Andrea Gibson, Lord of the Butterflies
Everyday,
I wake up to another nightmare
too wild but definitely real,
unable to stand up and fight
unable to be the knight in armor
unable to work hard for my dreams
unable to love, to fight.
I wish to be reborn.
right into the arms of a monster.
A monster who will tame my wildness. to an extend.

Stand, straightening bones
Stretch, cough, shake my dream dust coat
New day to make most.

the absolute truth .
Words cannot express the absolute rage I feel when I think I’m getting better and it all comes crashing down again.
"is this too cliche?" who cares? bro, write what you have fun writing. stuff your manuscript full of your favourite tropes. the same themes you love. all inspired by things you grew up with. do it all. go off. load. it. up. be freeeee
Whenever you are down and you feel like waving the white flag When the tears are heavy and leave divots in the sand beneath you When you feel as if you are truly alone
I believe in you.
When everything reminds you of her her face and presence are in every brick of this city When you feel crushed By the weight of the black and starless sky When there's nothing left to describe
I believe in you
When the panic bites hard and you can't breathe so certain you'll die When the lake is calling and you might just walk to right in When every option is the worst option
I believe in you
When all you can do is scream And push everything far away When the distractions finally stop doing what they were made for When you cry whenever your in the rain
I believe in you
When you feel that you have no place to go and things just seem to be piling upon you When depression goes untreated and the thoughts come and tell you to jump When you survive today and hope for tomorrow
I believe in you I believe in you
poetry doesn't have to be full of metaphors, or comparisons to flowers, and diamonds, and one of kind things, it could be anything, something as simple as declaration in pure words, is equally beautiful, with no mazes, no puzzles, sure, imagination puts minds at work, but there is something raw and beautiful about simplification, and honesty.

— Hélène Cixous
you can not speak in poetry
to someone who does not read.
they don’t know what it’s like
to have to pick up a pen to survive.
"i feel safe with you."
