kim kitsuragi revelations
Thinking about how, whether he is conscious of it or not, Armand has already partially broken the cycle of abuse he was subjected to, simply by not turning Daniel when he was young.
The precise nature of Armand's very existence is a permanent reminder of what he was forced to live through, regardless of if he even has the ability to process the trauma in the first place. If he so much as catches his reflection out of the corner of his eye, he is reminded of the coveting and commodification of his youth and how the most innocent time of his life was weaponised against him. He is frozen there. His face looks so innocent because it creates a satisfying contrast with his actions narratively, but its also because he was. He was innocent. And that was stolen from him by selfish, greedy people who pretended their actions were out of love.
By letting Daniel go (assuming Devil's Minion era happened in the seventies), Armand protected him from this. Daniel experienced his entire youth and what it was like to age out of it without the fear of no longer having value like Armand did, and then came adulthood. He has lived to an age that Arun never could have dreamt of, that Amadeo was forced to realise, at one point, he would never experience, not in the human sense at least. He'll never have lines on his face like Daniel does. His worry lines and smile lines will never deepen. He won't develop crow's feet from squinting in the sun, which turned its back on him long ago anyway. His hair will never grey. Marius made certain of that.
But Daniel got to have all of that. His beloved got to live his life, fuck it up over and over and make a million mistakes. He had the freedom and the agency to do it. Armand will not see it, but he gave Daniel exactly what was taken from him so long ago. He is not just evil. He does not destroy everything. He gave Daniel the real gift, and now they get to move onto the next stage of Daniel's life together (after a couple seasons of slow burn I would imagine).
Just as he sees the tragedy of his past on his own face, he sees the potential he has to be different on Daniel's. He has immortalised true beauty in Daniel. The beauty of having lived a long life.
Sadie and Charles friendship headcannons bc they barely interact in the game and that’s a CRIME:
Charles carved her a little flower when she first came to camp. He didn’t say anything just a simple gift.
Sadie always goes up to Charles and tells him “I could take you in a fight.” And he always just nods and says, “I know Mrs. Adler.”
Sadie will complain about anything to Charles. Charles get into it too. One time Sadie was saying some awful shit Micah said and Charles literally gasped and said “That bitch!”
Sadie overheard Charles say that he forgot how to braid his hair, and so she got a couple of the girls together (Karen and Tilly especially) and they had a whole night of it.
One time Sadie was being harassed in a bar and Charles (can’t handle his alcohol, has a temper, and respects women) kicked the guy square in the dick and screamed at him that no one talks to his friends that way.
They are both WAY too competitive. They once played FFF for 3 days STRAIGHT because neither one would accept a loss. Arthur eventually had to intervene.
Sadie calls Charles the most insane nicknames. “C Smitty,” “Carls Smoth,” and “My guy Chucky” being notable ones. No one else can call Charles a nickname.
once again marveling at what a miracle it was that Armand, who wanted to examine a blood sample of the first vampire he knew, who eagerly debates philosophical questions until sunrise, who wants to get to the bottom of every new thing he discovers, got to find Daniel Molloy, the investigative journalist whose literal job and life mission it is to explore and uncover truth and meaning like?? can two people be more perfect for each other??
"Arthur Morgan would shoot you just for breathing around him"
Arthur in the game:
[made this compilation for myself as a bday gift but y'all can have it too]
the VA for dutch, benjamin byron davis, said something really interesting in that old AMA reddit thread - someone asked if dutch would have visited any of the graves of his dead gang members and he basically said “no, because it would just remind him of his mistakes” and i think that is essential to understanding why he ultimately left arthur on that cliff. i don’t think it was apathy and by that point, i don’t believe that dutch still thought arthur was the rat. even if only subconsciously, seeing arthur broken and near death was proof that he failed. at the end of the day, arthur was his boy, in a way that only applied to arthur and john. he raised them and i think he felt at least somewhat responsible for them. seeing arthur sick, dying, and brutalized by someone that dutch had let influence him to a great degree broke him. he is so ashamed he cannot bear to see his boy - his first boy - die because of him. being there for arthur in his last moments means apologizing and apologizing means admitting fault in some way.
it’s this meme but instead of running to arthur’s side he’s running away from him
Missing Assad hours
Like yeah, the show hasn’t even begun filming and won’t come out til next year but I actually don’t care, I literally just miss Assad
