(an ace safe space)
1. Progesterone: not for everyone, but for many people it may increase sex drive and WILL make your boobs bigger. Also effects mood in ways that many find positive (but some find negative). Most doctors won’t prescribe this to you unless you ask. Most trans girls I know swear by it.
2. Injectible estrogen: is more effective than pill or patch form. Get on it if you can bear needles bc you will see more effects more quickly.
3. Estradiol Cypionate: There is currently a shortage of injectible estradiol valerate. There is no shortage of estradiol cypionate. Functionally they do the same shit.
4. Bicalutamide: This is an anti-androgen that has almost none of the side-effects of spironolactone or finasteride. The girls I know who are on it are evangelical about it.
my teacher: get your phone away

alright story time folks. this actually happened a few months ago, but i was just reminded by @yawpkatsi‘s FUBAR.
i was sitting in the waiting room at my therapists, and this middle age man with a service dog walk in and sit down across the room from me. his dog has a service vest on and immediately lays down underneath the chair his owner is sitting in (not an easy feat as he was a pitbull mix of some sort). anyway, the man and i start talking, and he says his dog (can’t remember his name, so lets call him james), is for his ptsd. we keep talking and after a while james starts whining. i stop talking, cause idk what that means. but the man just smiles and asks me if i want to pet james. i, of course say yes, never turn down an opportunity to pet a doggo. he looks down at james and tells him to “go on then”, and immediatey james leaps the few feet seperating us and sits at my feet. he starts nuzzling at me and licking my hands, and i look up at the man, cause this doesn’t really seem like proper service dog behavior. i tell him that, he laughs, and says james is much better behaved when they aren’t here, cause james tends to get overwhelmed here. i’m kinda confused, its not like there are a lot of people or noise or smells in here? but he continues and says it’s because james’ primary job is to comfort ppl in distress and in a waiting room for a therapist, just about everyone needs some comfort.
so that’s the story of the dog that wanted to help everyone and almost made me cry cause he cared about me so much.
Condors and vultures are essentially the opposite of horses, in that they are flawless celestial beings
You will need:
Dried rosemary needles
Dried sage leaves
Dried thyme
Handful cedar chips
Fire safe bowl or cauldron
While many people love to buy things second hand to save money, a drawback to doing so is the energy, sometimes negative, which clings to these things and is still present when they become ours. These energies can be cleared easily, and it is preferable to do this on any item we will be exposing ourselves to regularly such as clothing or a vehicle.
Place the cedar chips in the bowl and light them. When they start to smoke, add the rosemary, sage, and thyme. Once everything has caught on fire a little and there is a good amount of smoke, slowly pass the item you are purifying through the smoke. If your item is too large to do this, such as a car, circle the item and waft the smoke around it with your hands. Say: rosemary, sage, and thyme, remove any evil which may dwell within. Cedar, clear this (item) and make it new. Smoke wash away the past. As I will it, so mote it be.
Allow the herbs and cedar chips to finish burning, and your item is now purified and ready for new ownership.

Eyewitness, a crime drama on USA that features two lgbt teen leads, is in desperate need of viewers. The show’s creator, adi hasak, has tweeted about how badly it needs viewers, as have the two lead actors, james paxton and tyler young.
adi stated that the show is averaging about 500k, but it needs about a million viewers to have any sort of chance at a renewal. the show was originally pitched as a anthology, but there have been hints that maybe the characters would stay the same, or at the least, the actors could return for the second season but as different characters (think american horror story).
eyewitness deals with issues like internalized homophobia, foster care, addiction, and, of course, features a triple homicide. it does not shy away from showing intimate scenes with the male leads, which is refreshing after watching shows for years that would “cut away” or just make the intimacy “implied.”
the actors are also extremely aware of how important this show is for the lgbt community. they both are very active and informed about lgbt issues and are SO great to their fans.
the first four episodes are available to stream on USA’s website (I do believe any country can watch these right now).
the show airs Sundays at 10/9c on USA. It’s very important that if you’re able to watch, you watch it as it airs.
Not able to watch it? You can still help! Being active on social media about the show is really important! Eyewitness doesn’t have an official twitter handle, but the actors and creator have said to tweet #eyewitness and @USA_Network to promote the show and also to just show the network its popularity.
have you watched the show and just don’t care for it but still care about your friends who watch it? my final desperate plea is if you’re able and willing, please just put the show on your tv and mute it if you really don’t want to watch. I know that sounds kind of sad, but 2016 has been rough, y’all, and this show has been such a bright spot (no pun intended).
Green Day posted this picture on their Facebook page:
Which, given their history of political opinions, makes sense.
But the comments are fucking wild, man. Like, did these commentators even listen to any of Green Day’s work?
Buddy, you used Green Day as an escape from politics? I don’t think you understand how that works.
Yes, yes, Green Day should stay out of politics. They’ve really been known for the quietness on political events (*sarcasm*).
What are Green Day’s music or public statements makes you think they are willing to sit by and let an authoritarian demagogue rise without protesting that? He hasn’t said “mean things,” he’s a fucking dictator-in-waiting.
But at least some commentators got it:
