What We Need Is... More Books

After long last I realized that instead of battling with the constant urge to swap my book defaults, I could just give my sims more books to read.

This mod combines both of mine + iSimChi's book defaults and makes the game randomize between those for each genre. So instead of 7 books, there are 21 ✨

I made my older covers use the pages of my newer ones since they have more details.

The mod also fixes the following book behavior:

Books placed outside of bookshelves will no longer turn upwards when a lot is loaded

The 'read to sleep' interaction (that was added in Apartment Life and appears on minors who are in bed but haven't yet fallen asleep) will use children's books instead of the skilling one

This mod consists of two files. In addition to the mod file, there's a texture file that includes the needed book defaults.

If you want to use the mod with some other defaults, simply replace the textures from the texture file. You can also use that file as a base for making your own default set of 21 books.

Free Time is required. Conflicts with other book cover default replacements, remove those before using these. Also conflicts with ftminifixes by Pescado, if you want to use both make my mod load last (you'll lose the golden book that ftminifixes brings back to the reward bookcase since this mod randomizes textures for that bookcase too).

⚠️ A replacement for novel icons isn't included. You'll probably want to get the one from my newer defaults, as those covers will be used for the novels with the included texture file.

Update (11.11.2024): The covers are now also randomized for the bed/hammock reading interactions and for the film & literature reading while walking hobby idle. For all of these, sims can now also pick books other than skilling and will show an individual taste in books based on the sim's interests, hobbies, and aspirations, as well as on 3t2 traits* if those are used.

*Includes trait checks for bookworm, computer whiz, dramatic, hopeless romantic, natural cook, and perceptive.

All the books have 512x512 textures and use a 64x64 specular map. The mod file includes improved material definitions that also fix some lighting issues for the drama and the scifi books.

TS2 CC - Jumbo Animal Crossing Dog Plushies

Introducing my new CC release, Animal Crossing dog plushies!

These pups make the perfect addition in TS2 to any Animal Crossing fan, anybody who loves cute and cuddly animals, or someone who wants to add more toys to your catalog. This collection includes favorites such as:

Bea, Benjamin, Biskit, Bones, Butch, Cherry, Cookie, Daisy, Goldie, Lucky, Mac, Maddie, Marcel, Portia, Shep, and Walker.

In addition to this, I’ve also included four dogs that were never included in the newer games, with their textures upscaled to the higher poly models: Bow, Champagne, Masa, and Megumi.

I want to give credit to the original person who ripped the model from Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is Centrixe of Models-Resource and Tundraviolet of Deviantart for ripping the textures/models from Amiibo Festival and if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t have been able to port them to The Sims 2 in the first place. Credit for the models goes to Nintendo.

TU-AU Nu Metal EAxis Tank Tops

Since I'm still playing The Sims 2, it should be obvious I'm forever stuck in the 2000s - This time I went back a little earlier, to the actual turn of the millennium with nu metal band logos!

As a sort of loophole for my Maxis match tendencies, I only used logos that looked like they could be interpreted as just an abstract design and not necessarily english words. Obviously some are literally the band's initial(s), but like I said they're abstract enough that I can pretend they're not for the sake of TS2 :P

Everything is on an EAxis mesh. Specifically TFtopBlousedWaist, AFtopBlousedWaist, TMtopNaked, and AMtopTankTop.

TF is repositoried to AF, so the AF files are required to see the TF textures. TM & AM are separate meshes that don't look the same at all, so they're not repositoried (I tried, it looked bad lol).

I also edited the TM/AM alphas so that the tank top goes down further than the original and looks better with lower waisted pants. They might still look cut off with certain pants, because of something in the mesh that I can't remember and idk how I'd edit since they're EAxis meshes.

The swatch in the .zip folder is labeled with the names, so you can easily delete ones you don't want.

Tamagotchi Mirror and Pet Bed Shelf for The Sims 2

These are a 4to2 conversions from Hydrangea and Pixelvibes, low poly. Mirror is functional, the pet bed is for cats only (it has 3 slots on it).

27 Recolours of @neosimi's conversion of atomiclight's retro posters

Features mainly media I like or know of and is nostalgic to me. Except for Chaos;Head, I made that just for you Brad <3 The original dimensions were 256x256, but i changed it to 512x512 since some of the images were getting a little crusty. Mesh included.

Publix Deli Uniform for TU-AU

Now your sims can cosplay as Florida's favourite grocery store's stressed out and understaffed employees. Use's @deedee-sims's top only OFB aprons. (Bless you for adding a .psd file for recolourists.) No elders because bodyshop pitched a fit when trying to make for them. AF and TF swatch is backwards ignore that. Mesh included.

All Eyebrow Sets Updated

My biggest gripe with blond eyebrows is how they always blend in with S4 no matter what hair system you use or what skin defaults you use. Grey brows are also darkened because they have this issue too. I updated all of my default eyebrows to reflect this new change. Nondefault brows I recoloured will be uploaded later this year.

Included is Maxis Eyebrows, Poppet Eyebrows, and Io Eyebrows. Download is in bulk, so choose only one set. (I personally use Poppet's.)

This is a 4to2 conversion from ZAO. It comes in 5 colors and is available for both male and female, toddler to elder. You can find them in the accessories section (better make the original ears very small).

All beds? All beds. All bedding? Most bedding.

All of the beds from Sims 4 now brought to you in the comfort of Sims 2, plus a mega ton of 4t2 bedding. Hope you like them all, please let me know if there are any issues.

This also includes a default bedding file - these bedding are not included in the custom options because I didn't want duplicates 😅

Ultimate Collection (all packs/eps) is required. *Also you'll need LordCrumps' shadow file (you only need 1)*

One thing of note: thanks to @applewatersugar, I updated the uv mapping on the single bed using their beard tutorial so it is now aligned to double bed mapping. This means that some of my bedding won't look great on others' customs or TS2 single beds. There are very few that just look "off" (default replacements are pictured with TS2 bed). pic under the cut

Another thing of note: LordCrumps gave me permission to reupload the Horse Ranch beds + For Rent bed so it's all in one place. The single beds are updated with the new bed UV. If you have his, delete them. I did not convert/include the murphy bed because HugeLunatic did everything I would do here. So...maybe not all the beds lol
