i dont think that people actually dislike 'fluff' in writing its just that not many people know how to write characters well when nothing high stakes is happening and therefore the scenes feel bland or wasted (tucks and rolls offstage) because they can only imagine people to be interesting during high action scenes and not during the slower moments in between (slides on a tomato) likely because they consider their own life and the people around them uninteresting and cannot imagine characters they want to like to be anything less than larger than life when in reality the quiet humanity between action is the core of all good character writing (gets shot)

bisan has just posted a video that israel has lit up the sky, signalling they will bomb tonight, and that she has nowhere to go. she is in khan yunis--the south, where she was told to go to.

you can hear planes overhead as she speaks.

she wants israel to finally admit the truth--they do not want palestinians to go to "safe" parts of gaza, they want people to leave entirely and recreate the 1948 nakba.

i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point

The scaraether dynamic i want is one where they don’t make each other worse, but they most definitely don’t make each other better. But if they do, its going in directions that definitely doesn’t benefit others around themselves.

Like Aether being an eldritch horror thats potentially a world eater getting courted by Wanderer, who is a living puppet.

Aether reluctantly charmed by Wanderer’s obsession, trying to go “This isn’t healthy for either of us, and is not a good standard for relationships” and it’s true.

But he’s unable to stop himself from being drawn to Wanderer’s promises, the concept of someone that’s just for himself.

Someone who would make him a priority with their own volition. Someone who doesn’t have other attachments that would stop them from helping him when he needs it. Someone who won’t abandon him. Someone who will willingly make themselves a permanent fixture by his side. (Paimon is also that, but she’s more like his child, someone he needs to nurture and also hide terrible things from).

Basically Wanderer being “I can be the hero to your damsel in distress.”

And Aether realizing he really doesn’t mind being a damsel in distress if its Wanderer who saves him.

Thanks to the Irminsul they can have a mental link, and when Aether gets trapped by the Fatui, truly put in a helpless situation, Paimon trapped in a seperate cage, he finds himself reaching out to the Wanderer almost blindly, numbly.

And the Wanderer abandons everything almost immediately to rescue him. He doesn’t keep him waiting.

please dont stop talking about palestine . i do not trust israel and there has been multiple ceasefires theyve completely ignored . if we do happen to see iof soldiers leave and no longer occupy palestine , they would still need to rebuild . this includes medical aid and addressing airborne diseases , finding displaced families and reuniting them , etc ... their entire infrastructure needs to be rebuilt so please do not forget about palestine and do not let the US take credit for their liberation .
