Okay, so let me see if I understand correctly:
Boys wanting to write poetry is a metaphor for boys wanting the freedom to make out in the back of old bookstores and to wear lipstick while reciting Shakespearean sonnets without having to hear the constant disapproval of others
Men running away to become pirates is a metaphor for men running away from the safe, heteronormative lives society forced them into in order to start a more genuine, albeit more dangerous, life for themselves
Nerdy teens fighting monsters together is a metaphor for teens who were once outcasted by their community for being different helping each other to confront their trauma and to become the heroes of their own stories
And women playing baseball is a metaphor for women reclaiming their femininity after spending most of their lives being told they’re “not real girls” because they don’t fit the mold the patriarchy wants them to fit into
But ultimately all of them are just metaphors for a friend group being gayer than the fucking fourth of July
imagining the boys in the band from the perspective of literally any of the characters is unfathomable to me…imagine showing up at a party for a friend and the mentally ill host’s closeted college friend shows up and KILLS THE VIBE…imagine being a naive young cowboy for hire looking to make a quick buck and get to the bars before midnight but you kiss the wrong guy and all the older gay men bully you and make fun of you while envying your beauty… imagine being late to your party and there’s already been a fistfight and your best frenemy fell off the wagon and insults you and forces the guests to play a psychological mind game and bodily prevents his vibe killing college friend from leaving the apartment unless he torpedoes his life…but parties were just like that in the 70s…

I love how everyone is always like, “james potter is straight in canon…” but its never “regulus black was straight” because no straight bitch writes like, “to the dark lord, it was i who discovered your secret….”
I just watched When Marnie was There and i am sobbing my eyes out!!!! Ugghhh i am going through my list of Studio Ghibli movies i need to watch and i did not expect to cry…. Even though i probably should have😭😭
*sigh* i dont know where these are coming from and why they are on my page but like, cant we all just chill or whatever? Like, i get not shipping characters or not agreeing with something but like, this fandom is full of complex characters that really, we know basically nothing about. Cant we all just relax and read what we want and not make a huge deal of hating a character or a ship? And also, just because people ship jegulus, doesnt mean that they are trying to degrade Lily. Like, no one said that because she was a wife and a mother that she wasnt a strong person. Ship who you like im just tired of the hate.
coming out as an og marauders girly: i HATE jegulus.it makes no sense.james would NEVER.regulus wasn’t the rebel you make him to be.he didn’t do it out of a feeling of justice.it was ego.you all make out regulus what sirius actually was.this ship legit ruined this fandom.jily forever.james and lily are soulmates.its okay to have a straight ship relax.lily being a wife and a mother doesn’t make her less of a strong woman.enough of this bullshit.i get that this fandom is based on imagination and headcannons but they need to make a little bit of sense tho. james would never date a death eater.or someone from his brother’s abusive horrible family.jily my beloved you will live.
AU where Steve came to California for his family summer vacation when he was 9 and met a boy with blue eyes, blond hair, and with a cute surf board, and they hung out for that whole week
Ten years later, Steve is super determined to go back and find him again
