In response to your last post about selfshipping! I absolutely do that with my self-ships too! I make my s/i a minor like 99% of the time, and on the occasion that I feel like it, I'll make my romantic f/o a familial f/o as well, or vice-verse, usually as a form of coping with my trauma as well! Selfshipping that way is 100% valid, cause you aren't really hurting anybody! There really is no correct or incorrect way to self-ship, and you shouldn't let anybody try to tell you otherwise! - @touchstarved-syrup-selfships

I really adore the proship darkshippers/darkfic creators who go out of the canon and interpret characters however the hell they want to. The ones who are feral about it and either make an already villainous character worse or make a canonically heroic or innocent character batshit insane. I'm saying all of this for a reason, it's fun and interesting, and I'm actually really interested in knowing what you guys do to make your favorite characters or ships worse too, if you do that, that is. This is a safe space to rant about all the interesting and creative thoughts you have about that; the what ifs, the complexities, the alternate universes, the dark gruesome gut wrenchingly vile scenarios, etc; I'd like to hear all about it. No matter if it 'fits canon' or not. It's so cool to see how people interpret characters compared to their canon sources. There's no limit to what your mind can come up with and I want you all to have the space to jot it down and tell someone about it. The creativity and imagination you guys hold will always be appreciated whether you know it or not.

Also, if you're a proshipper who doesn't indulge in dark fiction feel free to still do the same with this post, it absolutely does not need to be dark and gruesome to be written and expressed. I'll be interested either way to see your own interpretations of things. Make them worse, make them better, change them into something completely different, put them in any scenario you want- good, bad, sweet and fluffy or whump and pure angst or a complex mix of both, turn them into a completely unrecognizable celestial being even though they're canonically just some average joe, have fun and do whatever you want forever.

If you were ever considering that they dislike you, that they're annoyed, fed up, or tired of you, you couldn't be further from the truth. I'm actually thriving with Love and DeepSpace, Caleb is so perfect ahhh <3 He was definitely made for the ones who prefer just a pinch 🤏🏻 of darker romance. But it also opened my eyes a little about just how sensitive anti's morals are? There are so many Love and DeepSpace players who can't enjoy Caleb's character AT ALL because he's a little bit possessive and obsessive, he borders on yandere but he really doesn't either? He won't kill just any regular person, he will really only kill/hurt people who harm MC. So even if they WERE ogling at her, that wouldn't prompt him to kill them, but he has many of the other yandere traits! And also, theyre childhood friends, who seemed to have a sort've brotherly-sisterly bond. Caleb never thought of it that way but he always kept his feelings hidden for the sake of making her happy! Though his character runs much, much deeper than that, the fandom makes it where you have to validate enjoying Caleb's character or else you're a freak weirdo who likes pseudo-incest, you do NOT need to validate enjoying his character omg 😭!! And so what if they do enjoy making them have a step-sibling bond while he's a love interest, I think of it that way sometimes myself, and I self-ship with him too 😭 People will act like if you can't 'validate' liking him based on their morals then you're p0rn addicted and an awful person, no!! There's so many sweet moments with him too, I ADORE all the sappy, romantic, tender and sweet moments, just because he's abit of a darker character, or just because he's a character whose much easier to use for darker dynamics, doesn't mean anything omgg 😭 Someone said 'So many people started playing the game because of the fact Caleb was like a brotherly figure who turned into a L/I and that's really concerning' no it isn't 😭 as long as those people aren't participating in those things IRL there is no issue, let them enjoy their fictional interests. There are FAR worse characters in media, in otome games in general, and no that doesn't mean you should bash those characters or their enjoyers, but it should open your eyes about just how common and OKAY it is to see people put their fictional interests into practice in their writing and art.

For the pro-ship self-shippers who equally enjoy darkships and self-shipping, imagine your f/o making content of your favorite darkships with you as a way to show their support! Whether or not they're the artistically creative type, imagine your f/o still putting in the effort to try. Fics, art, blurbs, edits, roleplay, etc, they'd love to indulge in your interests with you, as a way to get closer with you and as a way to show that they're more than content with the fact that you find entertainment and/or comfort in these fictional scenarios. They think you are SO creative and feel so lucky to be with someone who has such an interesting and creative mind! Oh and yes, this also pertains to if those dark scenarios include them directly!
