I love how we say "PROTECT THIS CHARACTER AT ALL COSTS" and then we go and hurt them like they have never been hurt before

Hamza’s gofundme is here:
Hamza is fleeing Gaza and has no source of income. His sisters are children, food is scarce and he has no home.
His gofundme is severely down on donations. He reached out to me to help. I can’t donate because I’m underage, but many people can. If you can and if you’re willing, please consider donating to Hanza and his family.
Thank you so much, love from Qibs. <3
Hey, Smaller Bodies! <3
Writing dilemma! Working on Destroy-A-Toy's first installment. The problem is that it takes place in 1991 while the fic is meant to take place in 1995.
Smaller Bodies = 1991
Destroy-A-Toy = 1995
Yet the first DAT fic is in 1991. I'm considering making it a flashback, sharply jumping at the very end to a paragraph break with Dogday sighing and thinking back at how the chapter happened 'four years ago'. The only problem with THAT is there are two more fics planned that also deal with the repercussions of what happened in 1991.
Three first DAT fics:
YOU, UH... YOU'RE DIFFERENT
PAINTING SUNS!
BABY STEPS!
First one introduces a new character, the second one explains why Dogday's bandana has suns on it (since in the written works it's just been plain yellow) and the third one goes over KickinChicken's blindness. After these three "worldbuilding" fics, the ultimate 1995 plot begins.
This is a problem for me because it doesn't roll with the strict time jump... unless it's three consecutive flashbacks. Call me a writing nerd but that seems like a weak excuse to me. Maybe I'm nitpicking, feel free to call me out for being too particular with the way I write...
Would you guys mind if the first three fics touch base on the Sugar Breath aftermath?
I wish you could do more than one poll because I ALSO have to ask if you'd prefer this as a flashback or not.
Please comment/reply! Thank you! <3

Theodore's age will change, but right now he's 7 years old. Theodore is very important here.

This is fascinating! I have a main OC named Manitári (Greek for “mushroom”) whose symbol is the amanita. Mushrooms in general are a fascination of mine so I’m gonna be referencing this :D
Fly amanitas, Amanita muscaria, growing near one of their favorite trees: oak. They frequently form mychorrhizal associations with spruce, pine, cedars, and other conifers. These mushrooms are iconic and easy to recognize! They can be yellow to dark red, and usually have white “warts”, which are remnants of the veil that covered them when they were developing. These mushrooms contain muscimol and are hallucinogenic, and have been used as entheogens by a number of groups of people, primarily in Siberia and Finland. In Siberia, they were often eaten in winter by local people (as well as reindeer!), which is part of why we associate them and their white and red coloring with Christmas! I personally wouldn’t advise eating them, as they can do anything from warm you up bit to cause really vomiting, sleeping for days, and wild delusions of grandeur (a famous story I learned in mycology class involved an older woman accidentally cooking them and thinking she was Jesus, then sleeping for a few days). Their common name of “fly amanita” stems from that they were traditionally used to kill flies in a milk solution.
Hey there, I’m Qibs! (she/her) Author of the Smaller Bodies Initiative and Destroy-A-Toy! Lovely to have ya here! 💜🫂
