The reason to watch this version is the last bit, they've pushed the whisperer audio way way up. So, if you didn't hear anything in the walker noises on the sdcc trailer, this time it's much more audible.

Rick Grimes’ final episodes are previewed in the trailer for The Walking Dead’s ninth season. Andrew Lincoln has confirmed that this will be his last season, so it will be interesting to see how his exit pans out.

This video is nearly identical to the trailer that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, so don’t expect any new footage. Based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series of the same name, the show returns on October 7 on AMC.

Lincoln stars with Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Alanna Masterson, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Avi Nash, and Callan McAuliffe.

An Analysis of Rick and His Pursuit of Jessie

It is a truth nearly universally accepted that the Jessie/Rick “romance” from The Walking Dead comic has been fraught with issues – big time issues. I will not catalog all of them as others have written lengthy analysis on the topic (from the sexist trope of women in refrigerators, from the worrying way they portrayed domestic violence, to Rick’s predatory behavior around Jessie prior to learning she was in trouble, etc.). What keeps tickling my brain is: why did they botch it so very badly?

(Note: This is not necessarily a defense of Rick, but rather an alternative way of looking at his behavior. It made me feel better writing it.)
