleton" we learn that Ghoulia has anxiety tics and, in "Dawn of the Dread" her anxiety manifests as a monster.
So, Ghoulia might not be non-verbal anymore, but she's still a good representation of disability.
People can be upset that she's no longer non-verbal, but she's still a great character.
And here's hoping that, when they include a non-verbal character, we love them as much as we love g1 Ghoulia.
Alright, time to share some thoughts. This is going to be about Monster High g3, specifically Ghoulia.
Now, I understand why people are upset that she can talk in this generation as there's now no representation for nonverbal characters, but I do love that they veered away stereotypical zombies that are super slow and can only communicate with grunts & other noises that aren't recognizable as words. But, more importantly, she wasn't intended to be representative of nonverbal people.
Now, I'm not saying that nonverbal shouldn't relate to her, that's not something anyone has control over. What I'm saying is this: the writers for the new generation likely decided to give her the ability to speak so that they could explore her character more, and so that when they eventually do add a nonverbal character, they can be sure to do it right & consult with nonverbal people about their lived experiences.
For example: when the live-action movie came out, I related to Frankie's struggles with social situations, but the creators said they're not autistic. (And my twin explained that Frankie's only 2 weeks old & it's hard to diagnose autism before 3 years). I was a little heartbroken, as they were the only character I sort of related to. Note: were.
And then g3 Twyla made her debut, and then had an episode about growing up, and it was like someone put my lived experience on the screen. I felt so seen & understood, as did many autistic fans of the show.
So, while I understand that the current lack of nonverbal representation is frustrating, I'm sure(ly hoping) that they will make a nonverbal character, and that they're just making sure they can make them accurate and not written as a harmful stereotype.
First thought:
This one of the hardest parts of writing an AU.
For Chloe to face consequences, Andre would have to be less willing to break rules and laws for her.
But that leads to the problem of how did her reign of terror even last so long in the first place?
If the teachers don't need to worry about losing their jobs for disciplining Chloe, then how could she have gotten away with so much?
I have ideas, but putting it all together in a way that works is difficult.
Second thought:
This is a super annoying thing about canon: Andre and Gabriel are redeemable, but Chloe and Lila aren't.
Two grown adults are redeemable, but teenage girls aren't.
Neither Andre or Gabriel is shown doing anything worthy of redemption, but, sure, they get a pass.
Chloe is a literal child who is shown, on occasion, to feel bad for hurting others, but she's somehow irredeemable.
Lila's debut episode just had her lying about knowing celebrities which, though bad, doesn't make her the villain they turned her into.
(I have changes for her in my AU too.)
The men writing this show think grown adult men who hurt children are redeemable, but not literal children.

I was gonna wait to give my review of Season 5 - I wanted a release date for Season 6 and then drop them like a count down leading up to the new season - which is why I haven't delved in much and talked about my opinions.
But Chloe's ending was bullshit, and we all know it. Not because she leaves Paris, not because she loses the few friends and connections she has, and not even because she's a massive brat who finally gets some form of comeuppance.
But because of the form that comeuppance comes in.
Why on God's Green Earth is ANDRE the one? ANDRE is the one to drag her ass out of Paris and condemn her publicly and gets to act like the big hero, doing the right thing and putting Chloe in her place? ANDRE. The one who GAVE her her place and covered it in gold leaf and never once until this whack-job of a season considered that a bad thing?!
Appropriate, appropriate face Caline.
The absolute absurdity of them to write THIS MAN in any sort of correct light, the one who from Day 1, Season 1 has been a solid and complete background for why Chloe is...Chloe. Who spoiled and abused his power to make sure she never felt an ounce of consequences or remorse or backlash. How dare they try and pull this move on us when they could remove Audrey from the story entirely and no one would second guess Chloe's entire personality or upbringing?
These writers have somehow convinced themselves that Andre is not only without any guilt in the outcome of this situation, but that he's redeemable! Redeemable through the act of shipping off his daughter, whom he's been nothing but devoted to, and sending her off to a boarding school with her (AS HE ADMITS) just as awful mother as her chaperone, while he abducts casually replaces her with his new better daughter, Zoé.
I'm sure that won't have an adverse effect on your child who is used to absolute and unconditional love for her whole life, you are definitely a good person who's finally figured out how to do the right thing.
These writers have somehow convinced themselves that Chloe is absolutely hopeless and evil and has reached the point of no return, but ANDRE. Andre's fine.
And Gabriel too, apparently. Hm, seems to be a theme with these worthless male parents and getting off scott free....
I’ll agree that is usually Ron who is a more dynamic character and he is usually the one one who seems to put more effort/is more invested into their relationship, (but this can be easily explained by S4 focusing more on him) but a lot of the things you are complaining about are just a result of judging a cartoon by real world standard and taking it far too seriously.
All of the points you brought up were just scenes that are meant to establish the plot of the episodes or show the changes the characters were going through, like the coupon scene was to establish Kim and Ron needed jobs.
And Kim expressing she wanted something different for their next date isn’t bad, she is communicating her needs and that’s a good trait in any relationship.
I'm aware they're scenes that were brought up to establish plot.

Yes, Kim expressing she wanted something different for their next date is good. My biggest complaint, and that's on me for not making it clear, is that when Ron did provide her with something new, she pouted and moped.
At a ceremony Ron's dad was being honored at.
It might not have been the most exciting thing ever, and I could understand the disappointment, but for an almost-adult, pouting and moping is kind of immature behavior.
Her sarcastic comment of "Yep, real exciting" also wasn't necessary.
Ultimately, it's not bad the she wants something new, it's bad that she doesn't offer specific ideas but complains about what Ron arranged anyways.
I understand that most of what I complain about is meant to establish the plot of the episode. I just think there were better ways to do that.
The coupon scene: there could have been other ways of establishing Kim and Ron wanting and/or needing jobs.
For example:
They're seniors who want a bit more independence and spending money than their allowances can provide.
Kim's saving up for a car and Ron's saving up for a new scooter.
They're both hoping to put extra money in their college funds.
Kim might want new clothes and Ron might want a new gaming system.
Kim wanted the employee discount at Club Banana and Ron wanted the employee discount at the places he applied to.
Any combination of the above.
There are definitely other scenarios in which they'd want and/or need jobs.
Kim complaining about Ron using coupons for their dates, despite not financially contributing to them herself, didn't have to be one of them.
They felt so odd and even out of character for Kim at that point, everything about the movie felt very season one-isn, Kim’s character felt off and even a little disrespectful:
Kim: “Ron is not boyfriend material, he is Ron ”
Bonnie: “you could end up with the president of the Chess club or worse” (as Ron enters the scene)
There are so many scenes where Ron is able to ponder about his feelings about Kim, there are many scenes where he does something that shows he loves her and in general seems to prioritize her happiness.
( little scenes like when he buys her a jacket, every time he is supportive and tells her she can do anything, that she is beautiful, when she gives her the credit for saving the day in the Ron factor episode, we have whole scenes where Ron’s character evaluated the way he feels about her and how important she is to him.)
I think is amazing how the cartoon portrays Ron as an introspective, open and emotionally available person (very rare in a boy character during that time, is amazing and part of the whole subversion of tropes the show had going on).
This is part of the reason what made me love Ron’s character and Kim and Ron’s relationship
But we almost didn’t get any of that with Kim, we barely ever saw how she felt about anything, she was never allowed to be as open and vulnerable about her feelings as Ron was. 3_5
Truthfully, even today, it can be hard to find a teenage guy character who is so open about his feelings.
So I do love that about Ron.
And I hate that Kim was never allowed that same vulnerability. She was only shown to have fears or insecurities a few times; fighting the Lorwardians in "Graduation", a newly discovered fear of giant bugs in "Roachie", and anything involving Josh Mankey.
And, even though she could experience fear and insecurities, it never made her sympathetic towards any of Ron's.
There where shows back then where the teen male protagonist was allowed to be emotional and vulnerable, so why isn't a teen female protagonist allowed the same?
So, it's a few years after the end of the first movie. Megamind is starting to feel the same burnout Metroman felt.
Roxanne and Minion are trying to be supportive, but they don't really know how to help.
He's also moving into a more "heroic" lair, and is trying out more heroic suits. (White and blue instead of black and blue.)
Anyways, the container that held the powers given to Titan is being transported, admittedly not very carefully, when it breaks, releasing the powers into the city and granting other people powers.
Now, the powers had been harvested from Metroman's DNA. The thing about DNA is that it degrades over time. So, a few years prior it would have given people exact copies of Metroman's powers, it doesn't do that this time.
There are gaps in the DNA that's granting powers, and the recipient's DNA fills in the gaps, altering the powers they're granted.
This also means it'll be harder to remove them.
There will be a scene where Megamind and Minion need help, and Metroman shows up to save them.
Obviously, people are at first elated that Metroman is alive, but then react angrily at realizing he just left them.
Roxanne will give a great speech about how the public never cared about Megamind or Metroman, and they should be ashamed of themselves for it.
There will also be a few characters who want to be heroes, but are granted powers that are seemingly useless. Eventually, they realize their powers are more than that, they are more than that, and figure out all that their powers are capable of.
Metroman tells Megamind that he doesn't need a "heroic" lair or costume, that he's a better hero as himself than when he's trying to be like Metroman.
They defeat a big bad who'd been rallying up superpowered criminals for a big fight.
The final scene shows that the new lair has design elements from Megamind and Metroman. It would also show that they have more people with powers to track down and potentially fight.
The new team is called Megamind and the Metro Men.
And it could lead into a TV series if necessary.
In my Unstoppables AU Brick and Tara are siblings, so I thought it'd be fun to edit Tara to have Brick's colors, though I kept her eyes their original color.
I think it's an interesting look, and it helps Tara look more distinct from Jessica, who is also a blue-eyed platinum blonde.
I don't own Tara, but I do own this picture, so please don't use it without my permission.
Yeah, Kim feels unrelatable. Her life is too perfect, she's too naturally talented at everything, her parents are too permissive, etc. Kim's life is not relatable. At all. Sure, she's a great fantasy, but when you're older, you want relatability more than fantastically perfect.
At some point, it just stops being fun to watch someone who's life is unattainably perfect.
I actually left out the pre-school Halloween costume because, due to his age at the time, I wasn't sure if that would count as a disregard for gender norms.
Also, in the episode "Grudge Match" his rules were that Zita was out of his league and he shouldn't even try asking her out because of it. Less to do with gender norms and stereotypes, and more to do with his perception of himself.
(He's also more surprised that Vivian's boyfriend isn't as good looking as her and that he's a robot than he is that she's a scientist.)
Kim did call his rules ridiculous, but the early part of the episode makes it clear that, despite this, Kim actually does believe Ron doesn't stand a chance with Zita.
Ron: What kind of chance do I have a girl like that anyway? Kim: Honest opinion or best-friend fudge? Monique: Fudge it, girl! Kim: It doesn't hurt to ask.
And it's a bit offensive, because they knew nothing about Zita at the time, so the only reason to think Ron doesn't stand a chance is because she just has a low opinion of Ron in general.

I believe that Ron Stoppable is neurodivergent. Many of his traits line up with being neurodivergent.
In "Mind Games" Ron mentions liking the skirt on Kim's cheer uniform.
In "Attack of the Killer Bebes" he got a movie makeup kit as a birthday present.
In "Two to Tutor" he is revealed to love baking and is mentioned as being interested in interpretive dance.
He becomes a fan of the Oh Boyz in "Oh Boyz".
He becomes a fan of "Kim Style" in "Kimitation Nation".
He is implied to be interested in Britina dolls in "Queen Bebe".
These are all things typically regarded as feminine interests, but when Ron has his crisis about being a man in "Ron the Man", none of that stuff is what he's concerned about. He's not afraid any of that stuff makes him less of a man, and he feels no shame about them (most of the time).
There are several times where Ron is shown to not care about popularity, though there are also several times where Ron is shown to care a great deal about how others perceive him.
In "October 31st" Ron is shown to still be interested in going trick-or-treating, despite the fact that most people would have outgrown this hobby by this point.
In "Grande Size Me" Ron becomes obsessed with proving Barkin wrong about the food pyramid, and begins behaving in a defensive manner over it.
(Of course, Ron invented the Naco, which was the specific item Barkin was criticizing, so it's a bit understandable.)
In "Dimension Twist" Ron spends three days straight watching cable television.
Ron has a tendency to become obsessed with his interests, and defensive if someone doesn't like them.
In "Monkey Fist Strikes" Ron is revealed to be interested in video games, and this is mentioned again in "Steal Wheels".
In "Larry's Birthday" it's revealed that Ron has regular meetups with Larry and Larry's friends.
In "Queen Bebe" Ron is implied to have an interest in Britina dolls.
Ron is a fan of the Oh Boyz in "Oh Boyz", even when they're so unpopular no one goes to their concerts. In addition to this, he doesn't even realize they're no longer popular.
Ron may not having been looking for a naked mole rat specifically, but he does consider them to be cool pets.

Ron is also concerned about being replaced as Kim's best friend or sidekick, as shown in "Pain King vs Cleopatra", or boyfriend, as shown in "Ill-Suited".
So Ron displays many traits associated with neurodivergent teenagers.
And these also happen to be the traits that the show used to write him as a "loser".
And that's one of the reasons I dislike so much of the show's humor being at Ron's expense - because it often relies on poking fun at Ron not behaving in a neurotypical way.
And as someone who is not neurotypical, seeing the character that's the most like me being the "buffoon" character, the "inept sidekick" character, the one who is incompetent and incapable, well...it kind of hurts.
Because it kind of feels like they're saying what I and many other neurodivergent people have heard our whole lives - that you can't do anything, and you look foolish for trying.
Look, I realize this wasn't intentional. But, even unintentionally, Ron is very heavily neurodivergent-coded, and that happens too often in media - humor that relies on someone having neurodivergent traits and making fun of them for it.
And we've all grown past that.
First Thought: Who the fuck let an old lady own a puma?! How did this happen?! Just...what?!
And she owns an alligator too?!
And briefly owned a grizzly?!
Who is this woman?!
Second Thought: Wade should have told them it was a puma before they even went on that mission.
Kim might have had a battle suit to protect her, but Ron didn't, and should have been told ahead of time the kind of danger it really was so he could better prepare himself, even if it meant not going.
Third Thought: Since when does Kim have a Cuddle Buddy collection? I know it's been mentioned before, but her Pandaroo is the only one that's ever seen. I'd hardly call that a collection.
Not trying to be insulting, I'm saying it'd be nice to see Kim with other Cuddle Buddies. One Cuddle Buddy does not a collection make, so show us the other ones she has.
Fourth Thought: Ron needs to work on not telling other people about Kim's secrets. Not just about the battle suit, but her Cuddle Buddy collection was also meant to be a secret and he shouldn't have told Larry about that either.
Fifth Thought: Not really role model behavior from Kim here:
Says she and Larry don't share the same planet.
Runs out of the comic shop exclaiming "real world" as though spending time around geeks is physically harmful.
She apologizes for putting down Larry's interests at the end, but then makes a condescending comment about real life being cooler than science fiction.
(Kim's real life might be cooler than made-up scenarios, but the average person's real life isn't.)
Sixth Thought: Gotta agree with June here: a guy who willingly stands around during a fight, comments on how it's like a video game, ignores the suggestion to get to safety because "it's just getting good", and gets into a helicopter with strange people assuming it's a LARP for his birthday, is not someone who should be left alone.
Seventh Thought: Why is Larry's birthday party being thrown at Kim's house? Shouldn't it be thrown at Larry's house?
Kim's kind of condescending, but I feel bad that she has to either attend a party she, no doubt, doesn't want to go to, or spend the whole day out of her own house to avoid it.
Also, I feel bad for Kim, with her closet getting blown up. I know it probably gets fixed quickly, but I still feel bad for her.
Eighth Thought: Does June not have any pictures of Larry dressed in normal clothing to use for the posters? Is the wizard costume the only outfit he ever took a picture in?
Ninth Thought: Kim doesn't care about Ron or Hana. Okay, that's probably not true, but she should never have suggested that Ron bring his baby sister on a mission when he's supposed to be watching her.
(Would you be okay if your SO told you to bring your baby sister on a potentially life-threatening adventure?)
She called it "recon" and said it wouldn't be dangerous, but she was clearly expecting to run into Dementor and his henchman while doing it, and thus expecting a fight. And Ron would have had to protect himself and Hana while fighting. This is not the behavior of someone who cares about Ron or his loved ones.
(Especially when she will adamantly deny needing Ron on missions, so, if she had truly believed it wouldn't be dangerous, there was no reason to bring him along anyways. And if she had believed it would be dangerous, she should never have suggested bringing the baby.)
Also, it's not really fair of Kim to not believe Ron when he said he didn't blow up the lair. Ron is canonically a terrible liar, and he wouldn't lie in the first place. He'd own up to his mistake, like he's done every other time he accidentally destroyed something.
Final Thought: Regardless of Larry thinking the whole thing was a LARP, he was pretty badass at the end. He needs a reality check and his own battle suit. He would make great backup on a mission.
(Ron also needs his own battle suit, but that's a discussion for another time.)
This is probably small in the grand scheme of things, but how did Emilie being noble play any impact in the story at all?
I mean, I'd get it if it was just a small detail to help deepen Emilie's character, but why nobility of all things? I don't know, from what I'm seeing so far, the whole "Emilie renounced her noble title" shtick just feels worthless if it's not going to impact the story or add depth to Emilie's character (like maybe upbringing or personal values?).
I don't know. Like everything else, the noble part just feels shallow and means nothing to the story, especially for a character like Emilie, who is the plot device for the whole show. Any detail about her, like her personality and life story, is supposed to influence the story and characters one way or another, namely Hawkmoth since she's his driving force.
So what was the point?
For context, this ask is about Félix's play which says that Emilie gave up her title to be with Gabriel. I'm gonna give a slightly larger section of the transcript of the play for full context, but the relevant but is at the end of the last paragraph:
Félix: The king and queen's twins grew up, each day as different in heart as they were similar in body. The firstborn, curious and brazen, despised life at court and escaped at every opportunity. The younger daughter, well-behaved and respectful, did everything she could to please her parents, and stayed quietly in the castle. Félix: (as Mr. Graham de Vanily) Oh, my queen. Did we entrust our legacy to the right princess? Kagami: (as Mrs. Graham de Vanily) She will fall in line, eventually. Félix: Confident that she would settle down as she matured, the king and queen allowed the curious princess to leave to study beyond the sea in another kingdom. There, she immediately found true love in a humble tailor. Félix: The tailor was making clothes so magnificent that they revealed the beauty of the soul of anyone who wore them. Although it made her parents furious, the curious princess gave up her rank, her wealth and her kingdom to live a bohemian life with the tailor.
Story wise, I have no idea why any of this was added since it adds nothing to canon. It's not like this finally explains why Gabriel and Emilie are poor while Amelie is wealthy. Along similar lines, it's not like Amelie's title has ever mattered. Prior to this play, I don't think that we even knew that she had a title or that she was the younger sister. The play is all about explaining things that we never had reasons to question in the first place.
My best guess as to why the writers wrote this pointless backstory is that they wanted to make Emilie seem even more pure and perfect so they went with the tired old trope of a rich girl giving up material things for the sake of love and art because good pure women don't care about material things! Only nasty, shallow women care about money. (Way to play into sexist tropes, guys.)
There may also be cultural elements at play here given that France doesn't have the greatest history with nobility, so giving up a noble title may be seen as good and pure to a French writer, but I don't know enough about French culture to say that with any certainty. If anyone who reads this blog is French and would like to chime in, then feel free!
While we're on the topic of the play, I wanted to point out that the above quoted passage is why I say that the Graham de Vanily parents can be as kind or as abusive as you'd like to make them. It's incredibly vague and you can read into it whatever you want to read into it. Were they good loving parents who were just upset about their daughter living in poverty or were they miserable controlling classist who Emilie fled England to get away from? It's up to you because you can get both reads from this. The play commits to almost nothing of value. Politicians could take lessons from this impressive level of noncommittal writing.
A better version of the play would have focused on things that actually matter to canon like the details of finding the miraculous and/or Emilie learning she's sick, but you could only have those details if they were coming from Nathalie or Gabriel. Félix is a terrible choice for a character to tell us the show's backstory because he knows so little of it, thus the play focusing on his largely pointless backstory.
The episode, not the character.
Well, I do like that it dealt with disability. And Kim's behavior is actually reminiscent of how many people in the real world treat someone with an obvious disability.
I love that Ron treated Felix like a normal person from the beginning.
And I like that Felix's mom was patient with Kim being uncomfortable with Felix's chair.
(Because Kim's not discriminatory, she has just never been near someone with a physical disability before and has no idea what's considered acceptable behavior.)
However, I do have one complaint:
For all the times Ron acts like Felix is a normal person and even tells Kim to treat him like a normal person, Felix doesn't.
At no point is Felix anything other than...polite.
Sure, Kim's not trying to be mean, but micro aggressions are typically done by people who don't have harmful intentions.
(Though Felix isn't aware of most of them, so I will give some leeway here.)
We have Ron advocating for Kim to treat Felix like a normal person, but we never have Felix advocating for that himself.
(He's also not really advocating, he's just treating Felix like a normal person and telling Kim she's too hung up on the chair.)
Felix is never his own advocate when it comes to how he's treated.
And having a disabled person in a show is great, but it's even better when they advocate for themselves.
Again, I know that Kim's not trying to be mean, but she is treating Felix differently because of his disability. And Felix should be the one calling her out on it, not Ron.
(Though he's new, so it's possible he thinks she treats everyone that way, though it's really unlikely.)
I know it's not intended to be offensive, and I wouldn't say I'm offended, but I do think disabled characters should be allowed to advocate for themselves.
Still, I do like this episode, and I wish we had gotten to see more of Felix in the series.
