Do not obey in advance...you are only teaching power what it can do.
you saw, what you saw.
you saw an app that was used for organizing and spreading information be banned to suppress free speech.
you saw that app be brought back but as a fascist propaganda machine.
you saw the richest man in the world do a nazi salute and be cheered by thousands of people.
you saw ICE agents deport hundreds (for now) of undocumented immigrants.
you saw it. you saw it all. dont let a single person tell you that you haven't.
unite. resist. fight.
dont let them stamp you out.

fun thing about herding and/or generally neurotic breeds: they are really good at following rules you have instituted, but they will also make their own Dog Rules they will follow stringently whether or not you like it
I need the assumption that most or every shelter/rescue dog was abused to stop
Unless you know for a fact that the dog was abused, don't go thinking it or making it how you think about them
Dogs can be noise sensitive
Dogs can be touch sensitive
Dogs can be movement sensitive
Dogs can be naturally fearful/anxious
They are dogs
And especially when you take in one who doesn't have the best genetics, they are just very prone to being sensitive
It's not a bad thing
It doesn't mean they were abused
It just means that they are more sensitive to certain things and need more help
Don't keep them from getting the help they need by putting a blanket statement over them that you don't even know is true
