what would be the equivalent of a “childless cat lady” for a writer? whatever it is, i am that
i feel like an old maiden in dating culture. girls, don’t settle <3 do what makes you happiest!
i know some people hate when books have playlists… but i honestly love them sm.
from an author pov, it’s my way of showing readers which songs were going through my mind as i wrote the story AND which songs best relate/convey the emotions of whatever my characters are feeling/going through. it just makes them feel more real imo.
it’s also just fun! god forbid a girl have a little fun with her writing!
this!!
If you’re shrouded in writers block and desperately want to shoo it away to keep going with your WIP, it sometimes helps to delete the last few sentences/paragraph/scene and rewrite it. Sometimes you accidentally build dams in your creative stream and the only way around is to go back and break it down
Main characters meeting up be like:
They hate Rachel Zegler for being confident and unserious as a woman tbh. Only male actors are allowed to be flippant and disparaging about their projects - a female actor has to shower any film she's in with praise and admiration lest she come across as an ungrateful untalented bitch 🙄🙄🙄 everybody LOVED robert Pattinson for chatting shit about the twilight saga at all hours. But when Rachel doss it it's suddenly a problem. MISOGYNYYY
WHETHER I'M GONNA BE YOUR WIFE OR GONNA SMASH UP YOUR BIKE I HAVEN'T DECIDED YET BUT IMGONNAGETYOUBACK
sometimes i wish it didn’t take me so long to rediscover my love for writing. it’s something i LOVED as a kid. i loved books and was so mesmerized by the fictional world. then that love got lost as i grew older and i only just started rediscovering it almost two years ago.
can’t help but wonder how much closer i’d be to my writing dreams had i rediscovered my love for it sooner or never lost it to begin with.
🦋☀️🧡
i’m surprised by how much i *love* writing in third person considering how much i used to dislike reading in third person.
finding my love for writing again has made me appreciate third person writing so much more!!!
third person chapters have become like an exclusive, special pov in my series since 90% of the chapters i write are in the first person pov.
what can i say, i love playing with/switching up pov’s mid story😄 whether it’s including multiple character pov’s in one book or surprising the readers by randomly jumping into a third person pov.
like you know it’s serious if you stumble across a third person pov in one of my books😭 shit is about to go down fr
