For some of us, getting through the holiday season is kind of a nightmare, and this year in particular is tough for me. So I'm sticking with strategies that I know help. Rewatching old favourites, finding distractions, stepping back when I need to and not feeling guilty about it. One of my strategies is to binge the Doctor Who Christmas specials. So much fun (for me) to watch, and a great distraction. So, Allons-y!! My kid is the coolest. She spent a lot of time this past weekend working on a 3D map of her fictional city (New Asguard). The dinosaur paddock was particularly inspired. #mykidrocks https://www.instagram.com/p/ByaSrv8BpuvDW2w8zZpHwtPeLNTEcMvvhV3wV00/?igshid=aezcbdsbgxt1

Little Friday afternoon office rivalry where we're being asked to choose between one great thing and ear-garbage. I chose not to vote but instead let Grumpy Cat speak for me. https://www.instagram.com/p/BrYSgA3gXxO5z8-wjckjY5h_BN6hAEBDgMFQ8k0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1aqy6ttedskgk
“Watch the sunrise at least once a year, put a lot of marshmallows in your hot chocolate, lie on your back and look at the stars, never buy a coffee table you can’t put your feet on, never pass up a chance to jump on a trampoline, don’t overlook life’s small joys while searching for the big ones.”

Trin and I are at the Infinity War premiere. We predict that things aren't going to work out well for Vision, what with the Infinity Stone in his head and all. Lol. #notaspoiler #havenotseenityet
It isn't the holidays at our house until this movie is on, so I thought while we watch it, I'd put together this meme. Maybe it will encourage others to enjoy this Christmas miracle? 🤣🎄🏢 https://www.instagram.com/raistlinsghost/p/CX2JPpVrNh5/?utm_medium=tumblr
Good words from someone who wasn't able to find happiness enough to stay. Life is short. Do what you need to look after yourself, and not what others think you're supposed to. Do what makes you happy. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cep2dyfuf59o-vOJOcotDGpXh1hnlaPT4MBhRA0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
So June is migraine awareness month. Because every day, week, month is taken up for awareness for something now. And just to be a pain in the ass, I woke up with one that lasted for 2 days, morning of June 1st. Timely. People with migraine disease typically have periods of high frequency attacks that taper to lower, and then back. Cyclical, so doctors have told me. I haven't gone more than 2 weeks without one in over 6 months, and mine last for days. They're hard on my loved ones, impact my ability to do my job and function at home, and no picnic to deal with. I'm ready for them to tick back to less often again anytime now. But a cure, or a treatment that actually prevents them. Or even some of them. That would be nice. Endrant. Now, who doesn't like memes, right? For migraineurs, I think you'll appreciate these. For others, here's a sortof funny glimpse into what it's like for us. #migrainelife #funnyandtrue #brainfog #allitalkaboutareinvisibleillnessesnow https://www.instagram.com/p/CA-TV0RHYLO2eOD1fAA18p_eSg0fcJwvSwPHtk0/?igshid=j6gxq3bxyfzz
One day.
You can't be happy all the time, but this sorrow you are feeling isn't all you have. The pain demands to be felt, but it also tricks you into feeling that it will never go away. But you can find release from it when you start coping with it. Instead of believing this pain is all you will ever feel, believe in yourself and that you can heal. I know you can. One day, this won't hurt as much.
