Shadow, G.U.N Agent and the AU’s equivalent of Maximus!

Just as Maximus works for the Royal Guard, Shadow works closely with G.U.N as their top agent. While he prefers to work alone, with Eggman’s heightened attacks and domination there tends to be more mutual gain from working with them, all in the name of protecting the planet and taking Eggman down. He’s reliable, determined, does their dirty work and gets the job done. He’ll stop at NOTHING to achieve his goal… unless a certain little fox and his wishes just happen to remind him a bit too much of Maria to deny them.

Shadows spends most of the AU tracking Sonic down trying to repossess the yellow Chaos Emerald that was previously in G.U.N’s possession. While annoyed at Sonic’s even more reckless and careless attitude, he deep down envies the sense of freedom the hedgehog seems to have despite the world falling down around him. Despite his frustrations with Sonic, throughout the story he slowly starts to see some changes in the hedgehogs attitude surrounding his growing protective and caring nature towards Miles/Tails.

Thank you so much also to @sh-0-w-1-sh for creating some amazing concept designs for Shadow which majorly helped in developing his look as well as all the discussions we’ve had surrounding him and his role in the story! And last but not least thank you also to @/friskencore who helped get my mind rolling on thinking of an alternate design for Shadow within the au! Hey, is there a movie or show where the slasher/killer ends up with the final girl (or boy even)? It's a really popular trope in like fandom and fanfic but as far as I know it doesn't exist in official media form... Does anyone know anything like that? Something like, the killings were somewhat justified and as such the survivor falls for the killer or something. Idk idk just thinking.

If not, then what's a really good fic with that trope? I don't really care if it's from a random fandom I know nothing about lol I just want to see the concept actually executed (extra points if it's lgbt!!!)

Also I just got into horror movies bc I'm quite squeamish lmao (watched Jennifer's body and loved it) so if anyone has a recommendation I'd appreciate trigger warnings :))
