How about some headcannons about Killer Croc, Riddler, the Penguin, Ragdoll and Firefly cooperate with a private detective and potential s/o ? They morally grey, with some Sherlock Holmes vibes ( they smart but a little eccentric ).

I’m guessing you wanted the versions from “The Batman (2004)?” Also, I don’t write for Firefly, but I can do the others!

The Batman!Waylon Jones:

One thing you need to know is that Waylon is not nearly as dumb as people think he is. Sure, he knows he’s not the smartest guy in Gotham City, but he knows more than most people would give him credit for.

Trust me, he’s used to eccentric. Have you seen the people he hangs out with? You’re nothing new, and nothing you throw at him is going to surprise him much. He’s the “People will die” to your “Of fun!”

You ever need a pair of eyes and ears, he’s your guy. You’d be shocked what people will say when they think no one is listening. Plus, he’s good at remaining undetected. How do you think he’s made it this far?

The Batman!Edward Nygma:

On one-hand, you’re the perfect match for him. You can bounce ideas off of each other, work together to track down clues, and he genuinely enjoys getting to learn about your work.

One the other hand, he’s still a wanted criminal, so keeping you off his tail is one of his top priorities. Even if you do know (and don’t care) that he’s a criminal, he wants to keep you safe from the underbelly of Gotham.

Regardless, you’re going to end up getting tangled up with the Bat at one point or another, which is one of his biggest worries. He trusts you, of course, but one can never be too careful.

The Batman!Oswald Cobblepot:

First he’s gotta deal with The Bat, and now he’s got to deal with you too? How many damn detectives live in this forsaken city?! Well. Whatever. As long as you stay out of his way, he doesn’t really care what you do.

He is absolutely tailing you, making sure to erase any possible clues that might lead back and him and his criminal exploits. If the two of you are going to be stuck together, then what you don’t know won’t hurt you, right?

Sure, he can help you out and throw you a bone every now and then, but honestly, he’d rather stay out of the whole thing. Can’t risk slipping up and having you catch onto him. (He hates getting his hands dirty.)

The Batman!Ragdoll:

Oh, how fun! As a kid, he was actually a huge fan of the Sherlock Holmes books, so he can quote them by heart. It’s something most people would never expect from him, so it’s usually a pleasant little surprise.

He really likes getting to learn about all the cases you’ve worked on, or are working on, and adding his own little ideas or hypothesis about whatever could have happened (or is happening).

His theories are a little “out there,” but it’s the thought that counts. And, if he ever happens to come across anything linking to your work while he’s out, he’ll make sure to drop by to give you the up-and-up.
